Border Village Roadhouse offers pet-friendly accommodation in Border Village. The property features an outdoor pool, restaurant, bar and game room. Some rooms have a seating area to relax in and a TV to enjoy after a busy day. There is a grocery store and souvenir shop at the property.
Pros: Neat clean and tidy, very welcoming
Pros: The staff were friendly and moved us when I told him how filthy and smelly the room was. The room we were relocated to was much more acceptable to sleep in.
Cons: Rundown, hair on the sheets, carpet filthy, sticky tape holding windows together, outdated, unsafe on the balcony/front steps the wood was coming away, stunk of dirty feet, dead moths on carpet, air draft coming in the room. I can’t say I have ever paid money to stay in accomodation such as that, we were considering sleeping in the car that’s how truly awful it was.
Pros: Staff were very friendly, restaurant was fantastic, absolutely amazing food. Considering you are in the middle of the Nullarbor the amenities were great; food, petrol etc.
Cons: can be a bit noisey in the early morning when all the trucks start to leave and the rooms are quite small.
Pros: We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, very clean with a fully equipped kitchen (used for breakfast) and it was lovely to have the toilet separate to the bathroom. No lack of televisions either, one in the main area and one in each bedroom to hopefully keep everyone happy. Shower pressure was good and no issues with regulating the temperature. Due to the restaurant being closed, meals were still available but only as takeaway, and were most enjoyable. The surrounds are lovely and the pool (also closed) looked very inviting. The roadhouse is well stocked, with grocery lines and souvenirs and not too overpriced. Even though located right on the Eyre Highway, there is very little truck noise at night and we would happily stay here again for a few days R & R.
Pros: during covid so this is hard to appreciate
Cons: crammed room
Pros: Room was comfortable, even with COVID-19 the meals were great and generous for the price. The staff were friendly and approachable. I would recommend staying here in your cross country adventure.
Cons: No wi-fi
