It was close to the city centre, and the breakfast was good and good value. It was also available at a time when there was pressure on accomodation in the city The room was run down and some things did not work properly.
Central would be the key for me Yes, there was a bus load young people. They were making a lot of noise in the passage way. I had to get up and ask them to be considerate to others.
small double bed, pillows to thick. No sky tv,other channels hazey
Staff were excellent, room clean and tidy. Description on website indicated free wireless internet, however, there w was no wireless internet available on site, just one computer in the office and a $10 per hour charge.
Sorry but we did not like our stay there at all. It is one thing to have an old run down motel but it is another when there is holes in the carpet from age and the bath have holes as well.
Definately enjoyed the stay, Staff very welcoming and understanding. Plenty of room Deck was in disgusting order. Moss all over the place. Carpet seemed worn in and Old.
It was lovely to return to the room which had been nicely serviced. Really handy for supermarket which was great just that it was on a very busy road
It provided shelter from the rain. With a plug in heater the area was warm As a senior citizen I found the concrete steps leading up to the flat rather narrow. The tap arrangement combined for both bath and shower was rather confusing. Altogether outdated.
The breakfast was excellent and the bed was comfortable and the size was good For the price even at normal price of $105 I would not stay again. The rooms all need revamping. The wallpaper was ripped and the boards around the main door were not even painted. The office staff were scruffy and not well presented.
The satff especially the wife have a very poor grasp of engilsh, we were up all night with people yelling and drinking and reving cars right outside our door till 5 am, in the morning the entire complex was littered with bottles and cans, I went to the office to get arefund and they did not come to the counter
the spa in the room the internet
loved the cleanliness and the non-interference of the staff no
Best price I could find for a one night stopover when there was a huge event on at Karapiro near Hamilton that weekend I don't think there was a heater in the motel
There were great amenities available in the room: tv, fridge, microwave, toaster, silverware, towels, heater, etc. This makes it a perfect place for a longer stay if you're on a budget. The decor seems a little dated, but it's just the decor and doesn't affect my sleep or stay.
the 2 staff we met were informative and friendly I read somewhere that the hotel was due for a refurbish, I would defenitely agree that that is required. Disappointed in the standard of the hotel overall, for the money I paid I would have expected a higher standard. We have stayed in a lot of motels/hotels in NZ for a similar tariff and have experienced much higher standards. In particular the bathroom was dated and shabby although functional.
Very helpful and cheerful staff/owners.Had left jacket behind and they phoned me about it before I had even missed it. Quiet despite location on busy street. Two bedroom unit small and shower/toilet facility tiny.Bad lighting and dark room with small windows.
staff were courteous and location was good. Floor in bathroom was filthy - my feet were black when walking on it for a short time. Therefore, I felt uncomfortable about everything else. Pillows were also way past their use by date.
spa in unit Very soft bed! and no hot water after 1 spa fill. sink a bit dirty and old
Only concern was to wake up in the morning to find our door open, when I knew it was firmly closed and was still closed between 3 and 4 in the morning
Friendly helpful staff. Dinner was tasty with generous portions. Comfortable affordable stay.
