The food was great , and the hot water was good No Ac , didn't work well at all . The tub drain was very slow I stood in water while I showered . Beds were a bit to lumpy , hard. Didn't sleep well in the room at all , to warm 73 % .
It has a grand entrance/lobby and overall is a nice hotel. The bed was super comfy, the garage was well lit and felt safe, and the view was amazing (9th floor with city/water view). Bathroom was nothing spectacular, but felt clean. There was old gum on the carpet in front of the bathroom door and next to the bed, ew. The pool area was super depressing, didn't use it once because of that (stayed 5 nights), needs a complete remodel. There's an additional charge for parking and WI-FI.
The experience was invisible, just the way I like it. I didn't have to "deal with" anything. Everything was taken care of. Breakfast buffet was a little bit of a rip-off. After saying "yes" to coffee, anything ordered other than the buffet seemed not worth it. Buffet items listed on the menu were not available once you commit to the buffet (smoked salmon, bacon).
I want to commend Gary, one of the van drivers for helping me with directions, he seemed to know what I needed before I did. Thoughful and considerate

Room was comfortable. Being charged for parking at the hotel's own parking lot. A not so subtle tactic for padding charges for the room. Reminds me of the tactics of cellular companies that dream up an assortment of additional charges to the stated price of service.
The stay could be overall satisfactory. I love the location and the hotel looks great! A lady wakes me up early in the morning, while clearly I turned the do not disturb key on. And by 9 am it was impossible to continue to sleep because someboddy was shouting loudly spanish songs while cleaning the room next door. These are what ruined the stay for me.
The location is good, the parking garage facility , comfort, was good We went at 11.30 pm and the receptionist response is okie not impressive and there is micro oven in the room. the carpet looks old in the room.

It was noisy. Rolling cleaners and guest luggage in the hallways. Our key did not work and the engineer had to come. he was nice.
Staff were super helpful and courteous. Price was way less than half of what it would have cost us in NYC. Train to NYC was 45 minutes and hotel has free shuttle to train station. Bathroom door was very squeaky but they fixed it quickly and were genuinely concerned with guest comfort. Sound proofing between rooms not super great but still overall very good experience.
The location, awesome bed and bedding, and my favorite the awesome water pressure in the shower!! The space is wide open and was confusing as I entered. The front desk to the right was matter of fact looking kind of none descript. Felt like I was at an airline check-in counter than a high quality hotel and conference center. The back revolving door leading to the parking garage was not high quality and the rug was filthy. The ground in the garage was filthy and there was conference room props, tables, etc in the car garage that made the place feel dirty! The fake would flooring on the bedroom was noted but the room was clean. The TV menu selection screen was awful!

It was a decently priced room close to the city, the hotel looked really fancy. The whole experience was weird, you have to pay to park in a parking garage that's attached to two hotels, the lobby is huge and inconvenient. One of the staff was really rude to my wife when she asked for some silverware, and for some strange reason they held an additional $30 for an accommodation fee which we were never told about. It's not a really big deal but the room didn't have a fridge which was a little annoying.
better mattress and pillows than i have had at marriott and hampton as of late. Hotel is under construction and has no bar or restaurant as indicated. the room only had sheers not room darkening curtins, not a huge problem as i was faced across a roof. they told you to pay at a machine the $10 for parking garage but it opened without showing the reciept. bathroom was beat up but functional

Party Central. Music playing all night. Apparently unsupervised children in the room next to me, while the parents hit the bars. The room itself was average, sort of a mix of honeymoon suite and no-tell motel vibe. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim, and the shower (sized for two, no tub, low water pressure) had an awkward layout. The website makes no mention of fact that parking is available or how to access it. By the time I got to the desk and learned that there was parking, I had already paid to do so at the public garage next door. When I turned in my key, the desk clerk ask how my stay was. "Fair". "Oh, that's great!"

Cozy stay. Close to lots of restaurants, bars, shops. The breakfast wasn't so great. I really dislike fake eggs.
They were friendly the rooms were clean and we weren't bothered all weekend They had one small elevator for the entire hotel and it was unbearably slow. Then if you went to take the stairs they were filthy.
Staff was very friendly and let us do a late checkout. There was barely any parking for the hotel. Caused a big inconvenience because parking is limited. Wish we knew that before we got there.

