Only the location Staff Cleanliness Wi-Fi Shower Service Swimming pool
Close walk to Fira Lovely place Loved our room They need to buy more hair dryers :)
The room was huge and clean. The bed was very comfy! Bathroom was very nice! Breakfast was delicious! Overall a great value fior Santorini Island. The view was advertised as better view than it was. But the hotels with the best views are incredibly more expensive so we were happy with the overall nice staff, beautiful room and delicious breakfast.
The beautiful view over the caldera was absolutely incredible. The staff were all very helpful and just generally wonderful!
The staff at Ira were kind and helpful in every way. They provided transfers, restaurant recommendations, general advice and a cheerful presence at all times.
The view from my hotel room was fantastic. All the accommodations and amenities were fabulous and the staff was excellent. It was absolutely the highlight of my trip to Greece.
the room is so nice with pool in front and view. The qwner also very kind and take care us so special.
Fantastic location on edge of the caldera, friendly hosts, easy walk into Fira.
the view was breathtaking each and everytime we opened the door in the morning. The steps were also a great little work out.
It is exactly in an excellent part. It's no so far from the center and has few restaurants closer, but they are realy good! The shower is a little small in the Studio Room, like for just one person.
The manager was amazing. Very helpful and kind. He cares about his guests and their happiness. The location was breathtakingly gorgeous and the view of the Santorini sunset(which could quite possibly be the best in the world) could not have been better. This is a very romantic and comfortable place to stay.
very friendly staff, outstanding view, quite alot of stairs but it wasn't that bad for the view maybe better breakfast choices
Loved my stay here. I came for a couple days in low season and the suites had great views, comfy bed, good hot water, the breakfast included a good selection of hot and cold foods, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The private suites with views were a great plus. Very nice to sit out on your own balcony section and have some food or wine. Not Dana Villas specific, but be aware in low season that there are less places open around. Still there is enough.
From the first moment we arrived we were treated like royalty and family at the same time. No detail was missed and the property was incredible. We can not wait to return!
Everything! Satff, area, the view!!!!
I loved the view from our room and the friendly staff who were always happy to assist us The room was a bit small but we were still comfortable the views certainly made up for this
Our room seemed like it was the only room, very private, each Villa had it's own small private outside lounge area. Everything was great
Amazing Views, Awesome breakfast, staff is great!! There is nowhere else on Santorini I'd rather stay!
The gentleman at the reception is extremely polite and helpful. He is very serious about his job and treats you like you are a Hollywood star! Totally loved it... the honeymoon suite was amazing!!!!... the outdoor jakuzzi is best, even in the winter months... amazing experience...
Beautifully appointed villa with fabulous views and very friendly service. Ideal for a romantic holiday. Kitchenette worked well allowing you to spend evenings in your suite and soak up the vista. In line with the warning, you need to be aware there are lots of steps. However, staff were very considerate in making it as easy as possible.
The view was spectacular! The entire hotel staff was wonderful! We will stay there everytime we visit Santorini and recommend it to anyone visiting the island. No
The view of the sea is excellent, so is the staff! Really doesn't get any better in my opinion. Greece is very beautiful in general, but is not a cheap trip! Local's complain about the Euro and it's impact on travel & their cost of living.
beautiful,sea sight yes
the wiev, the breakfast, the pool area, The too long distance to the city
View from the hotel is fantastic Far from Fira, about 20 minutes walk! Easily solved when rented a bike.
We had a great stay at the Lilium. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean, the views were amazing, its location is a bit far from the town, but not too bad. Breakfast was good also. All in all a fantastic stay there. The bathroom had a dampy smell.
Magnificent view to the caldera, comfortable spacious room (suite 303), nice pool and surrounding area. Friendly staff. It's quite a distance to reach Fira! There is, however, spacious parking space. The bathroom was too small and rather uncomfortable.
First would have to be the fantastic view. The staff and service was terrific and it would have to be one of the best places to go to in this big world of ours. Absolutely loved it !!!!
Very nice staff any beautifull view Beds were to hard on my old back :o)
A lovely comfortable hotel with fantastic views, the breakfast and dining area was very pleasant, again with wonderful views the food and service was good The hotel is situated a little to far from the town for us to walk and even though the hotel offers free transport it is limited
good location. You can go to Fira by a path with beautiful view. View from the hotel is also fabulous and Swimming pool is very nice. Staff extremely kind. we have no complaint.
