The location was great.
The online description said there was a breakfast. The clerk told us breakfast was served between 6 and 9. All they offered was coffee. Our bathtub was infested with silverfish.
Close access to the interstate.
Poor maintenance, hard beds, phone in room didn't work, no bathroom fan, musty smell and the continentel breakfast was terrible (stale donuts, bread for toast, cold cereal and juice).

The atmosphere and rooms
My wife n i had the swimming pool and jacuzzi to ourselves the whole weekend. At 1 time this place was 3.5 to4 star. Had plenty of room for my 18 wheeler
curtIt was ran like it wasnt going to be there to much longer. Now the people were nice but things like posted directions to ice machine were wrong. Had to go to far to get ice. The coutyard looked like it could b a hazzard. The lawn was not neat. Oh well
Nothing about the hotel was good hotel was like return to early 90s
First room we check in to had no heat had cigarette but to in trash can had to walk down long hallways to get to room and go out a door to outside to get to room we stayed in room for 2 hour with heat on high and room temperature stayed at 65
It was a nice hotel for the price
The sink backed up
room had access panel to tub open cob webs, fire deteter hanging by wires toilet paper holder apart on toilet and electrical plug in mess fire hazard
Staff was accommodating to the fact that I have a service dog.
Rooms are dinghy, most of the furniture in the room was broken in some way. Random wore out couches are left in the hall ways. If you're only looking for a cheap place to sleep then this is the place!
The price for the room, frig. microwave, pool and spa. It is clean and great staff.
The blanket had a couple of small makes on it. Nail polish? or burns mark? very small.
Location was about the ONLY good thing about this location!
Absolutely appalled@ how rude counter staff was @ check-in & did not receive amenities that were listed when booking!
Quiet, convenient, with surprisingly comfortable beds.
Breakfast is served from 6 to 9, but if you get there around 8:30 it's ALL gone and you won't be seeing anything refilled.
Location to the interstate
No heat in room . My wife called the front desk for 30 minutes but no one answered . When checking out, the front desk person did not seem to care about our concerns . Seemed like we were bothering him . No discount or compensation offered .
Old, outdated decor. Very noisy ac unit. No hair dry in bathroom. Bath vanity very shody. Definitely would not stay there again.
Pool and hot tub area.
We checked out a day early but they kept our money for the last day. And, they would not print us a receipt for the bill or for the '24 hour' notice clause. Will never stay there again, nor will I ever book again online!
For the (super low) price, you can't ask for more - clean, microwave, fridge, big pool, free wifi, right off the highway. Friendly staff, free breakfast.
It might be time to update the pillows and the bedspreads.
Front desk clerk tried her best. Cleaning staff were very friendly. Free wifi.
Lumpy bed with springs was uncomfortable. Pillows were flat. Carpet was dirty and smelly. Continental breakfast was minimal. There was no coffee or hot water as machines were not working.
The rooms were cold. Doors did not seal. It had dirty carpets through halls and rooms. No game place like on web site. Not as clean as the pics on the internet show. Was offered space heaters when rooms were cold. No restaurant as the internet said.
LOCATION & PRICE. Not busy.
Tad on the older side. Could use a makeover.
the closeness to the main freeway
not well cleaned, not what website showed for pictures, no deadbolt on inside of room, very cold in room when we got there and it took more than 4 hours to heat up to being comfortable.
The room was clean
No tv remote, no hair dryer, poor attitude of both desk personnel and house keeping. Broken glass in the hall that housekeeping never cleaned up but watched them look at it several times.
The bar located in the hotel.
Definitely the room. It was small and looked fallen apart. The room was hot overnight, and after turning on the cool air, the fan blew out even more hot air. The toilet didn't flush after the first time we used it. So we had to use the toilet by the front
the only good thing about this hotel is that it is right off of the interstate exit
I didn't like anything about this hotel except the location
bed slightly uncomfortable
Looks bad from outside although the room was great and clean
We only needed it for a one night rest as we continued our drive the next morning to our destination. It was right on the route we needed.
The hallway between the room. Your 'view' was of the hallway and seemed odd. Also, breakfast was carbs. I am trying to live on a gluten free diet, all I was able to have was coffee (donuts, bread, cereal, oatmeal were your options). Beds hard/pillows tiny
It was located right off the interstate.
Loud people in hallways late at night.
The hotel was pet friendly which was a huge plus.
I was offered different options for a room size and come to find out it was the same room for different prices. It was described different.
Had a pool and a bar, nice place to waste some time
Lady working the desk could have been more friendly, the lady bartender was very friendly
Hotel was close to I-94 and inexpensive!
