Lovely place to stay, nicely decorated very relaxing. Good choice of breakfast, very pleasant time will be going back again.
Clean and freshly painted, lots of toiletries in bathroom, comfy bed. Breakfasts are fantastic. Hosts very knowledgable about area and always helpful and willing to give advice. Hosts work hard to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone. Slow to top up orange juice at breakfast, floor boards in room above were creaky, didnt help having 2 gorillas bounding about which is not Coach House fault. Minor, very minor fault picking really.
Good personal service and standard of rooms excellent. Easy to find and located within easy walking distance of the town centre. Parking limited.
The staff was helpful, the room was clean & homely.. Food was also brilliant.. Highly recommended
Very clean, stylish and comfortable, good food.
Friendly atmosfere.Clean.Wonderful garden. No
Friendliness of staff
The B&B Is spot on excellent clean rooms with excellent service.
breakfast was brilliant could n't get telly to work on 2nd night.
Helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast. Not having a restaurant means having to go elswhere to eat evening meals, as a business customer that's a bit of a nuisance.
Rooms were clean and modern and the breakfast was good No hot water at 6.00 in the evening. No access to the hotel when we arrived on Saturday afternoon (having been told that the earliest check in was 2.00 we were surprised to find a note on the door at 3.00 saying " back in one hour"). We found somewhere to have a hot drink at the nearby national park but had quite a lot of time to kill which was not ideal after a long journey.
Very clean bedroom & bathroom, in fact pristine. Good sized bedroom and en-suite, well laid out. Very neutral, tasteful decor. Very comfortable bed. Excellent parking facilities. Beautiful rural location. Excellent breakfast. There was nothing I disliked about the guest house. I selected the guest house for the location. I would have preferred a hotel with lunch & dinner on the premises.
informal and friendly atmosphere nothing
Very well looked after thank you - really good breakfasts!
The cottage was lovely. The under floor heating was excellent and the I really liked the decor. We normally eat out every evening but we just wanted to stay in and enjoy the cosy cottage. Location was great if you enjoy rural surroundings with the added bonus of a Tesco and Asda just a 10 mins drive way. The cottage could do with a clean lots of cobwebs.
Very pleasant owners. Excellent views over the valley. Good parking off road outside the cottage. Good walks for dog owners and walkers alike. Sat Nav says you have arrived half way up hill when the accommodation is at the top. The actual signs for the cottages are very small and could easy be missed.
Very homely and comfortable. None
Excellent accomodation, vith absolutely beautiful views.
Lovely environment. Returned for the fourth time now. The cottage (Glas) represents excellent value for money and is nice and cosy. We always enjoy lighting the log fire burner. There are walks in the local area where we exercised the dog. Richard is a lovely bloke and will go out of his way to make you feel welcome. Shower and kitchen tap were a little erratic but worked fine after leaving them on for a bit.
The owners of the cottage are excellent. Very welcoming, friendly, helpful, wonderful people. Area is quiet, green, relaxed, the house is so cozy, interior is just more than you expecting from the pictures. I enjoyed every minute of my stay and definitely would pick the same place when i go there next time.
Very warm and remote None
I would say that the bed mattresses would have to be changed they are quiet bad to be honest. It would have been perfect to have propper loggs for the fire.
room was clean and confortable, the welshcakes were a lovely touch
Excellent friendly staff and service. Tv complicated-ish to work. Could not find a thermostat for room temperature.
The room was exceptional food was excellent and all staff very polite and i will definately return some noise outside at throwing out time
Room was very nice with an excellent spacious bed Parking facilities poor
Clean, comfortable, friendly service, good quality facilities, free wifi and top of the range tv. Room too hot, at least for me, and I was not able to shut off or turn down the heating. Tv so hi-tech that the controls were invisible and after managing to turn it off I had a problem getting it running again.
Good location No paring at the hotel. But public parking just in next street
The hotels design.. loved it. The room was amazing, in fact I have now decided to change my own bedroom. Cold plates at present, not good. Hot food should always be on hot plates.
Great hotel good staff and facilities, spoilt by late night disco which went on until almost 3am
Well located in central Pontypridd. The quality of the rooms was excellent - of that generally found in high standard hotels. The duty manager was exceptionally hard working and very caring towards her customers. The only negative was the disturbance that the late night clubbers managed to create outside the hotel at 3 am on Sunday. If your room overlooked Market Street then your night would have been very difficult. The club is in the basement of the hotel, thus the hotel must make a decision - hotel or club?
The location, food, and willingness of all to help. Only thing was the parking and daily charges for parking.
