It’s really socializing here, and can meet lots of people here, I like it a lot. Also, the employees here are really friendly, they will fulfill your needs as possible as they can, and I really appreciate it.
There are too many weird stuff on the shelf of the shower room, and I don’t really have space to put my own clothes.
The free booze for 3 hours
Great facilities overall, amazing atmosphere in the evenings, great people, travelers sit together drinking and socializing in the hostel thanks to the 7-10 pm free rum coke thing! Really great experience! The staff is super friendly and helpful plus professional. This hostel is highly recommended. The hostel also has a private special tour to meet huge turtles on shallow water, it was a really good tour, I really recommend it. They take you to places without any tourists and it is such a great experience.
Not much space in dorm rooms to put your stuff, kinda tight. Breakfast is very very simple. Could be a little more nicer.
Avoid this place at all costs. We booked to stay in a private room and instead of the nice night off from a dorm my girlfriend and I craved, it was disgusting. Coackroaches everywhere and the airconditioning system had broken. Their response was to give us 4 blankets each, say there's nothing they could do and leave us to it. In the morning when we had both come down with colds due to the conditions, they point blank said they couldn't do anything and wouldn't discuss it with me. In addition, they advised that the private room they promised to move us to had been sold. I spoke with various people at the hostel who relayed various messages to Big Paul but when I asked for either a refund or a face to face chat he said no. We then stayed in a dorm which despite our experience we were told we would pay full price for. I never want to condemn a hostel but their attitude has been disgusting and Paul clearly doesn't know how to run a good hostel. We asked the staff whether they would have been happy with this experience if they went on holiday and they all said no. To add insult to injury, when we were trying to discuss the issue, Venus said 'the next person that used the room didn't have an issue implying we were lying. As for the cockroaches, reception advised that was our fault as we left the door open for a few minutes at a time as we got breakfast. This confirms the fear everyone in the hostel had that there were cockroaches EVERYWHERE. So poorly run from top to bottom and outside guests are allowed to come in and drink the alcohol you oay for when you stay here. It's a shame as a couple of the girls and the guy on the bar are lovely but overall a rubbish hostel. Save your money!
The staff was very very friendly! The free rum coke in the evening makes it very easy to meet people so it is very good for solo travellers. The hostel organizes tours, ferry transport to coron and the staff helps you with everything. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a very social Hostel!
The breakfast could be more, for the price of the hostel they could give you at least 2 fried eggs and not charge you 20 pes for every extra egg. The location is 30 min walk from town, tricycle is about 100 pesos. It is a party hostel so it can be loud at night, but at 11 moste people go on to the city center.