Hotel Zero Degrees has a great location, helpful, friendly, and professional staff, deliciois breakfast, and clean, modern rooms. It seems to be a well cared for, updated building with nice decor. As others have mentioned, the walls here are quite thin. Staying here on Valentine's Day presented a symphony of noise through the walls on all sides. Also, like many hotels, the heat/AC left me bone dry by morning.
Atrium is a nice look and close to highway I can understand a valet parking fee, although excessive at $25, but a $12 park yourself fee at a hotel not in a downtown area with a huge parking lot is not nice.

No flexibility for later check-out.
Professional and friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed! Overall hotel is magnificent. Free coffee and tea is served next to elevators in every morning. We've also enjoyed pool and spa. Free breakfast would be nice.

This hotel does a nice job with a very tired building. Great lobby, beds are comfortable. Staff is very helpful and friendly The building is a bit long in the tooth. Peeling wall paper in the hallways, floors that are not level, etc, etc.

The area is beautiful, the hotel is massive and very clean. I didn't stay long enough. Checked in at 1am, checked out 10am the next morning.
I like that it was tucked away from the highway and from any busy streets. The ambiance was very professional; very nice decor; generous sized rooms and very bright lights in the bathroom. Would have been nice to have free wifi.
The user interface for getting connected to the WiFi was the worst i have experienced compared to the many other hotels at which I've stayed. I walked my device down to the front desk twice to get help where the gentlemen who attempted to help were unsuccessful. I don't know if the server was experiencing because eventually (an hour later) the connection was made, but i needed the connection quickly. I needed to resort to using the computers in the lobby.

I thought this was a beautiful property. ..but little did I know it gaf bed bugs! I started to notice bites maybe 2 days after I left there. I cant prove I got them there but come on.... coincidence? Hmmmmm. Oh and when u called the front office manager she rushed me off the phone. Smh.

Nice property situated near Stamford Town Center mall. Lots of local night spots, close to the train and I95. Convenient for work locally, going to the city or even a Yankees game.
Had a bad experience with hotel from the very beginning. Waited an hour to be picked up at the train station. If it had been earlier and if I had known my way around, I would have walked it. The room looked very comfortable and beautiful. However, the sheets were stained and towels were old looking. The neighbors across the way were noisy. The icing on the cake was the bed bug; not 'bedbug' just a regular bug on the bed. Not a roach either. Not sure what kind of bug.
The room was small and had a stale odor. I was disgusted with the bathroom because of the stain and hair on the floor. It was also ridiculous to pay so much for your stay and still have to pay for parking.

I have stayed at this Marriott many times before and always find the staff to be very friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable. We ate at Northern Lights and the waitress was delightful and the food delicious. I love the shuttle service to the train station as well.
I stayed at th Stamford Marriott with some friends for a short getaway. We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we had a beautiful newly renovated room with a huge flat screen TV. We had the option to have a spa treatment or take a yoga class both on the property. This property is also in a great location, 2 blocks from the train to go to NYC, lots of restaurants, night life and shopping within minutes of the hotel. The only issue that I had was my internet in the room was a bit slow. Overall, I would recommend the Stamford Marriott.
The room was spacious, with a very comfortable king bed. Housekeeping did a great job, and the front desk staff were very nice. Having a full breakfast available was a definite plus! I'd be happy to stay here again when my travels bring me to NYC due to the proximity of the train station. We were disappointed that the courtesy shuttle to the train station didn't run on weekends; our choices were walking to the station in the rain (which is what we did) or paying for a taxi. The hotel is going through some renovations, which were poorly timed: painters on the main floor on a Sunday morning impeded our access to the breakfast area and made the restrooms unusable. There was also an issue with overcharging us for a room which we has already paid for in full using Booking.com. This was recitifed, but I'd think twice before booking through a third party other than AAA again.

The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast had many nice choices, especially the fresh fruit and the amazing, high-quality coffee--unexpected in a hotel. Like a good restaurant. But could never get the Internet connection to work, which was difficult for us, since we needed to do some important online transactions. There was a problem with the "certificate" and security level.
I was very pleased with the customer service of the hotel. Staff was very friendly as well as very helpful. The price of the stay was very good for the hotel and breakfast was included. I will definetly recommend this very nice hotel.. Mattresses are not that comfortable.
I didn't like being lied to. I may never stay here ever. I confirmed, 3 days prior and 24 hrs prior to arrival. At check in, told suite is unavailable. Then asking for different suite being lied to about actually not a suite but reg. Rm., then said they would check other hotels...b.s. On my own had to find alternative location. Location was questionable
The hallway my room was on smelled like complete throw up and had a horrible odor until later on in the night. Understandably, it was new years day when I came but the hall should of been sprayed or contained the smell. That is the only negative thing I have to say about my stay.
Nothing Parking was supposed to be free when I booked and I was charged for parking when I arrived. Our first room smelled of BO. We were moved to an alternative room, which was fine.
The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Proximity to the mall and restaurants is nice. I'd prefer free parking, but who wouldn't?

