the pool no
The hotel is very clean and the facility is good. The staff can be more warm-hearted and the service can be better.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel is a close walk to the train station. The pool was great for the kids. The breakfast selection was good - something for everyone. The rooms are a bit outdated; however, it was not a big issue.
Kindly and helpfull staff, large rooms, quietness, every room has bacony darkness of the room
We were placed in a room in an annexe under the tennis court. It was dark and cold. Perhaps the other rooms are better but this was by no means a room of a 4 or even 3 star hotel. Poor value for money.
Second night we had a balcony on the fourth floor facing the Matterhorn which allowed us to take photos beginning at 5 A.M. when there were no clouds around the majestic mountain. Staff had accommodated by changing rooms for us. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of items. Provided free parking at the bw in Tasch and shuttle from/to train in Zermatt. bw in Tasch directly across street from train station. Be sure to get a token to exit the lot when you leave your car--may take time to find a staffer to give you one if you leave it until your return from Zermatt. First night on the first floor our balcony faced waste disposal bins. The elevator is very small--one person, one bag at a time please. Located at the eastern end of Zermatt, away from the centre and most restaruants, in an almost industrial section of the town--not the best area.
The service they provided was amazing, the hotel looks really classy
good location, wellness area indifferent reception staff, run down in need of renovation
View of the matterhorn. Kind of lodge-like. The hotel was charming in an old and dingy kind of way. Off the beaten path.
Very friendly manager and reception, very service oriented. central location next tot gornergrat station and general station, close to the main shopping street of Zermatt. Hotel is decorated in a personal, Art Nouveau like style, which gives it a special atmosphere. The hotel is very clean. Nice breakfast-buffet. Although very clean and luxurious, the bathroom is up for renovation. There is no possibility to shower standing up, with you hands free, as the bathroom only offers a whirlpool. The whirlpool is nice, but not always handy. The bathroom-airco is very noisy. We did not like the diner in the sister-Hotel Alex, which was suggested to us by the Manager. The food was excellent, but the atmosphere very impersonal, due to the fact that this is a -very large- hotel-restaurant.
I liked everything from the moment we walked in the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was gorgeous, loved the reading lights on each side of the bed. The breakfast was delicious and such a lovely room to be eating in. We are so glad we added on another night at this hotel.
Staff very helpful and accommodating, hotel conveniently located very close to railway station, amazing range of food for breakfast!
Great location, nice clean room, good breakfast
The staff at the hotel was without exception friendly, professional, well-trained and responsive. The hotel itself is well situated in the village next to both train stations, and offers a very nice level of luxury.
great welcome, comfortable quiet room, good location, nice breakfast with lots of variety showers difficult to use
The hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very helpful and very pleasant. I ended up staying an extra night
Convenient location for buses to ski lifts and easy walking to town. Comfortable beds. Dressing gowns provided. Fast lift. Good breakfasts. Friendly helpful staff. Nice views of Matterhorn from the balcony. Handy ski room. Free WiFi. No offer of breakfast for early checkout. No boot warmers in ski room. WiFi signal variable.
Incredible room with living room and large balcony and a view of the Matterhorn from the bed! Reception was not that friendly (especially during checkout). Breakfast was ok.
Freindly staff, clean and well equiped room, plus good central location
hotel was super for what we wanted. ski bus stopped outside. spa area is in basement . only small lift to access! we were told there were no stairs !!! heath and safety in uk would close it down.
The view of Matterhorn Mountain from hotel's room balcony and the excellent food from hotel's restaurant.
Location was excellent; 3 mins walk to main street, 1 min from electric ski bus - 1 stop to main lift station. On demand electric taxi from station to hotel....5 chf return each....otherwise 10 minute walk. Excellent breakfast. Nice spacious room for 3, 3rd person on sofabed. Good ambiance, bar, free internet screen. Overall good value...Zermatt is expensive!
The staff was very welcoming. Open to offer the best services . it is a very nice hotel , very friendly atmosphera
The breakfast was simple but pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a bit tricky to control the heat in the rooms and we ultimately found that we had to lead a window ajar in order to keep the room from being too hot. Staff was nice and their service was helpful. Our overall hotel experience met our expectations.
Very friendly staff, great views of Matterhorn and good breakfast
Beautiful space, sturdy industrial chic design. Very attentive service. Breakfast was included and the buffet is one of my favorites I've had. Love the theater and art gallery downstairs. Overall, even better than expected. Convenient to center of town.
