Overview

Ebbw Vale grew up around steel and coal, and the South Wales Valleys still wear that history proudly in their terraced hillsides and chapel towns. The Ebbw Vale hotel stands right in the middle of it on Bridge Street, a friendly 37 room base with free parking and a kitchen the locals rate as much as the guests do. The contemporary bedrooms are simple and comfortable, and the breakfast is the kind that sets you up for a day outdoors. That matters here, because the edge of the Brecon Beacons, now also known as Bannau Brycheiniog, is close, and so are some of the best trails in the country. Riders head for Bike Park Wales and the local BMX routes, while Festival Park and Parc Bryn Bach offer gentler ground. Direct trains run to Cardiff and Newport when the city calls. Book your stay at the Best Western Ebbw Vale and let the valleys show you their rugged side.