Beautiful view, service, design, cleanliness, warmwelcome, special attention to customers ( my wife birthday), good selection of music (cd's) to bring in the room, outstanding swimming pool. tranquillity, and charm. close to 200 steps to get to the street
Lovely location. Nice to be just outside the centre and away from the cruise ship crowds. Lovely rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. A real treat! Good view of the sunset! It wasnt a problem for us but be aware you will need to be able to manage stairs. The location is worth it!
The location was great-we ejoyed being tucked into the Caldera, away from the noise of the city and with awesome veiws all around.
The view was amazing. Modern and clean. Friendly staff that recommends and helps with everything you might need. Hard to find.
This is a gorgeous hotel with an amazing view, great rooms, lovely breakfast, and very helpful staff - especially Tsiala, she is a star. If we ever return to Santorini, we will definitely be staying here. Due to an unforeseeable problem with another guest we were unable to stay at Agali Houses on the first night and were put up in Cliff Side Suites instead. It was aweful, dirty and not nearly as nice as Agali Houses. We were very pleased when we moved and luckily got an upgrade to make up for it!
The room was large, very modern and the views spectacular. Apart from our balcony, there were several terraces where you could view the sunset. Breakfast was very good, usually taken outside on the terrace. We felt it is situated in one of the best places in Santorini as Firostefani lies between Fira and Imerovegli, both within easy walking distance. A fantastic holiday! The only thing was we felt the shower should be fixed to the wall and the bath was quite difficult to get out of.
Our apartment was spacious and even nicer than expected. The views from our two large terraces was spectacular! Loved every moment. Thank you. The steps to the road was a little tiresome and not for the weak or disabled.
This hotel is beautiful. The views from the rooms, swimming pool, bar area, everywhere are stunning. It's exactly what you would expect from a hotel in Santorini. It is approx. a 10 minute walk into Fira which is fine as it gives you plenty of spots for photos. The hotel will organise a taxi for you into Oia, we always got the local bus back as it drops you directly outside the hotel entrance. All in all a super place to stay. Room was great with a real double bed!
We were greeted very warmly. Felt as if the staff were inviting us into their own home. Everything was very personal & they were so friendly. We were given a glass of peach juice to enjoy while they finished setting up our room. They did not even allow us to carry our luggage to the room; someone brought it there for us & I was very thankful for that because climbing up and down the stairs was very tiring that first day. It was very quiet and relaxing. Every room/balcony had a beautiful view of the volcano/caldera. a safe 10 minute downhill walk into Thira. But that means going back was uphill! We were graciously upgraded to the loft since it was our honeymoon. It was an incredibly wonderful experience and I'd love to return!! It was perfect, nothing to change!
We had the golden echo suite. It is like in the photos. Everything was perfect, 2 jacuzzi with hot water 24h, great design and luxury of the suite - it is a white cave very special, great service, breakfast with everithing (I suggest to check every dishes on the breakfast module), fantastic view, no noises. Like a dream. A little expensive.... But it's worth the cost.
The service was phenomenal, the view was magnificent, and the value for money was unmatched. The staff were always attentive and helpful. Highly recommended as a relaxing / honeymoon destination.
This was a phenomenal hotel with fantastic views of the caldera from every suite. The service was five stars. No.
Above Blue was Above all Expectations!! Excellent Staff , Breathtaking Views, Designer Rooms, and a Private Champagne Breakfast, All of which made for holiday heaven on earth!
Amazing view, great hospitality, friendly staff and excellent breakfast all make our holiday unforgotable. We will be back for sure!!
watching the amazing view for hours No, everything was excellent.
staff/owner went out of their way to be helpfull, When one of our tours were cancelled they drove downtown to notify us. Very caring, room very comfortable, large by European standards. Hotel new and well looked after. Great view.
What we liked the most at the hotel was the magnificent breakfast, it self and the view with it from our room. The staff was always ready for us and they were caring and competent. The jacuzzi wasn't always hot has we expected.
It was picturesque and serene. A definite break from reality.
The view was fantastic; I don't think there is a better spot on Santorini. The breakfasts were the best we ever had in any hotel. The staff at the pool/bar aera were helpful. We also enjoyed the quality sound system in the room. We found ants in the Felicity suite (on the bed and on the bathroom floor). Lots of them (I killed more than fifty) and the management didn't seem to care about our distress.
The service was great, they kindly picked us up from the airport at 1am, and helped us printing a document, their treatment was very warm. The place has a good location, a 10-15 min walk take you to the cable car for the old port (or the donkey station), there is also a bus stop in the route to Oia next to the hotel. Also nearby you can see the sunset next to a beautiful church. Pillows could be a little softer :-)
The view over the Caldera is outstanding, Host is attentive to every detail. Would stay again! nothing....
