Hotels near Zakinthos Airport

Pros: Very clean, very quiet, most days when we stayed by the pool we were the only ones there, definately no fighting for sunbeds here!

Cons: A little way out of the centre but the family were brilliant at running us to the beach and town

Pros: Good location, close to Zakynthos port as well as Kallamaki beach.

Cons: Internet WiFi could be a bit better.

Pros: We loved our stay. Myself my mother daughter and grandson have just returned.. we had 2 apartments ..a large and smaller one which were perfect and met our needs completely. Accommodation and pool immaculately clean and well looked after.. good air con which was needed as so hot..hosts were amazing...we were well looked after throughout our stay and gave good recommendations of places to go and restaurants etc. Apartments in good position between kalamaki and zante town so easily accessible and the owners gave us lifts many times and nothing was too much trouble..they even gave us lift back to airport. A lovely family run place and owners take a real pride in the property. Hosts were brilliant with my 11 year old grandson and elderly mother and i will definately be returning.. i highly recommend this place ..it was peaceful and calm and we didnt want to come home. A huge thank you to our hosts for making our stay so enjoyable ..they made all the difference.. the kindest people !!

Pros: It's a very good apartment have a nice host and her son Nikos is very enthusiastic he drive us to see the night view of Zakinthos and told us many interesting stories about this island we had an unforgettable memory here.If u come to Zakinthos this apartment is ur best choice.

Pros: Had a fantastic stay here. The villa was lovely and clean. The owners where so lovely and friendly they couldn’t do enough for us. As soon as we arrived they gave us free bottled water and a beer, then when we was settled in are room the lady brought us fresh fruit. We would recommend it to everybody, we couldn’t fault a thing.

Pros: We loved the island, the beaches, the food. Our host was most helpful and caring. We had a great time.

Cons: When I arrived to the hotel I was asked to pay extra money for my daughter which is 9 years old , so I had to pay same price like for an adult which is ridiculous. The check in was a real nightmare waiting in front to reception up to two hours and trying to find a solution . In the hotel policy on booking.com ,is not mentioned that you have to pay for childrens. There is mentioned that all childrens are welcome but nothing about age policy or charge . That was unexpected cost taking me over budget for holiday and all my plans were changed.

Pros: First the staff were amazing.. we arrived around 8:30pm when dinner is untill 9pm so they suggest us to leave the lagguage and go to eat first (we also notice that when a group came late, they saved them some dinner). They also let us keep one of the 2 rooms fpr a late check out even though they were fully booked that day without extra charge. Second we were traveling 2 couples with 2 babies so i wanted to make sure we have 2 adjacent rooms with cribs, and they answered quickly to all my mails and questions. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was great. The hotel is totally accessible for disabled.

Cons: The airport was do near by that you could hear the departures and landings, yet it was pretty quiet in the room and there werent flights during the night. They should make a shuttle bus to and from the airport. The shower is open without any door, something that should be emphasized. Should be more activities for children, and maybe a small playroom for them.

Pros: Everything was just excellent. I can recommend more seafood products for the all-inclusive option, as well as a bit better variety for the local drinks. We drinking only Ouzo as we liked the fact that this one was not so strong. Others perhaps will like something different. Kostas our bartender did an amazing job. He even remembered us and every time we were approaching the bar our drinks were ready. Same with the girls on the reception. Very positive attitude. Rooms are very well designed and there is enough room in the lobby and in the restaurant for all. We never felt it was too crowdy.

Cons: he only thing we did not like that much was the fitness and the game room as well as the complimentary dinner in the Ala carte restaurant.

Pros: Hotel baked us birthday cakes as was a birthday trip, and left a card in the room on arrival and offered us a free bottle of champagne. The room was a suite and beautiful.

Cons: The pool bar only has one lady to serve drinks for all the guests and poor selection of drinks. I can suggest to get more staff at the bar and serve in better re usable plastic cups. And get some better cocktails in the selection like aperol spritz very easy and cheep to make with wine and soda.

Pros: The rooms are spotlessly clean and finished in a modern way, and the hotel itself is very clean and really well maintained. The food is absolutely fantastic, with plenty of variety, and the restaurant staff are all lovely. Free AC & WiFi.

