Pros: The room was very nice, with a clean bathroom. The view was just perfect overlooking the colosseum. It's next door to the train station, and a 5 minutes walk from the colosseum. The hotel staff was very kind. They brought us a shisha in a private salon on the second floor away from the man only gathering going on in the central area. Overall, besides the restaurent, the hotel was very good.
Cons: We paid more than what was advertised everywhere in the hotel. We paid high season price in low season. We went to the restaurent for lunch, 10 minutes after we arrived, a big group of 30 people arrived. We ordered our food right away, but never got served. I had to change my order 4 times as they didn't have what I had ordered. The group were served soup, bread, entrees and grilled fish as we were still waiting for our food. After 40 minutes, we still had not received food or even water...We just left and went to a restaurent nearby where we were served in 2 minutes, and paid 5 times less.
Pros: Very good staff. Beautiful room. Nice decor.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better. No water.
Pros: Inexplicable view to amphitheater, hugging distance from the window. Staff was exceptional, eager to help you out. We ordered sea food for dinner upon recommendation from by the staff. Mouthwatering experience it was. Now come to location, everything is at walking distance be in museum, amphitheater, railway/bus station, market.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
Pros: - The location was really good, just a short walk to the amphiteatre, near the train station (if the train actually comes, mine didn't came at all), if you go by the big bus line, they stop almost in front of the hotel. - The room is really nice, spacious and a nice bathroom.
Cons: - The restaurant waiting times, I ordered an ojja with merguez than one hour later, the waiter tells me they are ran out of merguez sausages ... and if I want it with sea food instead or something else, so this tells me that the kitchen staff is really understaffed, they were at the moment only 8-10 people who ordered. - The ground floor / Rez de chaussée is filled with Tunisian men (locals) who smokes here, smokes shisha, until 22h30 / 10.30 pm there is a lot of noise, as the rooms are in the 1st floor or the 2nd floor and they all in the main hall. I have been traveling to all the continents in the world, but this is the first time I have seen this in an hotel. People smoking inside a hotel. - It's a small remark, in my room, I thought, let's take a bath, but to close the drainer, it didn't had at all, so not able to take a bath. -The breakfast when I arrived at 9h30, there was hardly breakfast left. Plus they didn't want to make an omelette. So for people who wants to have an omelette or something that the cook/kitchen staff wants to bake/cook, it seems adviced to be there in time.
Pros: Amazing location, 5 min walk to Colosseum and we had a view of it from the window. Nice room, good staff.
Cons: No English breakfast tea! We had some noise from the men all drinking coffee in the reception area.
Pros: A truly gorgeous place to stay. Everything was amazing!
