Central location by the seaside.Villa Albatroz is the sister hotel of Hotel Albatroz and therefor allows access to the pool of Hotel Albatroz where one can relax when the beaches are too crowded and/or too hot. There one can have lunch as well, with a fantastic view to the sea and beaches. Villa Albatroz is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, but I expect a few of those stars are "inherited" from Hotel Alabtroz. It has a good location but unless you get a discount it's not good value for money. Our room was a Standard Double with Sea View, but you had to stretch your neck to see the sea. Most rooms do not have a balcony. Breakfast was a bit dull as well.
High degree of servises. No.
Good staff and location Standard of decoration was fair, given the 5 star rating this was poor.
We thought we had booked the Hotel Albatroz so the Villa and its location was a big disappointment. However the staff made us most welcome. The bed was most uncomfortable and the room not quite what we expected. However we did enjoy our stay.
Service was very good. Location was excellent.
The view and the quality of food The noise outside and the lack of modern facilities
the ^restaurant was very good - they have an excellent chef who creates innovative cuisie with local ingredients The wines offered were excellent. The staff were friendly and helful and I felt like I was known there rather than room number one - take the room 1 as it has a small balcony and you can hear the waves from the beach - it was very comfortable.
Nothing special, maybe the location and the breakfast. People in receptio were nice.
The hotel is in a perfect location in Cascais surrounded by restaurants and bars with lovely views over the harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is expensive to stay and probably not up to 5 stars. Tea and Coffee facilities are not in your room they are in the hallway - Tea bags only. Taxis booked via reception are by private limo and very expensive.
Quaint, clean/elegant and great location
Nice area, very clean, renovated Very bad sound insulation. Could hear every body walking in doorway with bags and talking in low voice. Aloso a 2Euro extra tax on arrival ????? Why? And if you don't have a phone to call on arrival, you will be stuck on the sidewalk for a while as the place is not identified in a large bulding. Just press on every door bell and you might get the door to open!
Excellent insulation against noise and cold. Charming and very helpfull staff. Terribly cheap, including usefull breakfast. The carpets in the room should be thrown away as soon as possible. Better nothing at all, than ageless brown stuff.
Simply excellent. Staff extremely kind. There are some (very few) interior rooms that do not have windows to the street but only an air shaft to the corridor outside so may be a bit dark and potentially noise, depending on the neighbours.
location very central for our needs and good value for money. Breakfast was adequate and generous. Room was spacious enough. Booked room 2 months in advance with specific request for 4th floor room with view but was told none was available on arrival. Breakfast somewhat repetitive. Keys are attached to large metal disk so every time someone opened a door it was audible to entire floor. Man serving breakfast early in morning not very friendly.
Location was brilliant for the bars
Location Barrio alto
The location was very good, especially for the price
Very nice building and very nice room with view to sea. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.
The reception staff were excellent especially the breakfast lady from Poland
Superb location & excellent value for money. None.
The location was very central. Just a short and convenient walk to the Restuadores main bus, metro, tourist bus stops. The tourist info hub is just around the corner. There are several restuarants just down the road and you are able to sample a variety of dishes from just one place. The hotel itself was very clean and new and the rooms were very comfortable. We were travelling in a group of 5 with a 2 year old child and we had everything we wanted. Free WIFI!! but only near the reception. The staff were very helpful and obliging. We got some great advice on how to keep safe and find some good places to eat. The breakfast was satisfying and coffee was really tasty. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to people who want a good, safe, central, clean place to stay and dont want to blow their entire budget doing that. With a location like this you can can use your money for better things.
Very good location. Very clean. Very freindly, helpful staff. Facility for making hot drinks in room would have been nice.
location is perfect
hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Our room wasclean and noise isolated breakfast simple but hearty
Location is good. It takes around 5 minutes from hotel to subway or airobus. Breadfast is good. Price is reasonable. Bed is bad, so noisy.
Great location and friendly staff,I would come back.
I liked the location as it was near to the sights I wanted to visit and it was at the end of the famous food street...Rua Das Potas De Santo Antao. A little expensive for what it was but due to the location I can see why it was higher than it would otherwise have been given a different location.
Management very friendly and helpful, room clean, with a nice view (4th floor)
Location, close to buses metro and the square.Very friendly and helpful staff. Good sized bathroom and OK room. Only problem is no wireless in rooms which is odd considering they have it in the lobby. They really should have it in the rooms