Cons: Sunbeds are all "reserved" around 08:00 AM...so if you don't go early you will have to stay on the grass. Pool towels are available at the reception for a €5 deposit per towel, but you get a ticket and at the end of your trip you hand them the ticket and and you will get your money back. The pool towel was very old and ripped.

Pros: Just perfect. The staff is the most friendly and warmest in the world. They helped us with everything: tips and tricks about the island, places to visit, the best local food places, corona tests, car renting, everything. The first day we arrived and registered, staff offered drinks and breakfast (we came 30 min after the breakfast was over). This is something I never experienced anywhere else. The room was great and clean. The position of the hotel, in our opinion, is perfect because the great beach (sandy beach, not stony) is 500m away from the hotel. Main party streets and other bigger cities of the island are within 10 minutes of drive with a car. The place is silent at the night. There is a local small shop just 20 meters away from the hotel. It takes 5 minutes to reach the hotel from the airport, therefore the taxi costs only 15 eur. The hotel has a bar with very great prices for drinks! Because of the bar, we met most of the hotel guests and exchanged various trip ideas and adventures (extremely helpful). Most importantly, the staff was the most friendly we have ever met. One of the owners of the hotel (smart, educated, and very nice person) also works at the bar sometimes. We met him on the first day and spend almost every evening at the bar discussing, laughing and enjoying our time on the island. We have met a couple who comes for 10 years+ only to this hotel. Now we fully understand why. Because it is perfect! We plan to visit the island and stay here next year. Highly recommended hotel. P.S. My wife is a professional photographer and her main job in the island was to photoshoot the wedding that was supposed to happen in this hotel. Unfortunately, it was canceled (corona stuff). The hotel has separate places for weddings close to the hotel and the places are just gorgeous!! A lot of space, both inside and outside, great decorations, lighting. The hotel has its own wedding planner if needed. My wife highly recommends this place for events such as weddings.

Pros: The staff are lovely, friendly, kind and helpful all the time. Clean and very comfortable. Delicious food, great quality, tasty and variety of choices. Great location, close to the Kalamaki beach and to the main avenue, with loads of supermarkets, cash points, restaurants and shops. I highly recommend! I intend to go back next year :)

Pros: The hotel is located close to a very nice beach and also close to the main street of Kalamaki with restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The staff is very friendly and helpful, dealing with the Covid situation as best as they can. We didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked good.

Cons: The hotel is a bit noisy, both from outside (airplanes, bars, etc) as well as inside (loud talking cleaning staff). The breakfast is okay, but we expected a bit better of a four star hotel (fresh orange juice, nicer coffee, croissants).

Pros: Excellent location, extremely comfortable bed, very organised system at breakfast under current Covid guidelines, very friendly staff, great room, fantastic all round!

Pros: The staff was helpful and quick in answering to my calls/emails/requests. It's very near the airport.

Cons: The table that we were to use to breakfast was put in the balcony... Which looks lovely, but it was a terrible fit. Although it is to sit 4, you can only sit 2 at a time. There was enough space for the table to be inside the room, too, which would've been better. There could be a place to hang the showerhead so we could shower more easily.

Pros: Apartment in a very quiet area of Kalamaki, which suited us, view from our balcony was fabulous. A/C worked fine and beds were comfortable, shower was hot but pressure varied a bit although this wasn't a problem. Staff were very friendly and always on hand if you needed anything. Bed linen and towels changed regularly and room cleaned every day by maid who was friendly and courteous. An adult and a children's swimming pool with a small playpark were available to use on adjacent property (Anagenessis Village Hotel) which also served food and drinks during the day and at night. There was also plenty of sunbeds and areas to lie out during the day at this Hotel if you wanted to use these facilities. The road that the apartments are on is a dead end so not much traffic comes down it apart from the people staying there. The gardens and surrounds of the apartments are cleaned every day and kept spotless by the cleaning staff. There is a small Supermarket called Christos within a 10 minute walk on the main road, where you can get most things you need to cook and drink, he gets fresh fruit, free range eggs and bread every day and has a good range of beers etc. he opens early in the morning and doesn't close until 11pm. His prices are very good and the owner and his wife are very friendly and will get you anything if he doesn't have it in the shop. If you want to eat out I recommend Michaelo's Traditional Greek Taverna about 15 min walk away just past Christos Supermarket, quality of food, staff and service are excellent and the prices very reasonable for freshly cooked Greek cuisine.