Views, peaceful, location and welcoming staff nothing
the personal approach of Manos -- view over the Caldera - terrace outside the bathroom is too basic for the price..
Great location for watching the sunsets. The spa was a also a great place to relax. Shops were nearby, as were some nice restaurants.
Overall ambience of hotel. Situated on one of the best sites on the island. magnificent views and very central to all activities and walking distance to Fira. No complaints whatsoever. we think we were lucky to have booked such a place through the internet..We booked for three nights but stayed for four.
It's a very peaceful place. The location is great & good restaurant nearby too. The owner is extremely helpful & service is definitely one of the best I have encountered. He actually let us have the room till 9pm when we are leaving for Athens. Excellent & No complaints.
Breakfast Great service Beautiful views Nice location Nothing
friendly staff, eager to please, very helpful, great location
The view from the balcony and the manager was very friendly and gave us excellent service no.
Everything was perfect! Amazing location!
Outstanding view, very friendly host, short walk to town centre, would definitely stay again
The value of the resevation lies in the incredible view that is on your doorstep and with such easy access.
The location in Firostefani was great, restaurants all around and only 10 minutes walk from the main city of Thira but much more pleasant ! The good surprise was the jacuzzi on the terrace, with a wonderful view on the sea. The owners are really nice, the breakfast was good and well served. A place to go without any hesitation !
The location & the views from the hotel It was a little difficult to find
Wonderful view, very good location, only few minutes walked to fira (main city). no safe for valuables
The view was phenomenal! The staff was helpful, kind, and friendly.
Nektarios who ran the hotel was fabulous. I e-mailed to say we'd be arriving at midnight on the ferry from Rhodes and he organised a transfer for us and stayed in reception until we arrived. He organised tours, quad bikes, everything. He was great. Our room (on the third and forth nights) of our stay was lovely. Perfect location - good value for money. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast overlooking the caldera. Will definitely recommend hotel. As with all our booking on booking.com, I felt that we were given the smallest room in every hotel. I felt that booking.com had been given the small rooms to sell on their site. We had room #1 for the first two nights of our 4 night stay - it was smaller than the other 8 rooms, next to reception, the shower was broken, couldn't hang up the shower hose and it flooded the bathroom and the air con remote screen was cracked. We asked to move and Nektarios moved us no worries! We also listed honeymoon as our reason for travel and not once was it mentioned. Did they know..? On leaving the hotel, we saw the staff sprinkling rose petals and lighting candles for another couple's arrival :(
Magnificent view from our room. Fantastic breakfast included. Clean. Plenty of hot water for bathroom. Polite/helpful house maid. Manager helpful. Room was tiny. Bed was hard. Lots of small repairs needed like curtain hooks, towel rail. shower holder, wardrobe door. etc. Very noisy frig. Towels were very 'scratchy'.
Fabulous views and a very comfortable room for a very good price. The staff is excellent and very attentive. Great breakfasts, as well.
hot tub and caldera view
Friendly owner, good location, spectacular view from patio no shower curtain, no shade on patio, place had little charm. Recommend staying there? Yes, but not enthusiastically.
We love the place, Santorini Island but I don`t like the hotel perhaps the hotel needs a manager
Brilliant! I couldn't have asked for a more blissful and gorgeous setting. The rooms were spotless and luxurious, the staff (especially Nenad) were warm and welcoming and the breakfasts looking out from the Caldera just breathtaking. Worth every cent. Best hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at quite a few!
I couldn't imagine a better place for a romantic holiday! This small, boutique hotel is tucked away on the slopes of Firastefani, which means you have stunning views and plenty of peace and quiet - although if you want some night life, that's only a 15 min walk away in Fira. The staff are some of the best we've ever met - friendly, personable, excellent at pre-empting your requests, and when you need them to - they disappear to make you feel like you're in your own little world. We've been missing the mill Houses ever since we left!
Service was great, and views were amazing at sunset
The staffs were great, always helpful and with a smile. The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning and the room were awesome. We liked our breakfast very much and with a stunning view of the caldera & the sea, it just makes our trip worthwhile. Nothing, everything is perfect.
Location, location, location! Stunning view! Friendly and accomodating staff. Hard to find as there was no sign for it in the area where it is located. Our mini-suite had a problem with the air conditioner which didn't work making it a bit too humid and warm. Management said they would fix it once I let them know on our departure.
