Hidden fees killed the experience
Loved the hotel, clean and had a great room overlooking FTL beach
Surpise $35 a day resort fee, super overpriced room service, and crazy overpriced gift shop completely ruined the experience for me. They will gouge you when you get here. Stay away!
- Broken elevators, so one had to go twice as long to get to the beach. - Unexpected $40 resort fees which did not even include beach umbrellas. - Lack of bathroom privacy in the room. Who in its right mind puts a window facing the room in the bathroom with only a small plank shutter. Overall this is a mediocre hotel at best. There are much better choices nearby like Hilton and W.
Excellent customer service , awesome ocean view!
The rooms are beautiful and very convenient walk across to the beach.
Nothing! It was amazing!
Great place to stay
The staff was courteous and friendly. The Location is perfect for anyone that enjoys being on the beach.
No self parking and Valet was a bit to high in price.
Outstanding front desk staff. Friend, professional and appreciative to have you as a customer. Very clean and value for the money. Will definitely return.
Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort Scam-ish
The room was quiet and clean and had the usual Westin amenities.
No one was at the elevator to the beach so anyone could use the pool and they did. It was ridiculously crowded with people not even staying at the hotel. I had the choice to pay more for a resort fee (35.00+10.00) for chairs on the beach except there were none. The bathroom door was a slider w a 2" gap along w shutters that faced the room which didn't close properly so little privacy in the restroom. The carpet was worn and rippled. The worst of it was the parking: 39.00 a day but at 9pm my partner was called into work. I wanted to return alone but they informed me I'd pay 39.00 + 25.00 for the time we had been there. 64.00 for one day is ridiculous. No self parking, so one is at the mercy of the valet Mafia. Never again. I am a Starwood member and have stayed at many of their properties but this was the worst experience I've ever had.
they upgraded my room! They are nice loved them
Judy was fantastic.
Cost of drinks.
Great Hotel and the staff was AMAZING!
We were greeted as we got out of the car and as soon as you walk into the hotel there was fresh fruit infused water and Olympic cookies. Room was clean and big enough for our group. The pool staff was SUPERB! Our waiter, Emanuel, always made sure we were taken care of and Judy made sure we always had the best seats by the pool. The gym was well equipped and even offered cold towels and fruit. Plus there was a great view of the ocean. My group will stay here every time we are in the area!
$30 a day resort fee.
Great location and service, WATCH OUT FOR FEES
The location was great, was never loud in the area. Beach is right out the front door. Great food within .5 mile walk. walk down to Las Olas for food and fun.
For a young couple, we still paid about 2x as much as our kayak rental. It is $40 a day to park your car, and it's only valet, it's unlimited use of your car, but then you add tips. There is a resort fee not included, which is not too expensive. And we did choose to pay $25 extra a night for a view, which was worth it. Pool food is not great, and service is slow-- but go down to Las Olas for food and fun.
2 day staycation
Great ocean view good location
Resort hits you with lots of fees
Good for kids but expensive
Pool, easy access to beach, towel and toy rental, away from restaurant/bar strip, walking distance to cvs for essentials and alcohol, easy access to Sun Trolley and bus to get to stores, museum, downtown.
Expensive, resort fee, in-house restaurants served bad food and were very expensive, no close by family friendly cheaper food options, expensive beach chair and umbrella rentals, far from grocery store and other shopping
