Just 150 yards from the Duomo, Hotel Casci is very centrally located in a fifteenth century palace and boasts some original fresco ceilings: the building was house and property of the famous composer Gioacchino Rossini during the 19th century. Set in the historic centre, it is only 500 yards from the main train station, with the Gallery of the Accademia (David), the Gallery of the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and all sights, museums and monuments just a few steps away. Most theatres and Italian language schools are also located in this downtown area. The hotel can easily be reached by car, too, and the garage is only 200 yards away. All rooms are quiet and have en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, direct dialling telephone, radio,WIFI, color TV (CNN and BBC World), hairdryer, refrigerator and individual safety box. Buffet-breakfast is served in a frescoed room. Free Internet point in the hotel s coffee-shop and same day laundry service are at guests disposal as well. Free reservation service for Florence museums.
Everything about the hotel was great. The owners were lovely, the room was very clean and the location was excellent. The single room was pretty tiny but fine It alswo hada nice little balcony.
We had free WiFi which was very expensive in other hotels. Also it was family owned which gave us a homey feeling. We had a quad room and it was large and comfortable.
We had a wonderful time at Hotel Casci and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. They gave us great eating reccomendations and were very helpful with directions in getting around the city. By the time we left we felt like we were family, and can't wait to go back and see everyone again. Rooms were a great size and the bathrooms were very clean and nice with many amenites. We had a great time at Hotel Casci
The location was perfect for exploring Florence on foot. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations.
Family run hotel. Very friendly and accomodating. Hotel is very clean. Location is very good. Hotel doing some renovations, thus the outside does not look that appealing. Hotel is for the budget minded with family, who want to be in the center of Florence.
The owners are incredibly friendly and speak excellent English. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. When we could not get a taxi one evening for a dinner reservation, one of the staff actually offered to drive us! Even though we decided to take a leisurely walk to the restaurant, I was impressed with their service. A nice breakfast buffet was included as well.
The room we had was small and the bathroom so small it had a fold-up toilet! It was fine for one night but the accomodations would have been too tight for a longer stay.
Very friendly, good location.
Very friendly and supportive staff, very central location.
Helpful and friendly staff; good location
The staff of this family run hotel was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very, very clean. Great location, insulated from the noise off the street.
just a warning for some travelers: to reach this hotel you have to go up several flights of stairs. they may have had an elevator, but I'm not sure.
