Breakfast was good, with the choice not being always the same. The bed had a comfortable true double mattress. The hotel is very close to transport and the old part of town
The room appeared to be clean, but the floor was not swept all over. The voile curtains were very dirty at the bottom. The room was cold. There was no towel rack in the bathroom, just hooks, so the towels never got quite dry. There was no shelf to put your things either while getting ready.
Good location, not far from the city centre with bus or tram. Decent parking possibilities at the hotel.
The beds are rock hard, not very comfortable. The bath room was decent though.
The breakfast was fabulous and a good price. The room was good but the bed was a little too hard for me and I could feel the springs close to the surface of the mattress. I was excited to see we had a balcony but we couldn’t use the balcony because pigeons used it as their roosting house. The wooden flooring displayed their permanent residency! I would stay again. It was a great position, very close 5 minute walk to the town or 3 stops on the tram, right outside the hotel. The main church cathedrals dels were amazing and the square below had a market daily. The historic walled Citerdal was next to the huge cathedrals and there were more churches and historic building in the fish market square only 200 m away. The best coffee is from Epitome cafe opposite the beautiful town hall. The town is close to a concentration camp and memorial from WW2 but you need a car to drive to their , about 20 minutes away. This town is a hidden gem to Australians. It’s a lovely place to visit. Great stop on way to the Bastei fels on the way to Dresden or Prague from Erfurt. Restaurants and food places were good.
I wished I’d been there to see the bike race a few days before.
Very comfortable, excelent breakfast, very helpful staff.
The staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was plentyful. The room was clean and modern with a comfortable bed.
Parking was available in the courtyard, but sometimes a little hard to get in and out off. But that couldn't be helped, since the yard was not very big, and not all the guests parked sensibly.
This hotel in the Andreasvorstadt district offers classically furnished rooms with a flat-screen TV. It is 600 metres from Erfurt University and 1 km from the city centre. All rooms at the Hotel Alt-Erfurt have a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Some rooms also feature a kitchenette or balcony. A large breakfast buffet is available. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel. The A71 motorway is 10 minutes away. Parking is available in the hotel courtyard for an extra fee.
