The building made a lot of creaking noises in the morning hours which was disruptful with sleeping. Otherwise a very good experience.
Very clean, rooms didn't smell of old cigarette smoke.
I really enjoyed the staff at the front desk! They were helpful and fun to speak with, especially Tony on the night shift! The location was awesome! I didn't like all the dust on the hallways on the furniture. It was so thick I could run my finger through it on the third floor. And one of the guest across the hall had a dog that barked a lot!
Open clean room. Very friendly staff. The first impression wasn't to good when I went to check in and my enervation wasn't in the system but the manager did take care of it right away. I definitely did not like the 22% service charge added to the room service bill.
Very comfortable room and bed. Room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. I recommend this for both business and pleasure.
Clean room and great breakfast Entrance wasn't inviting
Breakfast layout of the room
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice & quiet, rooms quite inexpensive for quality/size/location
Clean hotel with a friendly staff. I had a great stay.
You staff at the front desk at check in was wonderful.
The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the area. The management and front desk personnel were equally courteous and helpful. The facility was spotless. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and had a lot from which to choose. Located in a clean, safe area with little, if any, traffic congestion. The carpet was freshly cleaned. There was nothing about the staff or the facility that was negative.
You r great
The staff was wonderful and very helpful!! It was clean, the breakfast was good, and it is near a lot of great restaurants, not too far from DC, and near some great shopping and historical sites.
Great staff, good breakfast Beds too hard but I guess that is expected. When you have an airbed it is difficult to get used to a hard mattress 8^)
The staff were pleasant even though not truthful No information in regards to construction. Upon arrival were told by staff that the construction was Monday thru Friday only ~ NOT! We stayed on the third floor just below a floor being renovated so you heard the saws, hammering, the sanding. And on our floor the construction workers had traced white texturing mud thru the carpets. We had smoking on a non_smoking floor, loud drunk men right across from my room. With my parents down the hallway...a woman alone with two small children this was not a safe place. We would have gone else were but our rooms were charged to my dads card prior to their arrival a day earlier.
Location was good, close to DC . Friendly staff Never told us that Hotel was under construction when we reserved our rooms. Noisy equipment the hole time. Suppose to be a pool and spa. No spa on the property. Very disappointed.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Good job
Bed and room
Great service. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Room was nice.
Location, size of room, amenities Bed sheets were light. Should have included heavier covers.
I liked the comfortable large bed, the room deified media console and the bathroom. The hotel hadn't received my booking information 30 minutes after receiving my confirmation. The desk understood and got us the room we requested.
The hospitality was great. Friendly staff willing to assist, especially when we had adapter issues. Shuttle bus always on-time.
The shuttle drivers where caring, charismatic and comforting. There is one who's last name is Abdullah that caters to his riders and make your short trip a ball.
Loved there room and all of the complimentary items. Really a great place overall. The breakfast was about $20 for a buffet... However it was delicious
Due to construction traffic, did not arrive at Dulles until 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning and needed to be at airport for flight to Mexico (via Houston) at 6:00 a.m., so I never checked in. Tried to cancel this reservation and was not successful. Because of this difficulty, I will never use Kayak again. Gloria Tadlock
Inexpensive The staff is rude. I had a poor experience with a front desk staff Nov 21, 2015. Her name is Julia. The staff has hair over their badges so their name is not revealed. I ask her her name.
Thanks for the great deal
Location Rooms and hotel in general are in need of an update. Very noisy which made it difficult to sleep. Front desk clerk spoke with such a heavy accent that I could not understand a word he said. Got charged $50 for something we did not incur. Listed as a four star hotel on Kayak, which it is not even close to being. (Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, also in Northern VA, is also listed as four stars.)
Electronic check in/out. Use of smart phone to unlock room door.
Friendly and helpful staff . Free wifi. The construction (fence) by the entrance. Wifi can be slow.
The room was big enough for a family stay. The shower door couldn't close, and took forever to fix it. When you flushed the toilet, the water splashed everywhere.
Satalite tv didnt work. No breakfast. Pool closes too early. Room is hot. No fridge no microwave. No stamps to mail things. Everything was horrible. Tv sucked pool closed to early no free breakfast no kid friendly place to eat. No stamps no fridge no microwave.
Very high value Next time we stay in Washington, we will look for a place close to metro
I liked the bed I can't believe a major hotel chain is still charging for internet in 2015.
Lobby and front entrance is good Room, Refrigerator is not working they replaced but still it didnt work. No expecting this from 4 start hotel.
