The hotel is not perfectly located on the Nile, but it is one third of the price of the perfectly located hotels, and I found the location super-interesting. The hotel is clean and very well maintained and staffed, and it has the best gift store of the 20 or so I scanned in Cairo. I definately recommend Safir as a budget alternative to the classic five stars (Grand Hyatt, Kempinski, etc)
Good Breakfast, River Nile was in a close proximity, Courteous Staff. No water for one day as there was a muncipal problem in the entire area and this was the day we checked-out for our onward journey. So we had the minimum impact. However other travellers were having quite a problem.
Great Breakfast My room was very noisy. It was on a top floor, and motors on the roof kept me awake all night. Bar downstairs has an undisclosed minimum spend requirement.
The rooms were large and clean. The bed was comfortable. The pool area was nice with cushions laid out for comfort. We did not get a chance to use the pool but it looked inviting. Breakfast buffet had a wide selection. Food was good.
Clean and comfortable with excellent staff.
we enjoyed the evengn music sessons
My room was ok. But bath room is very dirty and unusuable.water is not come well and waist is not going well.service was very very poor.u took da money on 5star. But this is not reached 3star level.sorry.
good location, closer to opera house. chance to see Egyptian wedding they didn`t clean my room properly during my stay and offered amenities only for the first night, hotel limousine charged more than 10times of local taxi
location rooms do not look like a five star hotel rooms tv channels are lemited and not possible to add your favorate channels although i asked to add some channels but with no response..
The staff and the room the elavators were very busy all the time
I was made to comply on your non-professional cooperation and organisation. We ordered transfer from airport in advance, which was confirmed by Samia Abotaleb but nobody arrived for us. At the reception desk nobody speaked english during our stay (15-21.2.). We sent the credit card details for charging in advance to Samia and at the reception they did not have it and asked us to pay the room.
Very good The only one thing that did not made me unhappyis the booking and availability of the room. I booked a room that faces the nile ,however, they gave me a room that does not face the nile for the first night as they said they do not have a vailable nile views rooms even though my booking specifies that clearly. No money imbursement was made for the difference.
hotel facilites needs updating
Location Check in and out very slow
Location Check in Services
Nothing Very bad stuff and also nothing belong to reality mentioned about this hotel in internet ( no casino , no club and also not related to nile hotels ) . No professional survice like i could not have key for my room , and everytime i want to inter my room , must go to reception . Was very bad hotel and i am really upset .
The hotel not cleaning at all and the services too poor and I will never ever stay in this hotel next time Nothing
I like only car drivers stuff and bell man. Not clean,no washing water for two days, bad smell every ware, not ready for handy cap, always busy with bus's,bad room service,no commitment for nile view, elevator delay for ten minuts, cheap firnuter, cheep tv,cheap doors for rooms, rusty windows, foront disk stuff cheeting guest, bad food, bad house keeping, dirty toilet, dirty showers, dirty towels...etc
I chose this place on a low cost basis and had some doubts about what I'd get, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed. Every room is different, and the air conditioners, TVs, etc are different too. But I was cool enough, things worked in my room and the wifi was on constantly, though there were periodic signal failures. But I've had that problem in much more expensive hotels! The basic room I had did not have a private bath, and I don't know if any rooms are self-contained. There is no restaurant or coffee shop inside this small hotel, but on the plus side there is a kitchen that guests can use, including a common fridge. There is a small convenience store right next to the hotel. Overall it is a friendly, home-like place. The hotel is on the 6th floor of a high rise building and is reached by one of those tiny Egyptian elevators. Star Plaza seems to have no sign on the street; maybe they should think about putting one up so guests don't have to wonder where the door is when they get out of their taxi. The night shift guy is great and speaks English. However the day shift attendant, although polite, speaks almost no English. Any complicated questions are best saved till 5 pm when the night guy comes to work.
The hotel is located in avery good position. the breakfast is good. Airconditioning system need to be improved.
The location and the staff. Nothing, everything was fine. Except maybe the hotel breakfast. :)
Security, one of the police man available at the main door 24/7. the breakfast is okay (2 of 5 star). Also the location is very easy to get a taxi. The room was old and fare away from the picture in the website (it's old photo showing the hotel and rooms in the past) it's very old now and the bed is too small. We use the hotel for sleeping only. We ask for one extra day and the charge us higher price. It's one star hotel and something expected in Cairo
Break fast. cleaning. The hotel is located in avery good position. Air conditioning need to be improved.
Good price (standard room) and location The breakfast, (poor, boring, lack of variety). Some carpets and blancket aren´t very clean. Bad plombing´s mantenaince. The quality´s difference betwen standard, superior and executive room isn´t in accordance with the price. Lack of safeboxes at the room.
the hotel was clean and had fair breakfast!! according to my experience, this hotel should be less than 3 stars hotel , thier facilities are poor and very old
Location, Price and also that next to the hotel there is a shop (Roseta Papyros) that organize tours arround the city for an excelent price. Don't take taxi just organize with them a private car and you will spend less than taxis. It was a spectacular trip and there is nothing to complaim.
Low rates and location standard was not as mentioned on the website.... Fridge in the room did not work, TV was a century old with CNN as the only English channel. Above all things Internet signals did not work in the room... so you cannot rely on that to get connected for checking emails etc.
the tv channel is little and not clear
Old world charm at a budget price
The location is quite good the problem is the neighbourhood... not good at all. The first room given was pretty bad, but we asked for other, which was a bit better. Air conditioner doesn't work properly.
just the price of the room was good the room is dirty no satelite
The location of the hotel is very good.
Good location, friendly staff No free internret as advertised, dirty rooms, broken lifts constantly making it difficult to ferry luggage up and down
Hotel was convenient for our needs nothing fancy just b&b
Hospitality of the staff , Comfort of the hotel. Very neat hotel. Good breakfast etc. Just that it appears to be a bit far from the city center. But as mentioned earlier, availability of vehicle though at a cheap rate would be a good advantage.
their breakfast nothing special
It was short and they picked me up from the airport after midnight the bathroom was dirty, the shower didn't work and the towels smelt musty
Very nice 3* Hotel nearby down-town of Cairo. The breakfast is amazing, staff is very friendly and helpful. Don't miss a chance to relax on the roof-top bar!
Friendly manner of some of the reception staff (porter in particular). Good value Poor level of maintenance - especially bathroom