Cons: Water pressure in kitchen was very poor and the tap sprayed water everywhere. There was only one frying pan which didn't sit on the hob correctly and medium sized pot. There were only 3 tea spoons, 3 medium spoons, 3 forks, 3 knives and a very small serrated knife,so cooking was challenging to say the least. They definitely need a spatula, large spoon and a bread knife at least in the kitchen for people who want to do some cooking. It might be a bit quiet for some as it's a fair distance from the main strip and beach at Kalamaki but this was why we picked the apartments as we wanted to be away from the noise and busy streets of the main town, the apartments suited our need perfectly. Apart from these few niggles I would definitely recommend the apartments for anybody wanting a nice quiet stay in a clean and friendly area of Zante at a very reasonable price.

Pros: Best choice I made so far. From the airport i was walking around 25 min to the location, it is situated in the center of the city and very close to the Kalamaki beach. The two brothers was always smiling and responding to every query i made. The restaurant is awesome, great food, cleaning service top, room spacious, bathroom clean, the balcony with best view to the pool, clean sheets. I felt like home. Thank you Two Brothers Studios & Aps for this amazing holiday.

Pros: The staff are fantastic. They went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time, and were genuinely interested in talking to us. The hotel have implemented a number excellent of measures to combat COVID-19, such as giving guests the opportunity to select their sun beds for the entirety of their stay, limiting the number of people in the restaurant areas at any one time and staff getting the food from the self-service buffet areas to limit contact between guests. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained, especially around the pool and restaurant areas, and the rooms were spotless, if at times a little dated. There was a wide range of food to choose from each day, from Greek dishes to food catering to all types of guests.

Cons: Parts of the rooms were a little dated, but this is a minor point when overall everything was brilliant.

Pros: Although we were traveling during Corona time the hotel stuff arranged a wonderful holiday for us. The three of us had a beautiful clean room with much space, a little kitchen and a balcony. The whole stuff was extraordinarily friendly, helpful and sympathic (especially Elda, Thanos and Gern) although they had to do a lot of extra work for Corona reasons and were wearing masks at all time. The food was excellent with various different dishes you could choose from. To prevent infection the stuff was going to the buffet for us. Next to the hotel is a car rental station, which was ideal for us to start daytrips spontaneously. But what we liked most was the beach you could reach after a short walk about 10 minutes. We saw 5 hatchlings and 3 big sea turtles there during our 2 week stay and were traveling home with memories we‘ll never forget. Last but not least: One more extra bonus point to the stuff for organizing gluten free bread for me! Thank you very very very much!!!!

Cons: The hotel is close to the airport so you can hear between 2 and 10 plains a day but it’s only during daytime and not at all disturbing.

Pros: Excellent location with good pool and bar area. Very friendly reception staff who were happy to sort out minor queries etc. During the troubled Covid-19 summer of 2020 Vanessa was one of the only outfits taking bookings in the latter days of September and frankly beyond.

Cons: Not really anything the hotel could do about it, but there was a dog in the street behind which seem to bark constantly at quieter moments of the day. Reception were unable to loan me a high power rifle or any poised meats. 😜

Cons: One of my dresses went missing from our room. We did not know until we unpacked our case when we got home. We definitely did not leave it as we always double check our rooms when away. The only other people who entered our room were the housekeeping. I wore the dress 2 nights before our holiday had finished. We have Emailed the hotel but they have not responded. The bar and restaurant were closed when we got there because they had been ordered by the police to close for 48 hours for breaking closing orders. As we arrived at the hotel we walked past the pool to be met by a young man who looked like he had been out all night and he was spitting on the floor right next to his sunbed. After seeing that we never stayed around the pool but went to the beach.