It was old, stinky, gross, and dirty... but you get what you pay for I guess!
The hotel was dimly-lit. Some areas of the hotel weren't even lit at all. There was an odd/old smell throughout the halls.
Not in the best shape, not really clean, halls smelled bad. Breakfast was the worst I'd ever experienced. No bread for toast, no coffee, no fruit, no juice, and nobody around. Poor effort overall.
Very easy to get to off the freeway. They made earlier time accommodations for breakfast for the Marathon runners.
Everything as fine.
the location was great and close to many attrction in the fargo area
the complementey breakfust took for ever only one person mining the tables and te customer after 15 min i just left. also all of your pillows are horribly flat and verry uncoftable and your bathrooms are verry out dated
The room was ok but staff was unfriendly and unhelpful.
There was black mold on the South ice machine which was clear out of our way but the only working ice machine. Absolutely horrible and would never stay there again. Bathtub seem to never have been clean since the place open and poor service in the dinning
We stayed at this Hotel on 12/14 and 12/15/2012. The lady checking us in on Friday nite was rude and insulting. Rooms are loud as there was a party two rooms down and the walls are paper thin. Breakfast was terrible! Couple bites and we were done eating. Location and parking is good and the lounge and staff were the only plus that I could find with this stay.
My family stayed at this hotel for two nights recently. Check in was painless, and we got our mechanical keycards (yes, they are hole keyed cards, so they can't be erased) and went to our room. Room was spacious enough. They quote having a microwave and refrigerator in every room, and since we were staying with family that weekend, I can attest to that fact. One issue we had was the refrigerator was a little annoying while trying to sleep. The compressor would kick on every now and then and would be a little annoying. It's not like a gunshot, but if you add a slightly uncomfortable bed along with small noises, it might become an issue. The TV's weren't all updated to flat panels (we had it in our room, the others had tube). Enough channels to keep us interested. The bathroom was divided by a door. One side was the sink, and on the other the toilet and shower. In another room, the bathroom was a single room, which seemed more spacious. The pool and hot tub were well received. We stayed on the weekend and the first night (friday) the pool was deserted along with the hot tub. On the second night, there was one family swimming, but they proceeded to leave once we got there. So it was quite nice. The pool went up to 5 ft deep. The hot tub could hold 6 comfortably, and probably more. One caveat was that the pool was a tad on the cool side. The continental breakfast is not like you would think. Yes, it's a hot breakfast, but it is served by a waitress/hostess. You get one plate of whatever they are serving and either coffee, juice or water. On Saturday morning we had french toast and sausages, on the next morning it was mini pancakes and sausages. The french toast seemed home made and tasted good. The mini pancakes had to be frozen from a box, but were still equally good. Sausages were good as well. You get a caraffe of coffee if that is ordered or a cup of juice/water. It's a simple breakfast, but by no means a carbohydrate buffet like most hotels continental breakfa...
This appears to be an old style Holiday Inn, but is well maintained. I liked having a restaurant and bar under the same room. The indoor pool and hot tub are nice but do show their age if you look closely. The rooms are very nice. We will use this facility again if we go to Fargo overnight.
This hotel was fair for the money. The room was clean but the furniture was out dated. It was fine for me because I was only in the room to sleep but it seemed like it would be a good place to get if you we're younger and wanted to party, there was a bar/casino inside and they served free breakfast until 9am but they had a set menu for everyday for the free meal. They had a hot tub and pool which I haven't gotten around to since I wasn't at the actual hotel too much.
The rooms are hideous. Nothing was clean, most the stuff in the rooms were broke. For exp, I had a suit with a hot tub. The hot water was all that worked for the hot tub causing it to be way to hot to use. The toilet water continued to run in which I noticed right when I checked in and called to have it fixed, by time I returned it had not been worked on at all. This by far is the worst hotel in the Fargo area. I would highly recommend staying somewhere else.
I have stayed at the Prairie Rose three times. I would rate it two and a half stars. The rooms and linens have been clean. I ave had to ask for a space heater during the winter. and It has been comfortable. The computer and printer in the lobbie are available 24/7. The poola snd hot tub seem clean. The food and prices in the hotel resturant are OFFAL! $5 or $6 for french fries. The bar looks like fun. One of the best thing is the location. Hospitals and malls etc are convenient. They give a nice Hospital discount. 'The desk people are good and bad depending on who's on shift. I suggest asking for ground floor if you have a problem with stairs. Make sure to get a map at the desk. It is easy to get lost with the hotel lay out. Ask for a Mini Suit if you want a microwave and refrigerator. Basically as I said the Prairie Rose doesn't stink..