Staff was good god awful carpeting and other furnishings in the hallways and (to a lesser degree) in the rooms. It looks (and smells) like they haven't updates it since around 1975. It's time. There was a stain on our comforter.
front desk restaurant bar
Close to the airport. Shuttle goes every 30 min Nothing. Reasonably priced for one night layover in Washington
I loved the room and shower. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was o.k. I have terrible allergies. They allow pets at this property. The Pain de Quotiden next door decided to have a kitchen fire while I was trying to do work before checkout. It's not the hotel's fault, but the alarms went off and we had to leave the building if we couldn't stand the blaring alarm. I just decided to checkout.
Great facility. Great location surrounded by wonderful options for social networking. I purposely selected the Hospitality Suite 4 a romantic wknd. Staff forgot 2 clean tub nite # 2.
Other than the location 'for me', everything was a blast... N/A
clean and comfortable. love that all rooms are suites, love the manager's reception-bartender Ace is the best! And breakfast is delicious and very large for a free morning breakfast-only place I ever stay when in Tyson's corner!
Breakfast The staff mainly the large group lady were terrible. I had 100 guest there for a wedding. They gave my guest a week to get the block which going on Hotels.com was cheaper then their group rate. She told us our guest would have to pay to park which its the weekend which parking is free. We also were told our guest would be able to be picked up after the wedding but that day were told the driver leaves at 1045pm wedding ended at midnight. The staff kept telling us "we will find out and call you" still waiting on all those calls. Been to many other Embassy Suites in other cities and love them but Tyson's Corner location has got to shit!
Rooms were spacious, Free Happy Hour, Free Breakfast. Centrally located in Tysons Corner. Overall, it's ok for a few nights. Dated interior. TV went out for 30 minutes but i'll blame the rain.
Happy hour The staff
The location of the hotel the set up the rooms. The happy hour and breakfast. Very clean and organized My room was next to the ice machine so you hear people getting ice all day
Location was good. I requested a wake-up call, but never received it.
I was thoroughly impressed at the willingness of ALL the staff to pitch-in and help when needed. The Hotel is clearly a Family-Oriented facility, so if you're a young couple looking for a "get-away" or peace & quiet, I wouldn't suggest this place. But as a whole, the value which includes swimming accommodations WITH a Lifeguard, complimentary breakfast & Happy Hour free drinks - you can't beat it!
Rooms quite large, with two TV's, desk and all the convenience for the a business or leisure traveler. I liked the happy hour, with free drinks, and the fresh breakfast in the morning. There is a pool although I did not use it.
One of the elevators was out of service and it was a long wait going any where. Also breakfast buffet didn't give all choices advertised for breakfast.
two room suite. very nice, especially with kids. bathroom was a little small. extra charge for internet access in your room
Free breakfast and afternoon cocktail. The staff were very friendly and did there job well.
I was in and out quickly on a late check-in one-night stay, but staff was great and hotel is clean, modern design, serviced apartment amenities like kitchen and living area sofa are nice comforts. Breakfast buffet was good as far as hotel breakfast goes. Somewhat surprised there is no restaurant/room service, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
The staff at this hotel could not be more friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I have stayed here repeatedly and will continue to stay there each time I return to the area.
Mike at the desk was awesome, lots of greatb info on dining out around the area and always extra friendly with out a car it was a little difficult to get around even with the shuttle to the metro 2x a day
What a great value for your money! It was an absolutely beautiful hotel with an incredibly nice staff. Room was spotless, stylish too. Great location for fairfax area, with access to mall and shopping areas. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
Excellent staff! Efficient, friendly, professional; facility well maintained and well appointed Can't think of any or no "bad points" were apparent
Jordan she was welcoming I didn't like when the internet stop working not because that I didn't have wifi bothered me the most but when I was trying to print files in the business center and I ask Jennefer the resaptionist if I can print some file she apologies that she didn't have wifi so I brought a Flash which been suggested by a guest in order to print it through the desk when I came to her again she told me that I can print it myself ,she came with me but it didn't print I told her to print it for me she asked me Rudly are you aguest her? Which clearly I am I told her instead of invistagating your guest you should of suggested a solution to solve the problem , I'm going back to DC but I will not stay or recommend anyone to stay at it.
Courteous staff, location, cleanliness. Breakfast not included.
We got in at midnight. The front desk got us right to our room. The room was excellent. Very good experience.