The staff was helpful The rooms are overpriced. The pictures are not an accurate representation of the room we booked.
The location and the delicious breakfast, the best in our trip to Greece. The room was nice and very clean too. I think the value for money is not very good. The swimming pool is very small and there is not enough space to spend the day around it.
The hotel staff was fantastic, always making sure we were looked after.
Freindly helpful staff, great location Hard to find initially
staffs are very nice , the location of the hotel is great, the view from hotel room is pefect
fabulous location, excellent staff could not be more helpful only that we had to leave
the staff was very friendly, helpful and kind. our room was not good and they happily changed it for us and asked several times during our stay if we werehappy. a bit misleading on line about the rooms
The view from our room was amazing, however, this didn't compensate for the rock solid bed, the light fitting which wasn't screwed in properly or the lack of towels in the ensuite bathroom. The Belvedere does not have a lift (it took seven flights of stairs to get to our room), nor does it have good insulation...
The view from the room was magnificent. The location was wonderful - close to the conference center and downtown, but at a quiet and beautiful corner of Santorini. The breakfast was very tasty. The bathroom was not as nice as we expected.
Hotel is located in a nice view corner and very close to Fira town. Breakfast is fair enough, maid is nice too. But one of the receptionist is not very good who is rude to Asian customers.
1-Staff -Sotiris the manager will guide to the best restaurants and best places to visit,Georgi and Sergei are great 2-the best unobstructive view of the sea 3- great pool 1-showers but we were told that this will be their winter project 2..internet..only place to get connection is in the office..again this is a winter project 3- would not reccomend to seniors who have problems with stairs..no elevator..from our room to the reception, there are 92 steps...some rooms are closer to the reception 4-breakfast needs improvement
The magnificent view of the Volcano Poor facilities
The staff is very nice, our stay at the hotel was magnificent. superb view and excellent service. I recommend it very much for rommantic holiday minor things, not important
Staff were great, really helpful and friendly. The view is amazing and it is a very romantic setting.Hotel was beautiful. The loft apartment although nice has a ladder to go up to the bedroom. We probably should have be told about this as it was dangerous in the middle of the night to go down to the bathroom. Also the caldera apartments are at the bottom of the hill with a very steep slippery path going up some older people may not have managed this.
The view was amazing. The pool was great and the rooms were lovely. The breakfast was a little average for the price, but the view and location overcame everything!
The staff were very accommodating and kind. The view and location in central Oia were lovely and the accomodations were very traditional. The location and studios we booked and stayed in for 1 night at Caldera Villas were very poor and not nearly worth the price. They were down the caldera 100 difficult steps and the rooms were tiny, very basic and unattractive. One bed was up a narrow ladder in a loft. Fortunately the manager was able to move us to rooms at the Residence Suites annex for our next 2 nights. Those rooms were much larger and more attractive, but with no special amenities. Though much better, this hotel was also somewhat overpriced for what it offered. The breakfast was terrible, especially the orange juice and coffee.
The rooms are lovely and romantic, so is the private balcony overlooking the Santorini caldera. The swimming pool and the terrace around it are very pictoresque and relaxing, one could spend hours just sitting there and admiring the dramatic scenery of the island from the pool itself. In all, the hotel has a calming aura, it is so pleasant, that one gets reluctant to leave it for too long. Two things must definitely be changed in the description of the hotel. First of all, there is no full English breakfast (one of the main criteria why I choose this hotel). When I asked about it, the employees stared at me clearly revealing that they did not even know what English breakfast is. Overall, the breakfast is very poor for the high price one pays for this hotel. The selection of food is limited and cheap, plastic glasses are a bit insulting. This is the only reason why I felt that I did not get what I ought to for the money paid. It must be definitely mentioned in the description that there are numerous steep steps leading down to the hotel. For me that was slightly discomforting, but elderly guests would find it very difficult.
The view overcharge for a little hospitality i.e. no water bottle, no toileterry, poor breakfast quality
Great location, facilities and staff.
incredible view, even if from our room you weren't able to see the caldera and the sunset...swimmin pool. too expensive for the quality of the rooms.
The view was an amazing and the staff as well. Amazing room and service. They didn`t have Frappe or Freddo which is a must in Greece but for the rest was great.
