Squaw Valley Lodge - Olympic Valley - Building

8.9 Excellent (790 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Squaw Valley Lodge can be found in the Olympic Village of Lake Tahoe. This condo resort has something to offer in all four seasons of the year. The rooms in this lodge are all condominiums, so guests can stay in a comfortable setting that feels a little more like home than like a hotel. Some of the condos feature ski-in/ski-out access. There are suites with multiple bedrooms and studio suites. All of them have sofa beds in them as well. Squaw Valley Lodge has a health club for guests who want to exercise during their stay. There are also massage therapists on-site who provide spa services to guests of the lodge. Outside there are hydrotherapy pools available with views of the mountains and inside there are fireside spas. Guests also have access to a steam room, dry sauna, and entertainment items such as a ping pong table while staying at Squaw Valley. Guests have a kitchen or a kitchenette in their rooms depending on what type of room chosen. So dining can be as simple as cooking at home. If no one feels like cooking, there are plenty of options for food in Lake Tahoe that aren’t far away at all. Squaw Valley itself also has local restaurants with delicious menu options to choose from. Winter time brings the ski season and opportunity to participate in all of the snow sports. In summer there are also lots of things to do too, including hiking, golfing, kayaking, and mountain biking. Squaw Valley Lodge offers travelers to Olympic Village a home-away-from-home in Lake Tahoe. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, there is always something to do at this California gem.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Easy covered parking, fully stocked kitchenette, great location, old but clean
Cons: Pool was nice but on the cool side, only used spa. Hallways had oder but room was ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable home away from home...close to recreation and restaurants, I will definitely stay there again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the price, the accommodations - everything was great! I highly recommend.
Cons: The decor was a little dated, but it wasn't nearly as dated as some previous reviews made it seem. It was charming.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: This is a SKI lodge not a summer spot. No air conditioning or mounted fans. Have cheap stand up fans and it gets HOT daytime. Was charged twice even though I asked 4 times to check if there were 2 reservations in my name. Wasn't bad but won't go back
8.5 Excellent
Cons: Had no air conditioning. Was hot in loft room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it. The room was spacious and the furniture high quality. The kitchenette wasn't extravagant but had enough to get the job done. Fresh coffee provided every day. True ski-in/ski-out. Steps away from Squaw Village. Highly recommend.

Cons: squaw village turns into a ghost town after dark. the desk person at checkout time is rude.
The Village at Squaw Valley - Olympic Valley - Building
4
8.7 Excellent (765 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Village at Squaw Valley is one of the nicest stays the Lake Tahoe area has to offer. The area is famous for its high-quality skiing for several months out of the year, and many guests choose to make it their destination of choice because of this. However, The Village at Squaw Valley also offers treats that will appeal to those staying at this plush hotel all times of the year. Parking is free and safe, so guests can focus on relaxing in their suites that can feature up to three bedrooms. The bathrooms are luxuriously accented with heated floors to keep toes warm, particularly after a day of skiing. The living rooms are equipped with both style and functional elements like pull-out sofas. These are accompanied by full kitchens, enabling guests to prepare their own food instead of eating out if they so desire. Some rooms also feature balconies and fireplaces to add to a romantic, easy-going ambience. Outside, the flames can continue with nicely arranged fire pits that make enjoying the fresh air in the evening time easy and pleasant. There is a wellness spa and yoga studio to further help encourage relaxation. Nearby the hotel are several dining options that feature a variety of different types of cuisine, both local and inspired by other locales in the country and around the world. Some rooms are available slope-side, making the experience of skiers as seamless as possible. After a day on the slopes, The Village at Squaw Valley is a great place to kick back and tell stories with friends or loved ones.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was spacious and in an excellent location.
Cons: The parking garage is difficult to navigate but it is nice to be in a garage. The living areas were a bit warn from the recent ski season but comfortable. The rooms are a bit noisy because of the location.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location.
Cons: No.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The suite room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: The hotel seemed to be poorly maintained. During our stay, an elevator in our building developed a problem, the hot tub in our building was under renovation, and the in-room coffee maker did not work. Also, the walls were thin making the room noisy.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel, more accurately apartment house was well located, the room aesthetically pleasing but it was one of the least functional rooms I've stayed in. Finding electrical outlets was tough and while the bathroom was quite large the counterspace was tin!
Cons: The room I had reserved was sold out so I was upgraded to a small one bedroom but it was tiny, the air conditioning was a mobile unit installed in the living room which wasn't helpful. Over all the room looked nice but was one of the least functional