Situation ideal for Zermatt train. Allowed to leave car in parking after checking out.
Our free upgrade to their sister hoteil Alpenresort in Zermatt was very much appreciated. We never got to see the inside of the Alpenhotel, therefore my comments relate to the Alpenresort. The food was excellent, the room spacious, very clean and romantically beautiful and provided us with what we came for; access to the mountains!
Nothing!!! I was terribly disappointed we did not get the room with a balcony that we paid for went to the desk and asked for another room it was overlooking a dirty pond with dead trees and broken ceramics ducks a real mess outside and it was not a balcony..the room was unbelieveably tiny bathroom door could not open all the way toilet right in front of the bed .. no room at all .. bed terrifically hard ..worst hotel and we visited 6 countries on our trip .. my husband researched this hotel looking for a Swiss hotel with flowers nice beds balcony nothing looked like the pics nothing front desk help not available smoking lounge at the base of the steps to outside smoke roaring thru the doors we were ready to leave My husband researched this hotel so that we could have a Swiss experience and we picked tasch because we had a car so we had no idea it was a small version of the port of new york authority hotel with a smoking lauge that was constantly in use by workers in the town no tourists were staying there there was no room at all to put your luggage imagine a skiing town and no room to put anything we were constantly tripping over each other we paid for 2 nights but did not want to stay 2 nights but we did and put up with it this is not a hotel for tourists to visit it was on the main street with no attractiveness at all just the train across the street and it was on a main drag nothing was nice about it at all a real mess
The staff were very uninterested in the guests
Very friendly and helpful receptionist, this was really the best thing about this hotel. The restaurant had surprisingly nice pizzas as well. Don´t bother with the "breakfast buffet". The price is too high for the value - for 10chf per person you get cheap ham, tasteless cheese and two sorts of bread. The bed was a real back-breaker. Both me and my partner had problems sleeping due to different body parts aching from the uncomfortable mattress. The pillows were stubby and the pillowcases were old and too well used to feel hygienic.
Good location for access to Zermatt train.
Very nice and equiped rooms, although a bit small. Very good location. They let us leave our car in hotel parking after we checked out, which saved us a whole day parking fee.
This is an excellent hotel, in a wonderful location if you like hiking. It is close to the railway station and to the Tourist Office. Rooms are very nice. In the evenings it is sometimes difficult to receive external phone calls
Room was clean, location was good. Nice balcony and shower. Comfortable bed. Yes. Free breakfast was not included, as mentioned on the ebooking info. The desk clerk was very snarky when asked about this. Also, reviewers had commented that there was a cash discount if paying in cash at time of checkout. Again, this was not true. I ended up spending much more than expected because of these issues. I would have stayed at another hotel had I known this. The wellness center facilities were too cool to enjoy. This was probably due to lack of use, but it would have been nice to have a sign stating this. We could have then powered up the facilities and come back in an hour when it had warmed up properly.
We were very happy with every aspect of our stay. No
Fantastic Hotel, great location, really nice rooms and excellent bar!
style & value
Very accomadating staff. Very helpful in all requests. I highly reccomend the place, especially for Skiing, Hiking and Night Life.
Loved the decor of the rooms, nice breakfast, great location in the heart of the village. Also, there were plenty of eating/drinking possibilities in the hotel itself. Will definitely stay there again!
Post is a wonderful place. You should stay here visiting Zermatt if you wanna be in a heart of entertainment. Small room, bed could be bit larger even in the same room.
The welcome & the newly designed rooms. Still a fun place to be but now modern & more comfortable.
Friendly staff, excellent food, amazing rooms, hotel in the centre of zermatt Nothing to complain
Nice restrooms. Polite stsff who wanted to help. Well located. Beds were comfortable. Interesting design I.E. wood floors were nice. Rustic feeling nice. Wireless internet connection is not effective in the rooms. I needed this since I work online. This caused me some problems and wasted time for me. A concierge would have been helpful.
The staff was so helpful and the rooms were gorgeous. It was also very easyto walk from the train to the hotel. I would love to go back and stay there.
Friendly staff, confortable rooms, fitness center, all hotel is beautiful, great breakfast Restaurant for dinner.Food is good, but not so good like menu pretends
the friendly and helpful staff. the pianist player on the terrace.