It was very central for the trains and buses. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. nothing
Welcoming, warm and friendly. Breakfast was a bit bland as are many hotels these days.
good room rate. The room was vey hot and we stayed on a saturday night and it was extremly loud and noise outside due to the hotels location but this cant be helped.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel . Our room was huge and also had a sitting / TV area. It was spotlessly clean, well decorated and comfortable.breakfast was very good and so was our Saturday evening meal. They do a curry night on Friday and Saturday - excellent value , choice and taste. It was all washed down with the House red wine which was very good . Nothing amiss.
Staff very friendly Bedroom and particularly the bathroom needed some TLC
Size of the room/quality of the bed Old fashioned and a bit of refurbishment would be nice (there were holes on the bottom sheet.
handy for town and country side
Cenral location A bit dated
Close proximity to centre of town. Poor service from the hotel staff.
The whole atmosphere, nice staff, lovely food, large rooms There was a wedding on the Saturday night we were not informed about this and it was slightly noisy
Friendly & Effecient None
Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. A spacious, comfortable and warm room. Very good value food and drink. The displays of photographs of the area in the past; these add to the character and ambience of the hotel.
Friendly reception on arrival.
Clean, spacious and welcoming. Good food and plenty of parking. Only source of hot water at night time was from the shower for some reason. Sink and bath were running cold. All lights fused in the room on one occasion. Squeaky floorboards weren't a problem during the day, but when lots of people decide to trample down the corridor at about 2 in the morning it's another matter!
Rooms clean, staff friendly and helpful, and food great.what more do you want I will stay there again.
Basic but nice hotel. Friendly staff and nice food.
Friendly staff and the room was excellent!
Finding the place was a little unusual, up on a hill within a relativily new housing estate. However all my doubts were soon washed away, the staff definatley are amazing, pleasant people, nothing to much trouble, really nice and caring people, a real homely hotel. the bedrooms are clean tidy and acceptable. The evening carvery was real home food style, for a tuesday there was well over 60 guests and at the weekend I am informed it can be 300 a day, thats how good the reputation is..with quality and great value.. would stay again and recommend this hotel, a little unusual from your normal hotel chain but on a good side. Thankyou Bessemer. hope to see you again in the future. The walls are abit thin with the odd floorbood squeek, but nothing major.
Freindliness of the staff, and great atmopshere in the bar. The loud music from the club below our room until midnight.
Lovely food from the bar, great breakfast and lovely views from our room. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.
It was very expensive for all that was available.
very friendly staff, gorgeous food and will be returning NA
the bar area was very nice and evening staff were friendly. the bathroom wasn't up to a standard of cleanliness
The hotel was in a central location of the town with outstanding views of the Brecon Beacons
The view from the room windows was absolutely great. The ambience of the room was pretty good too (when the heating WAS working! We had no heating in the room on the mornng or our stay, with -11 outside it was a bit nippy!
easy access to town and interesting areas of brecon the member of staff handling breakfast appeared to be alone and therefore the meal was slow with food running out several times with quite a wait for replenishment
The garden was pleasant and well cared for, a definite asset The food was poorly prepared and the menus exaggerated the meals
Great ambiance and atmosphere, old world charm with modern amenities, a little quirky with slightly sloping floors but that added to the charm of the place. Our room was right beside a cupboard with some kind of noisy machinery inside that you could hear from our room, but despite our fears it didn't keep us awake.
Hotel was very well located. Food was very good and the general ambience of the public areas - bar and restaurant - was similarly good. I would certainly stay again, although might not go for a superior room, as it did not feel overly superior! Tatty coathangers in the wardrobe, not one of which was suitable to hang trousers
The hotel was very clean with nice décor and public areas, Tea and coffee in the room. A good price including breakfast. Nothing was explained on checking in. We were given a disabled room as that's the only twin rooms that they have. It was not suitable for us. The beds were so narrow that you nearly fell out!
On a very cold and snowy night we were warmly welcomed and immediately checked in. Our room was in a part of the hotel being refurbished so was not ensuite - however we had a bathroom very close by which we did not have to share with other guests. We were offered alternative rooms if we wished but chose to stay in the original room. The room was a bit cool but it was a very cold night. The manager turned the heating up as high as possible.
Lovely location, lovely old building, friendly & helpful staff, light airy and very clean room.
Very clean hotel, friendly and welcoming staff. Good location to explore the area. Very basic but not used to 3 star hotels! The room was decorated a little like an old lady's house might be!
The rooms were excellent, the food was good and the service was helpful and personal.
The room was very spacious & very clean. The restaurant is really lovely wirh a large selection of meals. Staff is wonderful.
The food was very well prepared, good quality and well presented. The shower would not work!! Needs a hot water pressure pump in the circuit.
