Disliked valet parking and was also displeased to have to pay $15.00 per day for parking. I booked two rooms and was pleased with my view of the ocean and beach from my balcony; my son and his wife, however, had no view at all in the second room booked. Our rooms were clean, but had been told at the hot tub/pool area by others that their room left a lot to be desired. I would, however, consider using this hotel if I were in the area again.
Location was nice. Decent value. HBO. Large rooms.
15$ extra EACH night for parking is ridiculous. Had issues with charging parking to my room. Thin walls, can hear kids screaming. Rooms not as clean and they should be. Found rust in my shower. AC unit was noisy.
Peacefulness and pool with jacuzzi. Customer service as well
Paying for be sitting by the ocean. Make me feel not to be in a private area.
Rust even on the night stand w appearance of the feces, paint is bubbled on the walls, my style odor, old bedding sheets are not changed.
On the beach. Staff friendly. Shuttle van took us to where we wanted to go for a small per person charge so we didn't have to drive.
Couldn't bring own cooler to the beach. Parking fee. Sheets on bed were a bit scratchy. Had to take a piece of paper and your room key with you every time you wanted to get something from the bar. Room key would have been just fine.
There really is no better location in the Fort Lauderdale area. A very standard Hotel, not luxurious, but the pool and the hot tub and the beach are fantastic. We've done five vacations here. Very family friendly hotel, expect children playing in the pool. This is not a quiet getaway but more of a fun time
The location is very good it's just some steps from the beach and also it has many option to go eat outside the hotel
The security outside instead of checking who has a cooler going to the beach with beer could start checking for the safety of the guest on the pool instead, also there is no music outside in the pool area and the bar is not good at all. The American coffe matching was broken and the coffee was not good
This hotel is right on the beach on a quieter stretch of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, so it is good for families and those who don't want to hassle with finding public beach access.
The room was clean, but a little dated (microwave, furniture just didn't look modern). According to a local, the hotel was torn up by the last hurricane so a lot has been remodeled (the lobby, elevators), but the rooms could use some updating. The concierge was very nice, the check-in desk staff were very competent but could be nicer. The tiki bar/pool area was closed after dark. The pool I get, but there is a hot-tub that would have been nice to use as the day cooled off. I was surprised the bar was closed, we were going to get drinks but that wasn't an option. Seems like a lot of lost revenue.
Very close to the beach...the pool and jacuzzi are nice ...great location centered around food and shops
My biggest complaint is the mattress....way to soft....the tv is small ..The balcony door rattles..
It was an average hotel which was beachfront. That was the best part considering the nightly cost, it was decent. Nothing special.
Rooms were not very clean: patched walls, tile work in bathroom with grout poorly covering up areas that were being worked on. Construction in the hallway kept us from sleeping in late.
Price and location.
No sun at the pool except at high noon. And they charge for the spots that have sun all day. Bar tender measured a glass of wine out by ounce and said 5 ounces was close enough to 6! It's old and needs updating. Also, no breakfast at all. The little restaurant they had wanted $10 for only a Ham and cheese omelette. staff at the front counter was lost. The valet at the hotel actually did very good. Elevators were newer and nice also. And the pool was actually nice along with the hot tub. It's just they're going to nickel and dime you to death even charging for the only spots that have sun around the pool.
The price. The beach location is very nice.
We were never told the pool was CLOSED for complete redo and only offered 2 drinks as compensation. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors. Also, surprise charge of $15/day to self-park.
The pool was closed for maintenance and it's been for months, no playground in the beach like the pictures show and got stuck in the elevator and all the front desk guy said was oh I am sorry to hear that
Easy access to the beach
Have to pay parking, did not clean well, rude staff
rates seemed to change every day nobody used any of the restaurants, why?
