Pros: Very friendly host. Great pool.
Cons: It was a day of record high temperatures so it would have been nice to have access to chilled water.
Pros: Everything is wonderful in this corner of paradise. Madame and monsieur are very nice persons. Peaceful and relaxing
Pros: Super friendly owners, very welcoming and great dinners!
Pros: Location, it has some charm.
Cons: Hosts are extremely oppressive, supervising everything you do, judging you, and instructing you to do or not to do specific things all the time. When our two-day stay progressed and relationship started to get sour, they took away items from our room, and as we later learnt, opened and browsed through our luggage, and took pictures of the contents. Also, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired (as attested by the picture).
Pros: The breakfast was very good. The grounds of the hotel are very restful - we enjoyed eating our evening meal by the swimming pool.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike!
Pros: First and foremost - the people who work there! Everyone is nice, smiling and helpful- they went over and beyond to help us with everything- thank you!
Cons: Nothing to dislike, everything was lovely!
Pros: The hostess and the breakfast was wonderful - freshly made apricot jam. All gorgeous
Cons: Only sorry couldn't stay longer
Pros: Lovely place, beautiful surroundings and a very warm welcome by the host. Comfortable and spacious room.
Pros: Absolutely everything! The owners Stephane and Magali are just wonderful hosts. Magali was born to be in this industry. She has such a wonderful bubbly personality and her attention to detail on point. From the time we arrived until we checked out she treated us like family. The meals she prepared were beautifully presented with love and care. Wonderfully cooked. All homemade goods and farm to table style. Very graciously accepted a late dinner request. The grounds are so neat and so much love and attention given by Stephane.
Cons: That we did not have a longer stay booked!! Two nights way too short.
Pros: Extremely welcoming - went out of the way to be helpful.
Cons: Directions to the hotel need to be a little clearer - had to stop and ask.

Pros: Katherine the hostess was lovely and her cooking was superb, especially the lovely chocolate cake. The room was quaint but we'll equipped with everything needed.
Pros: The owner Catherine was very nice and welcoming. She offered a beautiful homemade breakfast (fresh chocolate cake, homemade jams, fresh bread etc). She took our pastry order when we checked in which we really appreciated. Also the extra coffee/water/sweets free for us w as a really nice touch! the bed was very confortable. Gorgeous house/garden with a lot of charm!
Pros: Catherine was the perfect host and her cooking was superb. She helped us find the trains to Paris and Chartres and this made our trips less stressful. The accommodation was just what we needed and all very relaxing.
Pros: The hostess was very welcoming and charming. All facilities in room and good home cooked 3 course dinner at reasonable price with wine. Dinner was around kitchen table with other guests - for us a lovely family from close to Bristol.... :-) Property was charming and comfortable. The owner really thought of everything - and great location close to Paris but able to easily take dogs for work in countryside....
Cons: The fact nothing sprang to mind easily demonstrates how good this was....
Pros: Wonderful host; a welcome aperitif when arriving, a fabulous evening meal(best meal of our two week holiday) and wine, plenty of choice for breakfast. A lovely and relaxing 2 night break. Highly recommended
Pros: It was trip with my family for my 10th wedding anniversary, I was very happy to stay here as at home, especially my two kids really loved. Had wonderfull time at the small beutiful garden. Thanks you.
Pros: The hostess. Warm and open personality. And the option to join her kitchen is a lifetime experience
Pros: Catherine was lovely, great tradition French cooking, we enjoyed our stay, although it was for only 1 night, Quiet peaceful location before our long journey home.
Cons: We liked everything
Pros: What a gem of a place. My room was beautiful, clean and the host Catherine was amazing. I arrived late after a very long drive from Northern England but even though it was 10.30pm she cooked me an amazing meal, nothing seemed an issue for her. Breakfast was delicious with croissants, ham etc. As I was here for business wifi had to be good and it was. Her kitchen is very quaint, rustic and homely, a very nice place to sit and enjoy her wonderful cooking and glass or two of wine.
9.2 Excellent (554 reviews)
The villa of 105m2 can accommodate up to 6 people. It is composed on the ground floor of an entrance, a kitchen entirely done up opened on living room with wood stove dining room, a toilet and cellar. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are equipped with bedding 160 * 200 and 1 equipped with two beds of 90 * 200, a toilet and a bathroom with bath and shower. It is located on the commune of Emancé 78125, in a clearing of the forest. The view allows to admire the park of the castle of Montlieu where the animals live. On-site parking is free. Gazeran SNCF railway station, located at 2 kms, allows to connect Versailles in 20 minutes, Paris in 39 minutes and Chartres in 35 minutes.
Pros: This is a great place to stay for 1 or 2 nights on the way back to the airport from another regions of France.
Cons: There is no restaurant in Château.
Pros: Everything was perfect except wifi connection... I hope they will try to make it run normally asap.