Staff attitude, style of public rooms, food quality overpriced - moderate room quality, poor bathroom for the money, bed needs a new mattress
very friendly and efficent staf, good breakfast no
I stayed at The Park whilst working at the Ryder Cup meaning that I left every day before 6.00am and returned after 8.00pm in the evening. The Staff always offered a warm welcome when I returned and were very helpful in providing a packed lunch instead of Breakfast ready fro me when I left - sometimes as early as 4.30am. I have to admit that the internet -which was free - was a little slow!!
They tried to overcharge me for the last 2 days. Blamed the internet booking service and were going to do nothing. However I had a confirmation from the Hotel itself as I queried another matter. I received the refund eventually
The willingness of the staff to help us and to attend to our needs. I was unhappy with the first rom we were given, but it was changed very quickly, and with no fuss. The food was excellent - the breakfast was great and dinner was also very good. The TV in the room was a bit small, but I am nit-picking.
A very pleasant, welcoming hotel. Relaxing, comfortable with very good restaurant. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Produced a most beautiful, homemade birthday cake on request!
Food was good, Staff were good Noise - not at all relaxing. We feel you can't mix wedding receptions with your advertising as a quiet relaxing stay for other guests
The staff were very good and it was beautifully laid out and the wedding was enhanced by the ambience Cost, it was a bit pricey from the time of year.
The level of service from the polite and friendly but very professional staff was excellent. The food was also of a very high standard. The staff made a real effort to ensure that we were happy and well attended to without being overbearing. Arguably too many weddings and parties during our stay for what we wanted to be a quiet, romantic and relaxing weekend break I.E. 2 weddings, 2 large birthday parties and a golden wedding party plus 2 smaller parties (1 lunch and 1 dinner)over 2 days in what is a relatively small hotel. However the staff did their utmost to ensure that guests who wanted peace, quiet and relaxtion were also catered for and mostly succeeded !
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. No bad points at all.
The staff were all excellent and provided an absolutely outstanding service.
Friendlyness and willingness of staff to please. Nothing.
Fantastic food in restaurant and attentive, professional staff. Despite wedding party being on there was no noise in the bedroom None whatsoever
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, but respected our privacy. They got the balance just right. Nothing.
It's central location.
Nice old building kept in a good and clean condition. Friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. With a good location in the centre of Brecon.
Poor atmosphere, poor attitude, not welcoming.
The staff were polite and helpful; the food was very good and not too expensive; the rrom was warm and perfect for what I needed. The room was quite basic, no TV remote and the TV picture was very poor; these are very minor issues and overall it was fine.
we have stayed at the wellington twice this year and enjoyed both stays the staff and really friendly and it is very chilled out and relaxing we have no complaints the hotel is in the ideal location
Relaxed atmosphere No adjacent parking
This Hotel needs checking or taken off your books
the room size was excellent though would've benefited from a more thorough clean. the food at the hotel was of a good quality and very good value for money. on a whole a very relaxed atmosphere with in the hotel with a wide range of cultures and nationalalitys. the only fault would be there is no hotel parking though there are several car parks within an easy reach of the hotel.
The full english breakfast was exellent. The whole feel to the place was nice and laid back, The room was not cleaned or visted by a maid the whole time we where tthere, which was two nights. Also the rooms are a bit close together.
the staff were responsive and helpful and the setting is lovely the rooms are a little run down and they need to put more towels in bathroom
The log fires and the friendly staff. Service at Sunday breakfast was a bit absent minded.
relative closeness to Brecon The hotel's food and service was very poor. Too many items on the menu unavailable. The food itself was, seemingly, not fresh and lacked quality and not value for money. Breakfast service slow and very greasy.
The rare possibility to stay at a country house hotel at what was a budget hotel price. The restaurant is slightly expensive.
Beautiful location, right smack in the heart of Breacon Beacons- no need for car other than to get there as waterfalls, whiskey distillery and wonderful walks literally on the door step. Room was fantastic (shower five star!), staff were brilliant, roaring fires everywhere and the warm atmosphere and enthusiasm for you having a wonderful experience hits you as soon as you step over the threshold. Really special place, well recommended breakfast wasn't so inspiring but perfectly adequate, Never seen someone advertise that their coffee is made from 'finest instant granules' but then, I quite like the honesty and unpretentiousness and the setting and staff are so nice, stuffing my fat face with hashbrowns and blackpudding becomes less important
Peace & Tranquility The decoration of the rooms needs to be updated. The beds needs to be updated, more staff
The staff were very friendly & helpful. We had travelled to Wales for a family funeral & the staff went out of their way to accomodate seven family members who wated to join us for our evening meal. The bathroom was a little dated & there were damp patches on the wall
Nice location and character of building The signs from Hirwan were not as big as from the other way and were difficult to see at night so keep your eyes peeled!
nice homely atmosphere staff were a little slow and sometimes nowhere to be seen
No comment The confusion of whether a payment had been made during boooking or when booking out, was a bit disconcerting. I had no idea that I had booked a "Luxury room" it was far from that! The breakfast was excellent, but based on other hotels that I have used (Morgans), I thought it was expensive and very gloomy and old fashioned.
clean, friendly and very welcoming. The english breakfast was lovely. The television didnt work.
