10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, however beans and mushrooms could be added as an option? Beautiful room and en-suite, very comfortable bed. Friendly hosts.
Cons: Long life milk capsules - they always give tea a funny taste - YUCK!! Being told where to sit for breakfast - was a little 'Basil Fawlty-esk' !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! From the warm welcome and beautiful room, comfy big bed and spotless, modern ensuite right through to one of the best B n' B breakfasts ever. Felt like nothing was too much bother - request for fresh milk for tea very kindly resulted in one of those dinky wee bottles we used to get in school :) One of my favourite touches with the bed is having the sheet and duvet plus coverlet, meaning you can adjust as you please - too few places do this and you end up too warm or too cold, so thanks for giving me the choice!
Cons: Absolutely nothing! Amazing quality at any price and incredible value for money to boot - would be disappointed to return to the area and not get in here. Only downside was we needed the window right open due to the unusually warm weather and kept getting woken by the seagulls...in the unlikely event you visit during a heat wave, maybe invest in some earplugs ;)

Pros: The owner..
Cons: Breakfast staff...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Colin was an excellent host. He met us on arrival which was a really nice touch and then allowed us to change the timing of breakfast to a later time in the morning that suited us better. This was greatly appreciated. Very helpful with local knowledge of where to visit, restaurants, etc. The breakfast was made fresh to order which meant it was lovely and hot together with warm toast.
Cons: The ensuite facilities were not to a good standard. It was very contained and the shower itself was not securely fitted to the wall and the operation switch gave us issues. The building is of an age that no outside pipes are allowed to be shown and therefore we had a saniflow toilet system which was a little noisy.

Pros: Interesting building. I read the file in the room hoping to find out a bit about it. Perhaps a bit could be added? It felt a bit like an extra building to generate income rather than a loved building. Good breakfast and friendly staff
Cons: Room was very warm. : can’t be helped, a fan might have been nice. Mattress more towards end of its life than the beginning. I think as the room we were in was a small one, a communal sitting room type thing might be nice ... these are just things worthy of mentioning since you asked :)

Pros: Fantastic find. Susan and George are great hosts. Breakfast, accommodation excellent with the bonus of the summer house. 30 yards from beach and 100 yards from one of the best pubs on the Solway coast. Will definitely be back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My son and I had the most amazing three days here, it was truly magical. It was cold, wet and windy but we still spent our days on the beach, walking, discovering, catching crabs and shrimps. We spent our evenings in the summer house which is right by the sea, playing cards by candle light. We were made to feel so welcome and at home... we will be back for sure.

Pros: Loved the nature setting and the castle bedroom...
Cons: Breakfast was a little sparse for us late comers. The early bird gets the best of the offerings.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is set in a beautiful countryside location. Breakfast was great. We booked both the cottage and the hotel room. I found the cottage was great as a family with young children. (Close to Mabie farm)
Cons: Dinner in the hotel restaurant. The bread was good but the quality of the food was average or less. My burger looked like and taste like a frozen burger.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice restaurant, nice historic house in big grounds, beside a river. Comfortable room. Helpful staff.
Cons: The public areas could benefit from some investment in upgrading. Breakfast was not well organised (they ran out of brown bread and croissants well before the official end time for breakfast).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room & location
Cons: The room walls & ceiling need sprayed. Especially the windows as you couldn't open them due to the flying insects
