This charming, family-run hotel, which dates back to 1700, has been offering warm hospitality in the heart of the historic center of Florence for 50 years.
The hotel is located just a few steps from the most important museums and monuments, and is easily accessible from the boulevards and highways surrounding the city.
A tranquil and pleasant private garden surrounds the hotel, which is located in a peaceful residential area of the city.
San Marco - Santissima Annunziata is a great choice for travelers interested in architecture, museums and art.
This is our guests' favorite part of Florence, according to independent reviews.
It is quite far from the city center. My single room was at the ground floor in the back yard of the main building. Room was very dark, with very poor ventilation and without any windows at all.
What we liked was the courtesy of the staff, the location of the hotel and the facility of the hotel car park organisation
The shower was too small and the water was running too low.
Central location. Staff always helpful and nice.
Rooms are in serious need of modernisation.
it has a great location that very nearby the city center! Staffs are all very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, the water heating machine has some problems...i was the third one who took a shower and there was already no hot water anymore...
Relatively close to the historic center
Extremely noisy. It was basically impossible to sleep there due to quite heavy traffic.
The location of the hotel, and the service
Friendly, helpful staff, spoke English fluently. The hotel is a step above a hostel, nothing fancy, but our room was clean, spartan but spacious. Bathroom also was clean, plenty of hot water and good-sized. Location is just 5 blocks from the crowded tourists spots. Breakfast was fine, juice, coffee and toast. A fine restaurant is adjacent to the hotel.
Only complaint was the lack of a lift.
The friendly staff, it was very clean (perfect for someone who is a germaphobe like me)- thank-you!!!!
The shower head was broken, noisy students early in the morning (not hotels fault)- price reduced
did not change linen
Close enough to the train station, quick bus ride. You can walk to many main sites in Florence
Online they have pictures of the new part of their hotel. So unless you want to stay in an ancient room wit no tv, or hair dryer and grungy--- make sure to ask for the new rooms.... The old ones are scary.