The facilities overall were good. Parking was easy and a value the bar area was really nice. The hotel was quiet good value overall The response from the front desk about the safe and the bed in the room looked like someone had laid on the bed and when they had issue requested a room changed however they never got the room ready before I checked in
The service was great and the hotel was so clean! There was nothing. I loved everything
Nice clean and modern
Lobby is beautiful, the rooms clean and spacious. Front office staff was great at check in and bar staff was friendly and attentive.
The design and comfort of the room were great. The bathroom was outstanding - very nice change from most other hotels! The cost of the room was a great value. We would stay again at this hotel without hesitation. Our waitress in the Padella restaurant was terrible. We were there around 7:30pm on 9/7/15. She was very rude to me (husband) and addressed all of her comments and questions only to my wife, constantly finishing her sentences with "Ma'am" and looking only at my wife, not me. When we first sat down, her first sentence was "Can I get you drinks?". Before we had a chance to answer, she immediately said to be "Do you want to order the rib eye?". We did not even have our menus yet. I said nor did absolutely anything to cause her "men hater" attitude. It took forever for her to bring out the bill. When she finally did, she never returned to collect the credit card. We were by a window. During all of this time, I saw her spending a lot of time gossiping with someone at a particular table, as well as walking around cleaning up other tables and setting up place settings on tables. We ended up going to the bar to pay the bill. The bar tender was extremely nice. After paying the bill, we ordered two drinks to take up to the room. The bartender did an outstanding job in making the drinks.
Love the room it was clean and comfortable also the bathroom was so spaces and clean. The pool my kids loved it they where in from the time it open until is was closing time I must say we did enjoyed our self. Nothing not to like.
Staff was very friendly & helpful. I requested a room away from elevators and it was granted. Also recieved a free 2pm check out. Loved the bathroom especially the Kolher square rainforest shower head. Tv signal keep going in& out so I had to use my tablet instead. But wifi is free on weekends so no worries :)
The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were modern and very clean. The staff wasn't attentive. I felt like we were being nickeled and dimed (We had to pay for breakfast and for internet)
Location No food options at night. Our flight landed after midnight and we were told the kitchen was closed and there was no room service. All we were offered (initially) was junk food (candy, etc). After a few minutes of looking in vain for something healthy to eat in amongst all the junk food the desk clerk admitted actually there *might* be some chicken salads left in the kitchen and called someone to bring them out. Now, obviously I can never prove this but I'm convinced that they were keeping these meal aside for staff and that, presumably, leftover fresh food that expires at the end of the day (like salads) are given to staff. Anyway, that's the last time we'll be staying there.
The hotel is close and looks nice. The room was nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Only there for a few hours due to a missed flight. Staff were nice but didn't go the extra mile to help. I was tired and hadn't slept in 24 hours. Getting basic hotel info was like pulling teeth. It would have been nice to have some better late night room service options after being trapped in an airport all day. The airport shuttle was late leaving which was annoying, but ultimately fine since we were so close.
The staff was highly helpful and very nice. The room was really clean and spacious, overall we had a great stay and would come back again.
The room was well-appointed and nicely arranged, but the bathroom was exquisite, with a big walk-in shower that included a rainwater sprinkler and separate hand shower. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The Sunday buffet breakfast was reasonably priced, though the selection was fairly simple and routine. Wi-Fi wasn't visible in our room. Fortunately not critical for this stay but could be frustrating for a business traveler. The mattress needs to be replaced. No support and sagged toward the center.
It is a great location in reference to the airport and the surroundings. They were eateries nearby and great places to take a walk if you're into that. The rooms were updated and very practical. They were also spacious and I love the options for connecting to the 42 inch TV. The bed was comfortable as well. The location is being developed and there is construction across the street which can be noisy.
Staff was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. I had a late check in, I called in before hand to make sure my room was held and not overbooked. The lady on the phone was rushed and said "yeah no worries we got you taken care of" When I arrived same lady said we overbooked you. Then told me to go next door to the Sheraton which was $40 more expensive.
The price was very affordable. The room size was very comfortable with: a bar, separate couch, desk area from the bed. Everything was clean, and by me traveling alone, I felt very safe even to outside and jog even though they had a fitness area. I wish there were a waffle or pancake maker (instead of pre-made pancakes). Breakfast was still ok though there were limited options, also being a Diabetic they should have had sugar free syrup, but at least breakfast was free which was nice.
Clean. Good free hot breakfast Pool was closed in evening on weekday. Not a big deal. Very nice place nonetheless
Customer service. International guests have hard time coping with U.S culture.