Tv to be with stlaite not only frinch Nothing
Staff very helpful. Service, room cleaning etc perfect. Guests all much enjoyed. Excellent hotel, but major downside was that only comfortable bar allowed smoking (thought banned?). All 7 of us had to use Monte Rosa (Edward's bar) each evening.
Knowledgeable, friendly and staff, wonderful spa and pool facilities, ski boot warmers, central location of hotel, buffet breakfast, impressive old world lobby, lovely piano bar The tired and worn bedspreads
i like the hospitalaty serviess&most of pepole workink in the hotels. Room price little bed high.
The staff there is excellent, and so are the amenities and services provided, they really know how to make their custoemr happy, we were there on our honeymoon and they themselves come up with surprises and add ons to our pakage to really please us. An excellent hotel, with Simple extraordinary staff, and superb rooms, the location is also good. Nothing at all....
The Spa is great and we could spend a beautiful, relaxed time there. The hotel staff is very experienced and giving all the time a good service. The kitchen maybe is not the best. Our dinner was really not spectacular: the meat to hard, one carrotte and we could not see the "polenta"!
Good Service N/A
frindly and helpfull staff. luxury and space of the rooms. locatoin except the sound of the church bell. the hotel is close to a church. the bell of the church rings every hour four times. the sound is very louad and annoying.
The hotel is very nice, very expensive, I think it is a poor value for money.
the stuff warm attitude and the willingness to be helpfull none
Attentive staff and hosts with a good room and outlook for the price and value Confusion between the spa and hotel at once overcome after arrival
We were given a free upgrade to a room with a Mattehorn facing view with a balcony. The room was very spacious despite of the extra bed. The balcony had a nice lounge chair and the view from the balcony was fantastic. When I called the hotel from the station, they sent a vehicle to pick us up for free. The drop to the station was also free. The breakfast was good with veal sausages & boiled egg being the two options for hot breakfast in addition to all the cold things. The restaurant staff was very helpful. The best part about this hotel is that if the weather is bad, the hotel has a huge indoor swimming pool, a kids pool with warm water and a big Jacuzzi. In addition, there is a billiards table and reasonably good gym. Nothing really but if you press, it is a 10 minutes walk from the main station. But the walk is not that bad. The dinner menu is fairly limited. No lunch is served.
Welcoming and friendly. Excellent restaurant. Brand new and complete spa and pool. Great access to skiing. Fabulous view of the Matterhorn. Felt my mattress slanted to the side a bit and no thermostat to regulate head in the room. Also, no bar soap. Very minor complaints in an overall wonderful stay.
The pool area and spa No
I never stay so bad in a hotel in my life, This hotel is the worste hotel that I knew.
It is a quite place, nice view, and the area of the spa and swiminpool is nice to relax a bit. Very proffesional staff.
The people is really nice. Got un upgrade of the room without even asking.
The kindness of the staff, the very good restaurant and the spa facilities.
The location is excellent just couple of minutes walking from Sunnega undergroubd station - also the room was very clean and the staff very friendly.
It was very nice, but 190 CHF for one night in a tiny apartment (we booked the hotel) was a bit too much, we had to take it because it was a concert weekend.I would have taken it for much longer, its adequate for a holiday but WAY too expensive for what it is on a special weekend. The price was exagerated just because of the festival. But everyone was doing the same so i guess its only fair....
Good value overall, reasonable breakfast, close to rail station and shops access from street not well signed (should be done better on website). spa open just 4hr per day
Good location, 5 min to the train station. Very, very small rooms. No way to control temperature of water in shower! Wi-Fi signal in room was very low. And very expensive, but it's Zermatt ;)
The hotel is quiet, nice and well managed.
A nice little place to stay. The room was very small and very old, but served its purpose. The hotel was not as easy to find as it would seem. The address seems as though it should be on the street listed in the address, but the hotel is actually 50 meters off the street down a small alley and behind another house. The most unacceptable aspect of our stay was that the hotel has a locked gate that closes at 9pm. If you expect to arrive later at night, don't book this hotel or you will be locked out.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was good. Rooms are reasonable in size but with comfortable beds. Hotel is quite convenient to the Train station. Nothing noted
Near the train station.
The staff were ever so helpful and the breakfast was really good and the room was small but very comfortable for our stay. I was booked into a room with a balcony but I didn't get the balcony but that didn't affect our stay. It wasn't until after the first night that I remembered this.
The hotel service room facilities and location are quite good.
The hotel is in easy walking distance from the train station. The front desk staff was excellent, very friendly and offered excellent suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants. The room was spacious with a new flat screen TV.