What makes a great hotel: Amenities, service, cleanliness, location, staff. We had the pleasure of staying four nights in early May 2009, The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The shuttle took us to and from the train station each day and we never waited more than five minutes for the pickup (in a Porsch Cayenne no less). Our only disappointment was we didn''t get a ride in the hotel Mini Cooper. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The hotel rooms were quiet and in four nights we did not hear a sound outside our room. The train ride into New York City is about an hour and very convenient to the hotel. The shuttle trips were always pleasant with the driver offering good info about the city of Stamford, which is very impressive. You can find less expensive hotels and even more expensive hotels but you will not find a hotel where you are made to feel your presence is important and deserves attentive service. We loved the Courtyard and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy New York City without paying New York City prices.
The location is a very short walk from the Palace Theater which is the venue we were in town to visit. The swimming pool is very small and shallow.

The hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff was very nice and the location was great. Everything was very good except our room was right next to the elevator and think something with the elevator kept knocking or rattling. Made it hard to fall asleep but didn't keep us awake.
Internet was fast and free. The included breakfast was simple and nice. They did not have trolly to carry our suite cases. We had to carry them our self. The money seemed more than what the hotel deserve.
Clean The front desk staff who checked us in was wearing headphones all the time while talking to us and was not very helpful with our request with wine opener, she was saying no but eventually the security guy said yes the hotel has it.
Check-in and check-out were very fast and the staff was extremely friendly. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and was definitely a good value. The diner attached to the hotel was also good for an inexpensive but good dinner. The pool was very clean and I had it all to myself.

Check in and check out was easy and the location was convenient It was not cleaned before we got there. Maybe spot checked for "amenities" like toilet paper, but there was used soap in the shower from a previous guest.
Nothing to like. Lady at the front desk was the only thing that I could compliment. She was very understanding of our frustration. She was very professional and took responsibility. Rooms were dirty. Pubic hairs and semen residue on bed and furniture. No WiFi, no cable channels.

At $60 a night you should not expect much and this place does not disappoint. The room was clean, no bugs, and they had hot water. Had a decent TV, fridge, microwave and good water pressure. Built in Peruvian restaurant was not bad. Literally right off of I-95. Doors and wall were made out of paper mâché. You heard every car speeding by. People walking outside of the door sounded like they were in bed with you. Bullet proof glass that served as lobby front desk did little to inspire confidence that you were not going to end up on the nightly news. If possible, toilet paper may have been thicker than the towels.

The woman at the front desk was lazy and uncooperative. We had to search for coffee cups and knives for the breakfast while she did nothing to help. She was even unwilling to issue us a receipt when we checked out. Location is right next to the interstate and road noise is significant. Hallways smell like urine.
Cheap and right off the highway. It looks horrible from the outside, but the room was actually quite clean and comfortable. Free Parking. Super sketchy. I would not stay here again. Not worth saving a few bucks. Someone smashed in two glass doors near the office about an hour after I checked in.
Price Tv channels were minimal. Room didn't get cleaned the second day.
I stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is going through some renovations, I think, but it wasn't too bad. It's right next to 95, so that's good. The room was fine; it was already renovated - accent wall, undermounted sink, tiling, and new bathtub and shower head. The bed was comfortable enough. I never went to breakfast, so I'm not sure what all they had down there. It's pretty close to downtown Stamford, so that's a plus. The staff was kind. Honestly, the lobby had a really foul odor... I'm not sure how to explain it, so it made me nervous when I did have to go to my room, but it was only in the lobby. Also, vending machine sodas are $2, and the selection was lacking, so I would suggest picking up snacks and drinks elsewhere.
I'm still alive. Facilities were run down and in need of repairs throughout. Door to room did not close tight and daylight could be seen around the edge. Room was musty smelling and fixtures and outlets were in need of repair. Cleanliness of the bath and sink were questionable. Breakfast was sparse and low quality in its offerings. Will never go back.
The staff was efficient and responsive to request for a 3:30am wake-up call. The front desk person was surprisingly gruff but efficient. At check out time, a different front desk person was more amiable and just as efficient.
Less expensive than nearby hotels. The outdoor stairs were slippery. I had a big fall (like a cartoon slip on a banana peel) at the top of the stairs. Thank goodness I'm young and healthy and recovered fine. An older person would have definitely injured herself!