Cons: Poor wifi
Pros: On the one rainy day we had it was an excellent choice to have a lazy day
Pros: This is great location just 40min outside of Paris, even you can get there by RER. A quiet, luxurious place to relax from the chaos of Paris. We celebrated our sons 36th BD there and had a pic-nique among the animals and trees. Each Villa apartment has a beautiful backyard to the forest and the roaming animals. The spa is private so you can swim a la nature' and be only looked at by the deer across. Did not try the spa services bit the reflexology looked enticing. Definitely a favorite spot to decompress.
Cons: More choice in silverware and dishes, but owner told us that will be done soon.
Pros: Property was very clean and the beds were very comfortable and located in a very quiet area. The train in Gazeran 5 minutes away is convenient for Versailles and Paris if you do not wish to drive. There is a small animal farm in the field next door to the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Thé photos on the property page are a bit misleading as these self catering houses have no connection to the chateau next door. The swimming pool was not working when we were there and there is nothing else to do in the area in the evening so we returned late each evening only to sleep there. These are self catering houses however the closest supermarket is in Rambouillet so you need to make sure you have food with you. There is no evening activity in the villages.
Pros: An amazing 3 bed villa in a great location. Clean and well decorated. Very tranquil and lovely to be so close to the deer and other animals. Staff friendly and helpful. We used this as a base to travel around a bit and was perfect for us 10 mins drive from Supermarket and restaurants Would not hesitate to come back
Cons: No aircon in villa
Pros: we just loved the time in the forest. Wonderful Welcome. warm and comfortable... beautiful area. the position.... t h e animals.... the well appointed kitchen the beds
Cons: that we couldn't stay longer!
Pros: The spa Breakfast
Pros: comfortable beds, spacious
Cons: Closed reception after 8pm and hard pillows
Pros: We were welcomed warmly by Carlos (hope i didn't mix up the name...). We liked the calmness of the place and the animals in the back, as well as the cleanliness. Nice rooms and the bathroom.
Cons: Although the place is beautiful and to a high standard, it seemed a bit empty and cold. There is no space in the living room for a family of four to just sit down and chill. Leaving only two sachets of coffee and two tea bags is just tight, it gives a less friendly feel.
In the heart of Maintenon, Aux Charmes de Maintenon is within a 5-minute drive of Chateau de Maintenon and Bois Richeux Medieval Garden. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: The property is well located for visiting the beautiful chateau. We had a very warm welcome and there is convenient, secure parking. Our room was spacious but the bathroom, although spotlessly clean, was very compact. The bathroom if our travelling companions, next door to ours, was much bigger. There is a pretty, small, swimming pool. Good breakfast
Pros: Very friendly and interesting hosts
Pros: Charming helpful host, beautiful village/countryside.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: great breakfast, comfortable beds, very clean and professional. Love their house.
Cons: First contact with the owner was a bit rough to accomodate with our arrival time. We needed to attend a wedding and therefore to be able to change cloth etc. It seemed not possible when we first discussed... In the end, we were able to arrive at 3 instead of 5 which was great.
Pros: great breakfast-if you get the chance have husband show his fashion design history.
Pros: A lovely quiet room, excellent breakfast, and the nicest possible hosts.
Pros: Fantastic host, great location, charming rooms and amenities
Cons: All is good
Pros: The Croissants were heavenly!!!! This is the way they should be prepared. The operators know what they are doing and are a complete delight. Would return again. Wonderful experience. Book it, you wont be disappointed.
Pros: The pool was an expected bonus. We arrived early but that was no problem, nor was leaving our bags there ‘out of hours’.
Pros: What a perfect property, location and host. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, with a big comfortable bed and being on the ground floor we could park right outside. It was beautifully decorated with very tasteful furnishings. The garden is a hidden treasure in full bloom during out visit and the pool a very welcome extra after a very hot day driving. Easy walk into the little town of Maintenon and the chateau, also only 25 minutes drive to Chartres. Our host was an absolute joy making sure we were well fed at breakfast. Home made jams and pastries were superb. Her company a delight - despite our very limited French! Thank you for such a lovely 2 days.

Cons: On arrival, the smell of chips / french fries prevailed , no welcome from the reception lady , not Even a smile
Pros: We liked the room, it was spacious and nicely decoraties. The hotel has a nice Spa with swimming pool.
Cons: On the 2nd night of our stay, there was a lot of noise from a party that was going on on the ground floor. However the reception took our complaint seriously and managed it well.
Located in Hermeray, La Grange de La Guesle is within a 15-minute drive of Chateau de Rambouillet and Forest of Rambouillet. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Fabulous place and lovely host.
Pros: Good breakfast but we know breakfast in France is limited. Some sorts of bread, jam, 1 cheese and yoghurt. We Belgians put more enegy and variations into our breakfast. But it was enough.
Cons: We booked one standard and one comfort room, the comfort one has a tv and sthe standard one not. No problem but prices for both rooms were the same. Internet was not working, i notified the owner and according to her it worked. Anyway, no internet from arrival to departure and cellphone connection is not good due to it's location.