Pros: Staff were all lovely and worked very hard :-) Limited food choices but everything I ate, I found tasty and well cooked. The restaurant food is better than the snack bar, so I'd advise to eat when the main restaurant is open! I did however enjoy the crepes a few times from the snack bar. Just wanted to give an extra mention to the staff that man the snack bar and pool bar. They are super friendly, the snack bar and pool bar can get pretty busy at times but this did not faze them at all! Always greeted with a smile :-)

Cons: The hotel has the potential to be so much better! It was just lacking in some areas. Rooms, although on the surface looked clean, on closer examination they could do will a deep clean. Mold in the bathrooms/shower rooms. Dirty corners of the rooms. squashed insects/mosquitos on the walls. I travelled with my son and had booked a family room, but when we arrived there was no duvet/blanket on the bed for him. Reception sorted with no hassle at all but shouldn't have had to ask. Massive wasp problem by the pool which I believe was due to sugary drinks being spilt during the day which is unavoidable but I can't help but think, if the hotel had hosed down the pool area at the end of each day that this wouldn't have been such an issue!

Cons: There are some serious issues about this place. There is no room cleaning ( maybe because of covid, but we spent 3 nights there, no paper allowed in the toilet... so they even havent chamged the garbage in the toilet. It is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, the food was just average, just couple of choises, not seefood, little fresh fruit, etc. And the most important: the hotel is full with British tourists, and nobody wear mask, and nobody ask them to wear. During our 3 day stay we were shocked, and scared. No social distancing, nothing. We didnt enjoy this 3 days, and were not able to enjoy our all inclusive stay due to these circumstances. We just finished or holiday and we pray to God not to get any disease ( covid for example) from these people and this hotel. We should choose another one. Never come back or any other Zante Plaza hotel in Zakinthos.

Pros: Well located, quiet and peaceful and at the same time next to the main street full of restaurants and cafes. Beach is 15min walking. I like the balcony in the room. Cleaning service in the room on a daily basis.

Cons: It was a bit harder to find as Google maps was not very accurate. The pool could be cleaner but other than that everything was fine.

Pros: A lovely stay in a family run hotel. Friendly, helpful family. Continental breakfast was served to order (no self service sue to covid) and was tasty and fresh. We had 2 bedroom apartment which was well furnished, clean and has modern bathrooms with walk in shower. Great location, just minutes from all amenities. The swimming pool was just lovely, so peaceful, plenty of space. You could get drinks, snacks, ice creams, which we did most days with our children and everything we had was fresh and tasty. We have been to Kalamaki several times and we would return to the Metaxa Hotel.

Cons: Smelly drain from second bathroom. We had 2 bathrooms so we just kept the door closed and didn't use bathroom number 2.

Pros: Stelios was so lovely, very inviting and there if we needed him... The hotel is in perfect position for the short walk to the beach and to main road where all the restaurants and bars are.. The rooms were basic but with all you need for your stay and they were cleaned every day. We had a fridge and TV. Plenty of clean, fresh bedding and towels.. Balcony had table and chairs, ours overlooked towards the rear of hotel and was surrounded by fruit trees, olive trees and palms... Air con was included in the price unlike a lot of hotels in the area.. The breakfast was just fine... Fresh bread selection, sweet loaf, croissant, eggs, ham, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, selection of jams, and then tea,coffee and juices...what more could you want... The pool is immaculate.. plenty of loungers, and never too busy and always peaceful The pool bar serves everything you could need... Plenty of things to do in the lounge area if you need to or whilst checking out..books, games and ping pong.. There are toilets in reception and toilets and showers by pool, which is great if you have a late flight and want to spend last day by the pool...and shower before you go... Stelios arranged our taxi back to the airport... Coco the African Grey Parrot is super cute and will entertain you during the day...

Pros: This was our second time staying at the Macedonia (we stayed the same week last year) and we’ll be back again next year! It’s a nice and friendly family-run hotel, clean throughout and a lovely pool and bar area.

Pros: Location on the island, you can easily reach in any direction. Distance to the beach 400 m on foot; beautiful beach. Excellent accommodation conditions !!!

Cons: The fact that the planes fly over the hotel and the take-off of the planes goes over the hotel, which produces a disturbing noise ... luck that starting at 23.00 until 07.00 in the morning there are no races.
