Wonderful service, comfortable room, absolutely outstanding food, both at dinner and breakfast - a smooth, comfortable and very enjoyable experience altogether. Nothing to dislike
very relaxing environment with golf course and sea views excellent spa facilities comfortable walk into town with area very quiet and peacefull in october we only experienced one evening meal food of very high quality well presented but with huge delays from order and through each course for whatever reason /not advised /good job we were in no hurry !!!
We loved the view. We were there such a short amount of time that we don't have too much to say. The hotel is very beautiful and we wished that we could have stayed longer.
Proximity to the beach and town Smallish bedroom with limited views, ageing decor
Relaxing in the beautiful lounge, with views to the Firth of Forth, is a must! Our room was very spacious and excellent value for money. I was surprised that there was no free WiFi access.
Convenient for golf. The bedroom was small particularly the bathroom
I very much enjyed using the thermal suite, also found all the staff most polite and helpful. Although the room I had was comfortable, the bathroom area was a little cramped.
Hotel Rooms were to warm
The hotel's situation and outlook. The spa facilities. Our room was spacious and had very good views but the ensuite had 7 cracked tiles and a very large crack in the wash hand basin. Service at breakfast on day one was exceptionally poor. Disappointed I could not obtain an appointment for a massage.
The facilities were lovely and the Hotel was beautiful - everything was clearly refurbished to high standard THe hotel room was cold in May so I would hate to stay there in December! The staff ignored us the first evening due to the volume of guest however they made up for it the rest of our stay.
The quality of the staff, facilities and welcolme
Setting, room, staff, restaurant
We were upgraded at no extra cost. The staff were fantastic and we had a great time. It was very relaxing. There was a strong smell of sewage in the corridor outside our room
It is a magical place in a beautiful setting. The food was particularly good.
The dining experience in the Dungeon Restaurant was exaemplary. Presentation , quality and service were al excellent. We had booked into the lodge but were upgraded to a themed suite which was a lovely surprise.
Quiet, beautiful location but within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh.
Very luxurious, comfortable, friendly, food lovely & staff very helpful.
It was a great venue and a lovely setting for a wedding.
Room needs renovation but the fact you are in a castle makes it feel nicer.
Very attentive staff when nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent including a full Scottish breakfast. The hotel upgraded me due to the snow at no extra charge and even helped dig me out in the morning. I could not have asked for more The weather!!!
the restful ambience, situation and proprieters of guest house and was a good base for exploring the surrounding tourist destinations as well as the places of interest a little more off the beaten track.
we were received a warm welcome and the hotel was in a lovely tranquill location.
From the artistic breakfast to the glorious views, the friendly, charming hosts made us feel right at home.
Owners of the one green hope cottage were such lovely people and made our stay very personal. £75 is probably too much to pay for a night as I would love to stay there a week but that would be very pricey! Maybe a deal for more than two nights would be good for marketing.
Quiet and restful, fabulous scenery, excellent breakfasts.
We absolutely loved the whole package - things could not have been easier for us - the friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the whole area was amazing No
Exellent quiet location. Good local walking
The owners bill and alison were very friendly people the location was excellent the service was firstclass we would stay again
Loved the gardens! the rooms were wonderful, large, comfortable. Wifi was spotty, but we weren't there on business. Strategically located for nearby golf courses and visiting castles, Greywalls is a fabulous spot for anyone visiting the Scottish coast. 20 minutes from St.Andrews, not far from Edinburgh, it is a hotel we would return to in an instant and try to stay longer. The staff did everything they could to make us comfortable and to help us celebrate a 60th birthday in our family. We had a tour of the gardens from the head gardener himself who couldn't have been nicer. This was the highlight of our trip. Highest recommendations!
The peaceful surroundings and the atmosphere of almost being at home.
I was really amazing place, calm and relax! No bus stop near hotel
Staff were excellent, food was excellent what a great place I will be back
charming place, service and staff was excellent
Food is exceptional. None
Clean rooms, good breakfast Beds are only covered with a sheet and thin coversheet, wich is quite cold in a winter/autumn.
