The breakfast was excellent and so nice to be served at the table. Plenty of choice for breakfast and the evening meal, which was very good. The staff are lovely, friendly and very professional. It was my Mother's birthday and she was delighted when the waiting staff presented her with a birthday cake!
I do like a bath in the bathroom but knew beforehand that it would be a shower so wasn't disappointed. I also like an opening window in the bathroom but ours didn't open. There is nothing to dislike about this hotel! We had a seaview suite and whilst it didn't bother us, it may be a little noisy from the traffic if you have the windows open as it's quite a busy road. The views more than make up for it!
Location was lovely Quiet room
We had a room facing the back with no view Parking was a particular issue - the hotel has a tiny car park to the rear which is an additional £10. We called ahead regarding the parking and were assured that there would be sufficient parking in adjoining side roads so not to worry. When we returned that night we drove around for about 10 mins trying to find a parking space. At one point we stopped outside the hotel and ran in to ask what we could do, to be told that the offsite car park was already closed and there was nothing the hotel could do. Drove around for a further 5-10 mins and by pure chance found a spot at least a 10 min walk away ! The vegetarian breakfast was particularly small. There was barely a spoonful of beans on the generous sized plate with the scarcity of little else to accompany it except a lonely veg sausage, a fried egg and a practically raw tomato. Thankfully the other breakfast was hearty enough that the toast provided supplemented the veggie breakfast! The breakfast room seemed quite chaotic and understaffed - it was futile trying to get anyone’s attention as they were too busy running around but staff were pleasant once you had their attention Reception staff could do with some of the restaurant staff pleasantries Room was nice but overpriced for what we had considering we were able to compare other rooms which were being cleaned on our way out
From arrival to departure the staff were excellent. Sea view room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The full English breakfast set us up for the whole day.
It would be nice if the room had a safe to keep keys / valuables when out of the hotel. This said, there was no problem leaving items with reception while away for the evening.
Location, cleanliness, shower room, fluffy towels
Didn’t inform us there was a large function on
The perfect hotel for us. With the option it single, twin or double rooms meant we could make it affordable for our group. Impeccably clean with sturdy furniture. The tables and chairs are very good quality to allow my Nana to push up easily and safely. Amazing ramp up to the hotel with a zebra crossing right outside meaning easy access to the sea. A lovely walk (15mins) to the pier. Great fish and chip shop nearby, The Dolphin - highly recommend. All the staff were so friendly and helpful in all locations we met them including reception, breakfast, dinner, bar, housekeeping. Thank you for creating a lovely safe and clean hotel which is accessible for all.
I cant fault anything about this hotel.
