The room was very clean and the property was charming, with beautiful gardens. The location was very convenient to walk through the lovely little town. The staff was very friendly.
The room was very tasteful and the bathroom was huge but it had a louvered door that offered very little privacy. If you were sitting on the bed you could basically hear, etc everything (sorry to be so blunt). Also, we booked the property for the restaurant which turns out to be closed on Monday and Tuesday. When I asked if we could buy two glasses of wine to sit and enjoy the beautiful patio/gardens we were told the bar was also closed which seemed a bit ridiculous that a staff member wasn't allowed to arrange for a glass of wine (there are no shops in town and the mini-bar didn't contain wine or beer). We picked the hotel because I thought the bar/restaurant would make our first evening in country after a long day of travel very easy and relaxing. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in and I didn't think it was worth the money, but might feel different if we were there a different day of the week.
Restaurant is brilliant. Staff welcoming and efficient. Location and surroundings are near perfect.
Would prefer a bathroom door that is not louvre
Serene location and gorgeous accommodation. The bed was ultra comfortable. Staff were very helpful.
The breakfast seems expensive and could be included in the room tariff.
Decrepid stairs to lug bags to room. Circular staircase with uneven landings, no solid railing was quite dangerous