The service was excellent and very friendly, the rooms were beautiful - CD player in room etc. We had our own sun loungers and the pool, although very small was very much appreciated.
great view of cliff, very nice hotel,we have our dinner just in front of our room seeing the sunset, highly recommend
Room small and quaint. Hotel in middle of fantastic Santorini architecture with fantastic view of caldera. Sit on the balcony and enjoy a wine while the sun sets. A few minutes walk from Thira. Basic, especially the bathroom.
Not really a "hotel" rather a restaurant with some (very small) rooms. Location is super: caldera view, within easy walking distance of Thira, right next to a busstop, parking for cars nearby. Breakfast: enough but on 6 mornings 6 times exactly the same.
The hotel is located centrally in Firostefani, near the bus station and many restaurants or cafes. It has a very good sea view, practically i could enjoy the beautiful view of caldera and sunset in bed. It was the best thing to drink a beer on the tiny balcony during the time of sunset or take the breakfast, while the sun shines over the volcano island. The waiter of the restaurant was not kind, i think, they are different departments, so it was not his job to serve the hotel guests. The food of the restaurant was not good, but expensive.( I had my dinners in a taverna on the left side of the main street to Fira, just 50m from Ferostefani bus station, it is my personal accommodation, the name is Simos.) It was very noisy in Remvi, because the restaurant plays music until late night, the refrigerator was loud, plus church clocks on friday.
Excellent view, cleanliness Small misunderstanding with owner for the first night, but she didn't charged for it.
The view of the hotel The room is too small
Clean, stylish, great service. Superb place to stay in Firostefani. Surroundings are beautiful. 15 minutes walk to Fira center. Bus stop for buses to Oia and Fira is a 3 minute walk. The hotel is great provided Firostefani is where you want to stay. While a matter of personal choice, we took a preference for Oia, and might have wanted to stay in that area.
We stayed 3 nights here in mid-September. The situation of the hotel is excellent, the little village of Firostefani is a little bit more authentic than Fira, and you can reach Fira on a very beautiful stroll along the cliffs. The hotel and the room is extremely clean. The breakfast is served in the room and was very good. We had a maisonette style room, a quite small jacuzzi next to the bed, from where we could see the sea on both sides of the island. From the hotel, you can book many different boat trips. Next to the hotel there are some excellent restaurants, we especially can recommend the Vanillia for its fresh fish and the small terrasse of Vallas for its excellent fresh juices and salads! All in all, an excellent choice! The car rental is actually free and would be a very good opportunity to visit the island. The problem is, you don't have insurance if you use this car, so whatever happens, you pay.... Also, the room is not very cheap, even though you get a good deal for the price. September is a very good time for travelling in these islands, the prices are a little bit better than the rest of the year and it is less crowdy. It is very windy, during the day no problem with 30 degrees, but the evenings can be cold, so take a jackett!
Spectacular views from west side rooms. 2 bathrooms. Free internet connection in rooms.
Fantastic view, the hotel staff are friendly, the was clean and big. We recomend for everyone. Fantastic place.
hotel is well located to visit the island Photos of the hotels are misleading. jacuzzi impossible to use and does not add any value to the hotel. very expensive for what it is.
The hotel staff were great, very helpful and friendly, the room was very comfortable, clean and had a nice view of the island. The water in the jacuzzi was a bit cold.
The view was incredible from our balcony, a little minus we had a electric cable just in front of it, so to take sunset pictures you had to go on the street .The breakfast was ok. We had a hot spa in our bedroom the smell of the chlorine was there but you get use to it, also it was hard to get in to with narrow ladders . We had a couple of trouble in the room which were fixed during the day while we were away (like bad sound on TV, fridge not cooling, burned bulb).Beside these ,the location was perfect for us ,away from the center of Thira , which is a Zoo when you get 9 cruising ship in the port.
It's a beautifully decorated hotel situated on the cliff with the most magnificant view. Although it's 10-minutes walking from Fira, I like it even better since it's nice and quiet. Breakfast on the patio looking out the volcano is something I will remeber for a long time. When we got to the hotel there was no one there. Luckily we had a laptop with us and called the number listed on the door. It wouldn't be a problem if guests have cell phones, but with international travelers it could be difficult to make the call.
We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed it very much. We decided to take one of the bigger room (junior suite) and it was the perfect choice. Our 15 months old daughter had lots of space to play around. The staff is great and the shuttle to Mykonos very convenient. Food at the restaurant was very good and prices are fair. Elia beach is beautiful, it is very clean and the colour of the watter is just incredible.
like the sea view from the room, nice breakfast a main road in front of the hotel, no privacy at all.
Great spa pool overlooking the sunset.