Location close to the train station is good; very convenient. Good breakfast spread and warm & friendly staff. Would stay there again.
Great location right in the heart of beautiful Zermatt. Lovely room with balcony. Staff all spoke very good English. Beautiful building very tastefully presented. Highly recommended. No refrigerater in the room. No guest laundry facilities.
The Hotel is very near to the railway station and its a decent and nice one to stay. I must say that its a good choice for any couple/family.Only....I felt that the price is on a higher side. May be because of the season time..else just perfect.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull. South Africa is a friendly country so we feld at home. Thank you it was great. N/A
Hotel and staff were fine and the breakfast was good. The location was very convenient as it was near the train station. The view from the balcony was excellent. The bed was very uncomfortable as it was essentially a foam mattress with no support.
Excellent room, knowledgeable staff, quiet location
location is excellent. Breakfast is good.
staff helpful near to centre station tourist spots breakfast limited choice as other best western hotel chain
Excellent room and facilities, close to railway station and town.
The location for the slopes and the town were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The spa facilities superior to many other more expensive hotels. The possibility of an evening meal would have been good.
The hotel is very close to the train station and the main shipping area. . The entire surrounding is beautiful mountains. The hotel staff were very hospitable and courteous. I told the management that I will stay there again in my next visit to Zermatt. There was inadequate lighting in the room, both the ceiling light and the bed lights. There was also no available electrical convenience outlet in the room for powering up our devices, e.g., phone charger, I-pod, GPS charger.
The room and bathroom were very clean. The staff were really helpful. We had a lovely balcony. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station and village centre The docor and style of furnishing seemed a bit old fashioned although maybe that is just the Alpine style.
1. The free breakfast! Seriously, after staying at hotels in Zurich, Lucerne, Interlaken, we found the best breakfast here! Actually might be the best meal we have had in Swiss (partly might because we dislike chees fordue...) We like it because it has both European and Asian style foods. We got the feeling of both home and local. 2. Friendly staff. The owner very generously explained us the small town like where to go and what to see. He kindly reminded us not to go to Zermatt since the cloud is too thick even at the mountain top. But our schedule forced us to go anyway. But thanks to him. 3. The kitchen. Even though we didn't use it. It is great to have it. If we have long time at Zermatt, we might have used it. The room is a little small. The second bedroom is really just a single bed wide. But it is enough for my 3-yr old to sleep alone.
Pool, tennis, large rooms, nice breakfast, good location
Older, but quaint and well maintained hotel with helpful staff and good breakfast
Great staff, great space for our family of 4, super clean, great view, very comfortable & welcoming. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
Rooms size, swimming pool, breakfast, sauna,... Excellent hotel 'Coocking' smell in the appartment and maybe too small kitchenette
The hotel is flexible. They offer us the hotel transfer to train station for our check-out as there is some rain. This saves us the time and we do not need to drag a big luggage throughout the rain. I'm so impressed.
the staff were excellent ,the setting was beautifull , the facilities impecable
The friendliness and competence of the staff was excellent and in my opinion they were what set this hotel apart in addition to the unique design of the hotel in comparison to the rest of Zermatt. The staff was exceptional and the hotel design unique but the facilities and value for money proposition were average at best.
Exceed expectation. Really good and the breakfast was great.
The friendlyness of the staff who were eager to assist with anything.
I loved the architecture and design, the staff, the attention to detail, the food, the views, the pool and spa. This is possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed in (and we've stayed in places like Qualia on Hamilton Island, Australia). I was in seventh heaven. The beds had no bounce and it was hard to cool the room for sleeping comfort.
Every detail outstanding from the building to the staff and the food. No negative comments to make
The staff are fantastic. The hotel is perfectly situated. The combination of both the staff and hotel make the Omnia an unbeatable combination. I'm weary to tell anyone about this secret!
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and in a great location with great views. I stayed in the smallest room with view towards the rock but it was pleasant nonetheless. I regret not swimming in the pool until the very last night of my trip as it was a most beautful pool which also had an outdoor part that had views of the Matterhorn. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide selection. Everything was clean and modern. The hotel also arranged pick-up and drop-off at the train station which was great. Enjoyed going in through the tunnel a lot. I would love to go back there! I feel that the staff could have been a bit more friendly. But perhaps that is only the Swiss character? They were however very helpful and service was very good so I have no complaints at all.
