10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and the security of a gated farm. Impeccable converted stables and absolutely spotless. Well thought out layout. Everything worked as it should.
Cons: All great.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Shower tiny. Bathroom really smelly. This is a countryside setting but it’s not peaceful when someone on a sit on mower is mowing just outside until 10pm. None of the staff round and about even acknowledge that you exist! Tiny thin cupboard for a wardrobe. You have to wash up in the bathroom sink with a really dirty sponge and the sink is tiny and the bits of crumbs etc will not wash away as the bottom of the sink is flat. The stable door did not work as the bottom bolt was broken off.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast okay. More choice of fruit would be good.
Cons: Having to wash up breakfast crockery.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and clean.
Cons: Make sure you check the welcome pack for gate exit code.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely setting in the middle of nowhere so peaceful and quiet. The stable room was beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable. We got sent a text message on the day to remind us of how to find and get into the venue. There was even a cafetiere and some ground coffee in the cupboard which was a nice surprise. We would loved to have a walk around to experience the farm but unfortunately weren't there for long enough.
Cons: There wasn't any milk in the fridge which meant it limited our options for breakfast in the morning. I am sure if we had asked we would have been able to get some but as we arrived late and left early we decided not to bother.
7.5 Good
Pros: In the country, but close to Shirley / Solihull. Quiet and peaceful. Used the stable roads to go for a run. Loved the little kitchen, well stocked with cooking gear.
Cons: Patio area could have been better maintained (dead plants). Requested dietary options in advance, but had to request again on arrival, but still not right once delivered
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful. The cabin had everything you could want and more. The owner couldnt do enough for you and was lovely and welcoming . Ì will definitely stay again

Pros: The stables are great! The room had everything we needed. Having the animals on site was great as we fed the Horses and Shetland Ponies in the day. It is only a short drive to Knowle where we spent the evening too. Great value for money and check in instructions were very clear
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful little chalet on a lovely farm with beautiful horses.
Cons: Nothing really.

Cons: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the building is amazing. Worth the value of money, clean, quiet and comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located close to the city centre; quiet, well appointed with the fixture and fittings clean and of good quality. Very welcoming to walk into. There is no reception, you have codes to access the front door etc. A very comfortable stay (again). Communication with the management (Jay) instant and pleasant.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, and really comfortable. Affordable stay near to Ramada hotel where we were at a wedding. Bathroom was spotless. Comfortable bed. Room not too hot (which I’d feared), and road not at all noisy at night( which I’d also feared). The manager was also incredibly helpful and friendly when I called (before arrival).
Cons: I hadn’t realised the house was on a fairly main road, but it was remarkably quiet considering. The shower pressure could be better, it the shower itself was so clean it looked brand new. The plug sockets nearest the mirror are difficult to access behind the bed (to plug in the hairdryer, which is provided). These are just “even betters ifs” though rather than actual problems!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Comfy bed. Great shower. Cleanliness. Quiet location. Top notch facilities in the room. I rave about your accomodation to everyone. Previously I have stayed at The Mount and Patshull Park. I much prefer Holcolme!!!!
Cons: Need a hook on the back of the bathroom door, to hang a dressing gown on and I was in room 6 and banged my head several times (I am quite clumsy) because the bin in kitchen was under the sloping ceiling.
6.3 Good
Pros: The room and the layout was perfect. Very nice.
Cons: Next to a noisy main road. Next door playing loud music. Need to go out due to the noise.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good at this hotel.

Pros: Fantastic place! Super good service, lovely interior, very comfortable and clean, really great location just next to a beautiful big park. And a great restaurant to go with it :). I felt very welcome and well taken care of. Also very safe and secure. Haven't enjoyed a stay at a hotel that much for a long time.
Cons: I really can't think of anything at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Check in. Warm, friendly. Because I couldn’t stay for breakfast offered fruit and coffee to take with me. My taxi for the morning organised there and then. Shown to room, explained how jacuzzi shower worked/ which draw hair dryer in etc all little details. The room was immaculate. Spacious lots of natural light. But big thick curtains that cut out all light at night. Bed really comfortable. In the morning my packed breakfast was waiting for me which was a bag of goodies and beautiful coffee.
Cons: My stay wasn’t long enough! Didn’t get to try the restaurant! Lol
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of food. Beautiful bedrooms and amazing showers. I booked a meal for 5 in the evening and the were able to accommodate us at short notice. Excellent food.
Cons: The staff muddled the cocktail order and gave the 2 cocktails we originally considered but changed for the 2 for 1 deal. We had the wrong cocktails and were told we would only be charged for the 2 for 1 deal. We alerted the staff we had cocktails, preventing them from making the 2 for 1 deal. Unfortunately, we were charged for the two cocktails. My guest paid for the wine including a bottle of wine £20 + two cocktails. When I left on Sunday I was also charged for a bottle of wine £20. I queried the bill and was given a £20 refund.

Cons: To be honest all the great reviews about the place created some big expectations....don't get me wrong, the place is OK, but I wouldn't say it is as exceptional as some of the reviews say. Great staff, very good service, hotel itself OK.