Comfortable room , able to take well behavied dog, suitabllity to tour area.
Pool and sauna. Buffet breakfast Poor selection of Beer. Beer Expensive. Poor lounge facilities.
Our room was right next to a generator or motor of some kind and was very very noisy during the night. I told the hotel staff and they knew but they didn't give us a reduction in room price or anything. Very disappointing for the price.
good food fusty smell in corridors & room
Area in "pub" for relaxing and reading. Food was fine.
The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable.Loved the 'Loft' where breakfast was served. Minor points: Filling in the cracks in the bedrooms and ensuring the towels don't still have mascara residue on them. Other that that only that it just wasn't long enough!
Good breakfast, good range of leisure club facilities, very pleasant staff Nothing specific, just felt it needed some tlc and some cosmetic touches... there were letters missing from the sign, decor in the corridors needed touching up.
Rooms were modern, clean and seems to have been recently refurbished Public areas and hallways seems in need of an update. No bar staff at times to serve drinks
Friendly Staff. Public areas are tired.
The helpful staff and the ambience
We only stayed for one night but we are now planning to return in order to explore Usk and the surrounds: a very comfortable hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The 'Full Welsh Breakfast' was a dream of a meal! Not to be published. Our room in the Coach House was very cold - at least some sort of trickle heating and some double glazing needed. I think too that guests should be at least warned when booking that they may be housed away from the main hotel.
I liked the town of Usk. Hotel had a nostalgic atmosphere.
The food and excellent service
friendly staff , ambiance
affordable luxury, made to feel special
The staff were all very friendly The bathroom was very poor and the bedroom furiture was cheap and mismatched
Location and Staff Price seemed to be a bit on the high side for waht it was.
Nice Breakfast- helpful staff
It was pretty much as expected, a traditional market town hotel. No, it was all OK
The atmosphere of staying in a luxurious private house, with gourmet food to match and unobtrusive but attentive staff.
Equisite feel of a country house
Loved the relxed country house style, like staying in someone else's home. A very peaceful stay. Staff welcoming and friendly. Would have preferred the dinner menu to have changed more frequently. The quality of food was good but the lack of variety may be a problem for stays of more than a few days.
unobtrusive style and comfort- the pictures- the setting and the food
the polite and really helpful staff and size of the bedrooms and beutiful set out gardens
From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. Without exception the staff were delightful, it is difficult to fault it for the price. Also for the price the food was very good indeed. All in all very comfortable and relaxing. The car park which is outside the entrance to the Hotel was a sea of muddy water which made an awful mess on the inside of our car on departure. For a hotel of this standard it should be a solid surface. It would also benefit from some lighting. The location map on the agencies website is incorrect, it shows Llangoed hall on the A470 South of Brecon just before the Village of Lebanus.
The seting of the Hall was wonderful and the food was excellent. We did find the hotel quite warm but do understand the need to keep temperature at a certain level
Great value for money for the six person cottage, excellent breakfast, and truly lovely staff. We couldn't get breakfast on the Saturday morning as it wasn't served until 8am and we needed to be out for the day earlier than that.
Friendly atmosphere. excellent accomodation.
The quality and furnishing of the accommodation was very superior. We were made very welcome by all the staff. The continental breaksfast was the best we've ever had. Nothing.
Very clean hotel/rooms. very friendly staff fantastic service and a great comprehensive breakfast. None
Absolutely superb place to stay. Pristine cleanliness. Food - scrumptious. The staff were wonderful - very friendly and helpful.
the surrounding area, clean rooms, good selection for breakfast noisy room, you can hear the breakfast room
Was made very welcome, an excellent location and very friendly service. The accomodation was of a very high standard.
We stayed in one of the self contained cottages. It was very warm and comfortable with plenty of space downstairs for family games or watching tv. Views were wonderful and it was very convenient for lovely countryside.Inclusion of breakfast was a lovely bonus
Very lovely, big house. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
The very friendly staff, the breakfast (best selection I have seen outside of some luxury hotels), the general ambience, the peace and tranquillity. I was only there for one night so was unfortunately unable to explore the lovely garden and beautiful countryside around the hotel. I was rather dismayed to find nobody on duty at the hotel on my arrival, and there was already a group of about five people waiting to register. A phone call soon brought a member of staff, but I'm not sure what we could have done without a mobile phone, and anyway they don't all work everywhere. I had booked a single ground floor room, but it was occupied and I was given a first floor double room. There was no additional charge and the stairs were manageable, so no real problem there.