The price was low, and they didn't give me a hassle about an extended checkout. There was plenty of parking behind the hotel. It's right on I-95, so it's a convenient location. The front desk staff was standing around bickering with each other while a line of people were waiting to check in. I found long black hairs in my bed and my towels. I don't think the top cover on the beds had been washed in a long time, there were crusty stains on it. Gross!

The rooms were beautiful, updated and huge. The bathroom was wonderful aswell.The staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The front desk staff seemed to be a bit incompident with hotel details such as hours of the spa and restaurant and how the computer system worked. It seemed like there were a lot of 'new' people on staff.

This is a great hotel if you want splendid service and excellent accommodations. It is a bit on the sleepy side--there's no bar owned by the hotel with a lot of activity. But you can have a quiet drink in the lobby restaurant.
Sometimes my wife is right on the money. NYC congestion I can live without. I stay here I save half my money and get 2x the service...This hotel is brand spanking new...like walking onto an elegant Starship...USS Comfort...we came to nyc, felt relieved at the end iof the day....the Malls are right next door!

proximity to Greenwich My room was not ready in late afternoon when I arrived to check in. I had to wait in the lobby. The 'continental breakfast' is not more than coffee, dry cereal, and a dry roll. I was very disappointed.
The toilet was AMAZING! I also enjoyed the staff, very friendly and made me feel welcomed. The bar was also a nice touch. The free shuttle was also a plus, I will be staying their again in the near future. I loved everything!
the staff were very helpful and gave more than was asked for, they went above and beyond. The location was perfect for me, easy on/off 95 and I had to travel north in the morning (against traffic) and south in the evening (also against traffic) a little instruction on where to find things would be great, such as the buttons needed to work the lights and shades
I received a patio room, which is much nicer (and quieter) than the 'motel' courtyard room, which should be avoided at all costs. This was the first room I recieved with a bath and a separate shower. This was my 3rd trip to this property. On each visit, one of the evenings I ate at the hotel restaurant. The quality of the meals has not been as expected, nor commensurate with the price. Minor nit, housekeeping did not replace toiletries during my stay.

It was very updated- tech savvy. The staff went out of their way. We arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant closed and they put our food orders in immediately and brought dinner to our rooms (10:30 at night). A great experience. Not at all.

Cool, very chic place with lots of gadgets in room. Need a user guide to figure out the toilet. Good outdoor pool. Free wifi. I booked a king, the staff lied at my checkin which is unacceptable, ended with what they said was two Queens, they were tiny twins. Restaurant way overpriced.
Small, comfortable with a nice restaurant/bar. Friendly staff. Other nearby alternative (Hyatt Regency) is a 'big' hotel. This was our third time here and we like it. Only negative: a little TOO modern. Toilet opens when you step in the shower. No hooks in bathroom (maybe one). Wife had to turn waste can upside down in shower to shave legs.

We stayed for only one evening but we were quite pleased. The hotel is lovely and located on the harbor with gorgeous views. It is also conveniently close to the train station which we took to and from Manhattan. The shops of Greenwich are also within walking distance and this provides a nice option. The shops are upscale and unique. I would recommend this hotel for a romantic weekend getaway. Champagne is provided upon arrival and there was a continental breakfast provided. The staff was kind and not intrusive. Awesome place! You won't be disappointed. No pool and nothing for kids to do.

Location was ideal for our travel. Only 75 minutes from home. Conceige was ill informed. Couldn't give us any information on the area or other golf courses in the area. Hotel should have a small store to be able to purchase toiletries, ice cream, soda, water, etc. also housekeeping didn't provide shampoo or wash cloths.
We were having an affair at the hotel and our team headed by Rosaria Costa could not have been nicer more efficient. We had also had our daughter's wedding here a few years ago. I would highly recommend Ms. Rooms were not ready when they were supposed to be ready to check in. even though we told the front desk we were having an affair at 6:00. The 4:00 check in time was not honored.