Pros: Room was exceptionally spacious and well equipped, as was the bathroom. Both looked recently refurbished and the heating worked excellently! Breakfast was good quality (didn't eat evening meal in as there is an excellent Italian just up the orad and I love Italian food).
Cons: Corridors etc were narrow and a bit tired. Couldn't make outgoing calls from extremely sophisticated phone in room. I had to go to bar to access free Wi-Fi as my room was out of range. Had full breakfast, but would have had to pay extra £6.50 to add half a grapefruit to this, which I thought a bit steep.

Cons: No tea-making facilities in room. Pillows hard.

2.4 Mediocre
Pros: The staff did try to provide service
Cons: The room was shabby and extremely dark and cleanliness was poor. The shower didn't work. The heating only comes on for a set period in the evening so it was freezing at night.
7.6 Good
Pros: Facilities appeared very good although only slept there and did not eat or drink there due to commitments elsewhere.Security was very good particularly with the car park having gates which were closed at midnight, very comforting considering we were on the ground floor facing the car park. Also very helpful that the hotel accepts Maestro cards as well as credit cards.

Cons: Sound pollution from the aircraft as soon as they start flying. Breakfast could be a bit more premium in terms of less sweet marmalade and with real fresh juice. And organic bacon / sausage would be awesome!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely toiletries and tea making facilities. Room was always presented well and a pleasure to come back to after a busy day
Cons: Would have like a little more variety on the hot dishes for room service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable. We were checked in by a lovely lady called Ruby who was more than helpful. The bottle of fizz sent to our room was a lovely touch to help us celebrate our marriage.
Cons: More signs around the hotel would’ve helped locate different facilities especially when walking up and down the stairs where the signing was non existent.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: View over the lake
Cons: Resturant closed at 21.30 on a Thursday. There is no shuttle bus to the NEC but you can get one round the corner from the Crowne Plaza. Very long walk to room.
7.5 Good
Cons: I arrived back at my room on the last day to find a maintenance man in the bathroom fixing an allegedly leaking pipe. I had not reported any leak. He told me I would be moved to another room, but after waiting over half an hour and having no contact from anyone I went to reception. No one there seemed to know anything about a room change. I was quite annoyed about being messed around, and although the receptionist was very apologetic I felt I was being fobbed off. I was given another room and 2drink vouchers and a complimentary breakfast. I had already paid for the breakfast so there was nothing complimentary there. Perhaps a little more communication training should be initiated.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Convenient for the NEC
Cons: A bus to the Festival of Quilts
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was clean.
Cons: On the third day of my stay , the air condition broke down and the sink of the room was not draining from the first day.

Cons: Can never get hold of anyone when I phone the hotel on my mobile as I left something at the hotel and couldn’t get through to anyone

Cons: The room service was not great

Pros: We stayed at Hogarths after our wedding day, they allowed us to drop our bags early as we wouldn’t be getting there till late. When we did arrive our bag was waiting in our room along with a balloon and a lovely card from the staff. The room was incredible! As there was a few of us staying there, at breakfast the next day they lay out a table big enough for us all to sit together. Thank you again We had a wonderful stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B & B only offers a 'continental' breakfast for a small charge which is brought to the room the evening before ready for the morning. Nothing fancy but good - and having a flask of milk to use for the cereals gave us enough to use for cups of tea as well which is nicer than using the uht pots. The location is excellent for a visit to the Black Country museum which is in walking distance, as was Tipton railway station to get a train to Birmingham. Also pubs, restaurants and supermarkets very nearby for meals etc. Parking facilities are really good at the Silverdale.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owner welcoming and informative. Welcomes own food in rooms supplies plates glasses and cutlery. Has a fridge available for guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was warmly greeted on arrival by the owner Jackie and her husband, who immediately made me feel at home. The guest house is very clean and well maintained: the beds and bedding are comfortable, the bathroom is nicely finished and although the shower cubicle is a little cramped, it's perfectly adequate for a short stay. Parking at the rear is limited, but we had no issues with being boxed in the next day. There's a very nice Indian restaurant called the Murghal Massala just up the road, and although I didn't visit, the local pub en route to the Murghal Massala looked very good.
Cons: The guest house is adjacent to a main road, so there is some traffic noise; I carry ear plugs with me so this wasn't an issue. Other than that there is nothing remotely negative to say!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed is very good quality and very comfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very nice hotel
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Exceptionally clean
Cons: We arrived in a van so negotiating carpark was a bit tricky but we did ok
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and bathroom - and even lovelier owner, Jackie.
Cons: I was caught out by there being no shampoo although a liquid hand soap was provided. I tend to assume that shampoo is provided everywhere but the most basic accommodation as that's my general experience around the world.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Local themed pub for pies. Fridge for guest was excellent. Very friendly welcome. Comfy beds
Cons: No proper breakfast offered. Could hear plumbing from other rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and good facilities.
Cons: Could have done with some shower gel in the bathroom.