Proximity to Dulles Int'l Airport Free shuttle to airport beginning at 5 a.m. No amenities - I needed Tylenol/Ibuprofen badly, and there was no small shop or convenience store in the hotel. Coffee and breakfast not available until 6 a.m. Bare-bones Front desk had sign stating that their representative was out delivering something, and he was out front smoking a cigarette, peering through the window at those who were waiting to be helped.
Rooms were big and clean Breakfast has quite some choices of food and was included with the room. Free wifi!!! Location was great not far from the Dulles airport We waited for a while for airport shuttle because they work with Sheraton, so pay attention to Sheraton airport shuttle when it comes so you don't wait forever...
This was a great location, convenient to Dulles Airport and the companies I needed to visit. A shuttle is provided to and from the airport, and to local businesses to the hotel. The rooms were furnished with "well worn" 60's era furniture, uncomfortable beds, and loud air conditioners.
The hot breakfast was great. The room was very clean and spacious. The pool was closed the first day we were there. The shower pressure is very weak.
Nothing. The best I can say is it was dry and the snow was not in the room. Parking lot not plowed, very poor English spoken by staff, noisy families everywhere and my credit card # was used in a fraudulent transaction several days after my stay, at a facility very close to the hotel. I can only assume the # was stolen during my stay when i used the card at the hotel.
Great hotel . great staff.
The staff sucked and the hotel had all kinds of problems, will never stay there again!
the bed was very soft and everything was neat and clean. The breakfast was very nice too. na
Clean and quite Breakfast service
The employees seemed really pleasant, the room was nice for the price, and everything was functioning. Although I appreciated the house staff's eagerness to clean the room, they opened my locked down (so that it would slam on the locked latch) in 15 minute increments from 10:45am to 12pm (check-out time). I'm usually up and gone by this time, but had woken up at 5am for a conference and was hoping to catch a nap before heading out. I understand there are many rooms to clean before check out and opening the door once or twice is an error, but five times was a little excessive/disruptive.
They are close to George Mason University so there were visiting athletic teams that stayed at the hotel. Everyone was polite, but it made for busy breakfast time.
Good location, easy to find. friendly staff, fair breakfast, above average hotel for its price.
Close to DC and Dulles airport (without the sound of planes). The staff and facilities were terrific regular prices are too expensive for senior pocket books
Nothing really bad & nother really bad. Won't stay here again tho.
I liked the fact that the staff were very helpful as soon as I got in. That made a good first impression, which was sustained throughout the stay. Just the fact that there was no dry cleaning at the weekend.
free Internet; tee and coffee at the lounge; the ambience seems to be a bit oldfashioned, but I liked the familiar feeling; room for sports I missed a natural yoghurt, without any flavours in it, at breakfast
Friendly staff & helpfull. Clean and spacious room .nice set-up internet/bussiness room. internet connection modum failed frequetly ,no eggs at breakfast.
Near the NRA museum.
The staff was cordial and attentive. The room was updated and clean. The breakfast was excellent. There was a lot of moisture in the room and the air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool.
We liked we were convenient on and off highway but without highway noise. Staff could not find our prepaid reservation for 15 minutes on check-in. Staff gave poor directions to room and ice machine; it was like they did not care to be clear enough. Ice machine was small, had a solid metal refrigerator door without handle and was back in pantry kitchen, under a work counter and all they said, twice, was it was "in there." I ahd to go around the room and try several appliances before finding it while the staff was just talking at the front desk.
Hotel was clean and the free breakfast included hot food. The location was very convenient to the Air and Space Museum at Dulles and only a short drive into downtown D.C. The first room we were given didn't have functioning heat and air. We had no difficulty getting a new room but it did separate us from the rest of our group.
Friendly staff, neatness, Breakfast.
Closeness to airport. Friendliness of staff. Breakfast area. No elevator to 2nd floor.
The staff was very nice and the room was spotless. It was also quiet for being outside condo set up.
We liked the front desk staff. Very attentive and polite. The room was clean and worked for the few hours we were there (sleeping). Room service was quite overpriced for what we got but it was decent food. The shuttle from airport to hotel was confusing and difficult to locate. Make sure to be clear on where they will pick you up. They didn't stop at. Oth locationa for us so We waited for over an hour but when it finally arrived it was fine.
The room was right where I park It didn't have the walk in shower that was described to me
Shuttle availability to airport. Breakfast offering. Coffee service late in the day.
Exceptional service, staff friendliness and room maintenance. I would definitely stay again.
Friendly staff. Airport shuttle. Clean and big room. Nice breakfast. Not too many places near around to do something during the day.
