Super place absolutely beautiful and nice touches. Loved having the use of the bikes and great to have the option of a lift into town and back in the evenings :) Cindy was really helpful and friendly.
Nothing, absolutely great.
Breakfast was great, friendly staff member who went out of her way to accommodate an early departure long before breakfast hours.
Perfect perfect and perfect
Great room with amazing views, and access via the French doors to the wonderful landscaped gardens, and a terrace where you could eat your breakfast. The room was very well equipped, and had complimentary wine and water. The location was excellent and very easy to get into town. They even offer a free shuttle service. Generous breakfast with lots of options and freshly cooked hot food to order.
We stayed at Franschhoek Manor for the last 2 nights of a recent 2-week holiday to South Africa. We stayed at numerous guesthouses during our stay and this was our favourite. The house and gardens are stunning. As well as the large pool (there are 2 pools in total) and surrounding terraces there are little secret seating areas hidden about the garden including double swinging daybeds to relax on and enjoy the beauty of the planting. A true oasis of calm! The house itself is wonderful with a large inviting lounge and dining area for the use of guests with the added bonus of an honesty bar.. Our room was luxurious with a huge, modern 4 poster super-comfy bed. It was triple aspect with double doors on both sides each leading out to the 2 pools. It had the largest en-suite I have ever had in a hotel or guesthouse, and not forgetting the complimetary coffee, tea, wine, water fruit . . . The lovely owner, Christina was extremely welcoming and very helpful booking restaurants and transport when we needed them! Her team, led by the very capable Cindy, were friendly yet discreet.
That we had only booked 2 nights.
Visitors to Franschhoek will find that the Franschhoek Manor is a fantastic accommodation choice. It's easy to keep connected with the property's Wi-Fi in designated areas. Sightseeing in the area is easy, with The Huguenot Memorial Monument and Huguenot Memorial Museum both nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For guests' convenience, airport pickup can be arranged. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