Perfect hotel for overnight stay, room basic but clean, windows not double glazed, so noise from main street of which there was a lot later on. Restaurant good, easy to find. once inside there was nothing particularly homely and it did feel slightly old . Our room was very cold with all old furniture but nothing to make it feel more comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and the food in the restuarant was excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. We noticed some of the room numbers were missing from the doors and had been filled in with a pen!! Not a good first impression. Our room was slightly dated with furniture from the 1980's and the shower also dated from that time. Not alot of money needed to be spent on updating this room to the 21st centuary.
value for money and the staff were 1st class
Nothing really. Staff never here to help you, location, price incredibly high for such a poor comfort. Definitely one of the worst hotel my girlfriend and I have never been too. And we're not this kind that complains all the time.
The good & nice friendly staff Need of a resedent lounge
The staff were very helpful the bar area would rather there was a seperate lounge bar
Good food, friendly staff, comfortable room. Limited parking.
The staff were very friendly and the breakfast on sunday was excellent with good localy sourced produce
the kindness of the stuff, the quiet and and close to the city of Edinburgh area. The cleanliness of the room was pretty poor. It seemed that it has been vacuumed a long time ago and dust was everywhere. The cups, cofee pot and boiler were not clean (remainings from tea inside). I did not mentioned that to the personnel because I did not want to to argue with nobody looking or mooving to another room. For all the othee reasons I mentioned above, I would recomented the hotel to others.
very nhelpful staff and food was very good
Staff very friendly. Nice and cosy bar and restaurant. Food very nice. The beds were terrible and needed throwing out. The rest of the room was lovely.
A very friendly welcome.Good parking. Good choice of bar meals. No lift.
John, Harvey and Roz were great hosts. Very friendly.
No additional charge for internet use (Some Hotels charge £5 / Hr I will not pay & avoid those Hotels) This Hotel has installed Flat screen Free View TV's Radiator in room did not work And the new desk light on the dresser had no socket to plug it into
Friendly staff, Good breakfast! And plenty parking. Beds could do with a new matress, bathroom a little dated but very clean
Friendly staff on the whole; made to feel welcome
staff, food, comfort no
It was a convenient location for our purposes. The hotel needs an overhall. It is tired and dated. The furniture has seen better days.
All staff very friendly and helpful, from cleaners to reception. Room clean, bright and with plenty of space, same with the en-suite, and best of all a good nights sleep Not really a dislike but breakfast/dinner was in the Pub next door - you would get wet if its raining.
The whole hotel including rooms were spotless. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definately recommend and use again
Rooms very clean, ample parking, disabled bathroom well equipped, quiet. Breakfast christmas day and boxing day only available on room service at 10am had we known this we would have cancelled breakfast for these two mornings. The ramps outside the hotel and access to Brewers Fayre had not been cleared of snow
The location to the A1 road and ease of finding it you and because I have stayed with Premier Inn before you know what you are going to get when you get there Breakfast
liked where the hotel was.Food was good value for money. Has character that other premier inns lack due to the building in which beefeater is situated, bit pricey compared to your Lenny Henry advertisement of from £29!!!!
The room was comfortable and day staff helpful however the food at the adjacent Brewers was awful. The food
Clean. Comfortable. Friendly. Helpful. Good, fair priced food. Easy to travel into Edinburgh on park and ride. Good location.
Nothing Very expensive for a very cheap hotel and there was nothing we liked about it. We checked out after one night.
It was a convenient stopping point halfway through a long journey and was clean, comfortable with a convenient restaurant next door and reasonably priced.
Great location-staff lovely and helpful.clean,comfortable.Good place to eat next door.Brewers Fare but food was very good. Think breakfast could be included when its £63. per night.Different when its only £29,per night!Which I have never got yet!!!!!!!!!!We do a lot of travelling and having the breakfast included in the price, would be a big plus.