Couldn't shower before I left because of no hot water. That should at least be the basic. You can mess almost everything else up but really no hot water? Very annoying.
very very run down
I went on a trip for a conference with my parents. The facility looked okay but a bit dated. There is a problem if you have a car since the parking is not readily available. The staff were helpful and beds were comfortable I booked in advance and despite I arrived 6 hours after my planned time my room was not ready! We had to wait for 30 minutes to get an available room. I asked for easy access since I have an old mother with me, but the room was on the 9th floor!! Far from everything. I booked and paid for a fridge but our food went bad because it didn't arrive until the next day despite multiple reminders! The floor at the room has some red stains not sure from what! That is after waiting for it.. People at the front desk were okay, but I would avoid it if there are other options .. Stayed at the Hyatt in the past and had better experience
Great price. Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff They confused the reservation then confused it again. It was a bit of a hasstle but it worked out OK. It would have been more helpful if Booking.com had information about the reservation on the email.
Lots of nearby grocery stores and food chains. Very close to silver line train (metro). Amazing view. Friendly staff. Outdoor pool is closed. Stains on the carpet and towels.
We loved how friendly everyone was- housekeepers, front desk personnel, breakfast staff etc. The accommodations were perfect for us and were clean, fresh and beautiful. The grounds were perfectly landscaped and manicured. There was a pool which was immaculate, a tennis/basketball court, a large outside grill which guests could use. The complimentary breakfast went above and beyond the typical fare one finds- there were hot and cold foods and a wonderful variety. In the evenings there was something different every night served free to guests- grilled chicken one night, various appetizers another. We were very happy and had a most enjoyable stay! I cannot think of a thing we did not like!
Rooms were large and clean. Great free breakfast. Facilities very nice. Highly recommend it. Gym was way too small and limited.
Service, Food and Helpfulness was great. Clean rooms, easy access to 495 and parts East of the city. A sthort ride to Tyson Corner's Mall and fine restaurants
Not coming back. No free wifi, nothing ever communicated to me as a customer, bad customer service.
Location is walking distance from Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Corner Metro station. Rates are excellent. Facilities are very clean. No free breakfast. No free Internet. Depending on season, parking may not be free.
Friendly staff, and good accommodations during a quick business trip. Good location near the shopping mall. Wish I had more time to explore other ammenities. Hopes to be back soon, but for fun!
price breakfast. no bacon. eggs cold.
Room was humid even with ac and it smelled musty
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Convenient location. A short two minute drive to the metro making our visit to Washington DC easy. The pool area was nice but needed vacuuming.
Location Noise, breakfast was awful and the coffee taste like mud.
staff very nice, good breakfast remote didn't work but was fixed by next day.
Room, staff, breakfast
The staff were nice and it was clean. We got breakfast vouchers for the first day and the breakfast overall was good.
There was a large central pool with a fountain. The sound of falling water was audible all night just outside the door. The rooms are not on the inside of a building, but rather required outside maneuvering. I had an inside-(courtyard-)facing room, but going from room to lobby exposes a person to the elements. "Conditioning shampoo" offered in bathroom instead of separate products (i.e., not female friendly).
It is not the 4 seasons but for the price it was great. I only was there to sleep so it was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to get to good free breakfast and very nice staff. Just know what you are booking and set the appropriate expectations.
The pool area was a hit with the kids. And it's open 10-10 with a lifeguard which was great. There was a decent free breakfast. The hotel itself was clean. Front desk staff was nice. It was only 2 miles to the metro. Plenty of restaurants a short drive from the hotel. It appeared to have a truck stop in the adjacent parking lot with truckers sleeping in their cabs. It didn't feel like the safest location at night. Hotel was severely dated although it was clean so this didn't bother us. Example of the age- it even had a dusty old sign pointing toward the "night club." Lol. Aside from the front desk and the breakfast lady the staff was not friendly. Not even a hello when you walked by.
Breakfast Could be cleaner
The room had an actual kitchen with stove, dishwasher, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, sink and garbage disposal. The laundry room and fitness room has a sign that says the hours are from 6am to 10pm. I needed to do laundry and I had just arrived at 9:30pm. I was told the laundry would be open at 6am. Later, at 10:30pm, I walked by and the door was still unlocked. The next night, I forgot my laundry in the dryer and was still able to get it out at 11:45pm. The information sheet hanging in the room says the laundry is 'always open'. Which is it? The other downside for me was the lack of a common area for breakfast (or anything for that matter). The 'pantry' was available, however.
