The Hertz process for extending your vehicle is very difficult - anything after 6pm is very difficult to contact support and speak with an actual human - the automated call center is extremely frustrating as it continuously prompts you deal with it online, and when trying to do online bookings/ vehicle rental extensions, it routes you back to call the same call center number -UGH what a nightmare! Ended up charging me for 2 extra days - smacking me with huge overage fees and additional $200 deposits. All other parts of this rental experience were relatively nice.

The service at hertz could have been better. The women behind the desk didn’t explain a lot. I found out that I had paid a additional 250 dollars. I had to find out myself that I get this money back when returning the car. It was nice if they had told this to me.

Pros:

Nothing I couldn’t even pick up my rental and they had my reservation canceled

Cons:

Being up front with their fees, I went in with the misguided notion that my reservation would be honored at the amount agreed on. Instead I was charged my reservation amount with an additional “company policy fee” of $400 on top of what I was already paying for the actual rental. My $300 rental had now come out to over $700. I almost missed my own mother’s funeral. Thank you for your service Alamo!

The staff was friendly and the airport was very small. The car was newer too.

Cons:

Stop pushing the insurance. Every insurance company I have ever had covers me as a driver in ANY vehicle.

pick up was easy. as well as drop off. friendly staff. As reported, it had mechanical issues- failed back up camera, radio did not work. couldn't figure out doom light to come on when opeing door and so dark had hard time finding even key hole. tried different things. Called hoping to find easy fix with camera and radio and was refered back and forth to emergency road service, which I did not need, and to someone taking calls to place of pick up and back to number for service, and back again and then told to bring it in and exchange cars, but it was now after hours and I just gave up driving it that way.

Easy drop off. Great gas mileage.

Cons:

Car was filthy at pickup. “Maintenance required” indicator light every time car was started. Flat tire I had to resolve on my own. Paid for Premium (“Maxima or similar) and was assigned mid-sized Rav4.

At drop off point a mile from airport we were going to have to get a ride to the airport. The agent told us we could drop the car at the airport and save us from getting a ride. He was very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful. They dug out the car after a snow storm without complaint. Had the car ready to go.

Cons:

I was not familiar with the car, a little tutorial would have been the cherry on top. Otherwise, it was a positive experience.

Nothing. They didn't have a car for me. I booked online, I payed the deposit, I showed up to pick up the car and they told me they didn't have anything for me, that they wouldn't honor my booking, wouldn't refund my deposit, and I was forced to spend $250 to buy a ticket for a 26 minute flight.

Cons:

Everything. Having the car that I booked, and if not, refunding the deposit.

Staff fixed the issue but had to be insistent

Cons:

Budget allows you to reserve cars for 1pm and later at the 1426 E Rte 66 Ste 101, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 location, and when you arrive at the airport they will tell you that this location closes at 1pm, therefore you will have to rent your car from the airport with a +25% airport fee. In my opinion that's downright fraudulent. You should not be allowed to reserve a car for a time that does not exist, essentially forcing you to rent from the airport
