Cons: Had no air conditioning. Was hot in loft room.
Cons: This is a SKI lodge not a summer spot. No air conditioning or mounted fans. Have cheap stand up fans and it gets HOT daytime. Was charged twice even though I asked 4 times to check if there were 2 reservations in my name. Wasn't bad but won't go back
Pros: Loved it. The room was spacious and the furniture high quality. The kitchenette wasn't extravagant but had enough to get the job done. Fresh coffee provided every day. True ski-in/ski-out. Steps away from Squaw Village. Highly recommend.
Pros: Easy covered parking, fully stocked kitchenette, great location, old but clean
Cons: Pool was nice but on the cool side, only used spa. Hallways had oder but room was ok.
Pros: Squaw Valley Lodge is our go to place for a winter getaway. The location is ideal and it's part of Squaw Valley so there are a ton of things to do after a day on the slopes.
Pros: The location, the price, the accommodations - everything was great! I highly recommend.
Cons: The decor was a little dated, but it wasn't nearly as dated as some previous reviews made it seem. It was charming.
Pros: A very comfortable home away from home...close to recreation and restaurants, I will definitely stay there again.
Pros: great gym and pool area.
Cons: squaw village turns into a ghost town after dark.
the desk person at checkout time is rude.
Pros: Nice room for the price. Front office staff was great. Prime location in Tahoe City. Continental breakfast was nothing special, but well stocked and adequate options.
Cons: My shower was dirty
When visiting Tahoe City, Pepper Tree Inn is a great choice to consider. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, and hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking are nearby. Bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves are offered in all rooms, along with balconies or patios and flat-screen TVs.
Pros: They gave us an upgrade to a nicer room with minimal cost increase.
Cons: Original room very dark and in need of updating and decor. One small window not at eye level. Room smelled of smoke.
Resort of desperate need of upgrading.
Granlibakken Tahoe features downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. You can visit the spa to indulge in body wraps or aromatherapy, and Cedar House Pub - Winter serves dinner. An outdoor pool and a sauna are other highlights, and rooms offer DVD players and free WiFi. Ski storage, rentals, and lessons are also available.
Pros: The location of ABVI was absolutely perfect. Right across the street from the lake, next to shopping and restaurants. Clean room and comfortable beds
Pros: Easy access to mountain, and plenty of restaurants in walking distance.
Pros: Proximity to shops and lake.
Cons: Weak breakfast
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly, all expressed genuine concern because I was limping. Great discount cards for local restaurants given at check-in, I used them at three locations. My previously dropped off hiker box was waiting for me at check in. Was very clean. Fresh fruit in the morning was a plus.
Cons: Pool not available. Needs remodeling. HATE those disposable plastic liners in the in-room coffee cups. Get real cups! Easy to get a 2nd night that was not previously reserved, but I didn't know the price would be higher until after I got home several days later.

Pros: Super clean, very helpful staff, convenient location. Beautiful Lake Tahoe was visible from my room! Older motel that has been remodeled and updated. Comfy bed. Very clean.
Cons: There wasn't any snow the first 4 days I was there - only got to ski 1 day!
Pros: I loved how close it was to all the restaurants and from our room you could see the lake and mountains! I loved the decorations in the room and the staff were amazing! So sweet and helpful!
Cons: I did not like that online it says "free continental breakfast" and it was waffles with a hard boiled egg and two cereal choices. The website is a little deceiving as it makes you think it is a very luxurious hotel...when in reality it is a hotel that hasn't been updated since the 70's except for the decor in the rooms.
Pros: No bed bugs, that I could see, but then again, maybe they require a minimum thickness of mattress to survive, or else, they were being consumed by worse lurking in the carpet.
Cons: Can't imagine how it has a "good" rating. Admittedly, it was very cheap in Feb.,... but you get what you pay for.
- I thought that the linens and towels were coordinated to the grey trim, but then realized that they were in fact once white and also that blood stains would never match any trim.
- Also originally thought that the walls had abstract art murals on them, but no, just splattered stains ( which, now that I think about it, did somewhat match the linen blood stains, so maybe I'm just not up on interior design)
- Shower had a strategically placed anti-slip covering up a hole in the floor ( which did seem to be more efficient than the actual drain)
- ice maker was turned off. Answer "It's cold, why would you need ice" The fact that only a good stiff drink was going to make habitation acceptable didn't seem to penetrate.
- Refrigerator got A for effort, based on noise, however failed to produce any cold ( maybe again part of the "it's winter")
- I didn't know they produced CFL bulbs for the lumen equivalent of the old 5 watt bulbs.
- Nor did I realize that paper could actually be used as load bearing walls.
- Carpet was an environmentalists delight, it certainly was green and organic. Might even be a source of yet undiscovered life, so I shouldn't be knocking such an effort at bio-diversity.
Pros: great location, very friendly staff. value cannot be beat!
Cons: heating was difficult to get a good balance in the room, but this is really pretty minor. i would stay here again no question.

The comfortable non-smoking rooms have vaulted ceilings, refrigerators, microwaves and coffeemakers. The Aviva is a great value in North Tahoe.
Cons: loud noise from neighbors and road. Massive door crack between frame and door let light in!!! No movies or in room phones.
