Some of the activities: especially snow tubing Christmas lights: amazing views Central atrium view: just beautiful
Cleanliness: the bathroom wasn't clean enough. Luckily the water was draining well but it seemed like my old apartment. Money: although 4 star hotel, didn't meet their standards in cleanliness Customer Service: Long waits to a point I didn't want to ask my questions or convey concerns or my needs (ex, soap/my wife needing shower cap, make-up removal, etc)
Clean and nice.
I wish restaurants were open on the days we were there, not only two days a week.. Had to ask for two cribs twice, still only got one initially.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly and very helpful even though they were working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I was especially pleased with the service in the Silver Bar on Christmas Eve evening. The two young ladies did a fantastic job.
I stayed at the hotel at the busiest time of the year, 23-26 December. The wait to park at the hotel and to check in were extreme. The wait was about 30-45 minutes waiting in line of cars to get up to the lobby and to valet. Then, it was another 30 minute wait to check in.
Meals are expensive, but great food too.
Great place for meeting and family
Huge resort with everything you can imagine all in one place
Texas always finds a way to impress, and the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center is no exception. It is perched on the shores of Lake Grapevine and boasts four and a half acres of indoor gardens. There is also a water park and two pools. This is way more than just a hotel. Guests have many options for escaping the rat race as well as experiencing something new and exciting.
In addition to the impressive grounds and outdoor activities, Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center has 10 restaurants, and each one has a menu fit for a variety of different tastes. Texan cuisine at its finest is featured with succulent ribs and other barbequed meats. In addition, there are international options, all served with the largesse of the Lone Star State.
The rooms, like the hotel, are spacious, offering guests the chance to spread out and relax. For relaxation at a whole other level, guests can take advantage of the Relache Spa and Salon. With options designed to cater to the individual needs of each guest, the spa is a great way to rub away the concerns of the day and prepare for a great night. The spa even features an on-site lap pool for a zero-impact workout. Guests also have the option of getting advice via fitness counseling at the spa.
In addition, there are over 490,000 square feet of event space that can be custom-arranged to meet a wide array of event needs.
Even though Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center is huge, it offers the kind of individual attention to personal detail that makes the experience both special and unique.
