Breakfast was tasty with lots to choose from, at a time to suit us! We were very happy with our stay and would definitely return!
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff pleasant, nice garden, nice little room touches ie sherry, robe, water, hot drinks, close to airport

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, nice staff and fab breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautiful brick with ivy and lots of character in a country setting only 10 minutes from Manchester airport, the home-cooked breakfast was excellent (I had scrambled eggs on toast with big juicy mushrooms), the staff was attentive, and the pub nearby was a pleasant place to relax and eat after an evening walk across the river and through the fields.
7.0 Good
Pros: Did not have breakfast. The double bed was a ok not a lot of room too move around the room maybe a smaller chair.
Cons: Sadly when we stayed there was flooding which cut off the power in the early afternoon. Which meant we could not have any hot drinks or a shower plus in the dark as nobody came to our aid until the morning with a small light by which time the power was on the next day in the afternoon.

Pros: The house is positioned very close to MAN airport (10 minutes) so it's the perfect place to stay when flying in or out from this airport. Very friendly host, communicates clearly. Flexible breakfast times (starting early if needed!). The breakfast itself was perfect as well, cooked to order and checked if anything else/more was needed. Fresh fruit available. Furthermore the whole house as a nice and relaxed atmosphere. I loved the view from my room over the countryside. I would for sure return!
Cons: Cannot think of anything what was negative for me. Only the WIFI was a bit unstable in the evening.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a proper farm! In a gorgeous location. Yeah it’s on the flight path out of Manchester airport but the stunning location means you don’t notice. We booked it as we were attending an event at Tatton Park and it was perfect! The room was just lovely and cosy. The bed was comfy and really snug. Towelling robes, fluffy towels. The en-suite was very snug but had everything we needed. The breakfast was great! Cooked full English with toast along with jams, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal etc. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Love to support a farm rather than a chain hotel.
Cons: The farmhouse was built several hundred years ago, so some door frames are low and require ducking!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome, Sharon is the perfect host! There is a seating area in the garden, that we took full advantage of when we arrived and it was sunny! Birtles Farm also has a lovely residents lounge, which is very comfy and cosy. We had booked two rooms, both of which were spotlessly clean, and the beds very very comfy. Breakfast is a real treat with a great choice of cereals, homemade muesli, yoghurts and fruit, and the cooked breakfast was gorgeous and set us up for the day!
Cons: Couldn’t fault a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to stay, quiet, lovely gardens and setting. Room was immaculate and comfy, Sharon was very kind and welcoming. Would deffo stay again!

The breskfast were prepared with love. They made sure you are satisfied with what they are offering. The place is more magnificent due to these lovely owners
5.0 Okay
Pros: Owners were very welcoming & breakfast was excellent
Cons: We had a swarm of ants (Flying & crawling) in our room which the owner did try to get rid of with some sort of insecticide spray which triggered a coughing asthma attack with my little boy that we were able to deal with using his own medication. I did inform the owner the following morning that I wasn’t happy as none of us got hardly any sleep because my children were not happy to sleep in a room infested with ants. I felt that the least the owner could’ve done was move us into other rooms especially as it seemed evident in the morning that the guest house was only half full. I was not offered any discount for the ant problem so because of the ants, I will not be returning to this guesthouse.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beautiful house, the rooms decorated with assortment of books (for avid readers), lovely & spacious space( with a fine touch) & topping it all off with sprinkles of French culture! Simple and yet elegantly done!!! The owners made us feel incredibly at home. Cons: The Resurant and bedrooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room very quirky. Staff very helpful and breakfasts lovely. Food all cooked to order so took a little longer than usual, but well worth the wait. Room at the front of the pub, but very little disturbance, all quiet after about 10 pm. Loved it and would definitely go again
Cons: Not sure about the bath in the bedroom, but different! Would have liked tea and coffee in the room instead of just outside, but could have asked the staff to make it.Parking can be very difficult as both pubs always busy. Time it right and it is fine. No draws to unpack if staying for more then 1-2 days and only hooks to hang things up. No tv so missed tennis and cricket final!!

Pros: Welcoming and accommodating staff, even though they were busy running around with so many people outside. Baby roast chicken and frites was hot and tasty. Reasonably priced wine list
Cons: First room had no shower, which I hadn’t seen when booking, but they moved me straight away. Dropped something on floor and had to move sofa - very dusty underneath! No hanging space in either room, that I could find. I live quite remotely and was not prepared for proximity of Manchester airport and the noise of the planes!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet location room was beautifully decorated
Cons: The bed was small

Pros: I did not have the breakfast therefore cannot comment on this service, the location was good.
Cons: I booked 3 separate rooms for myself and family. Although we were all on the one floor there was one room which was quite a bit away from the other 2 rooms. This was a bit of a disappointment. The room that was separted from the other two rooms was very small and a weird shape. The family in the small room all felt a bit claustrophobic. We were all disappointed that the windows could not be opened in any of our rooms. I know this would be for health and Safety reasons however I think if the windows could be opened slightly to let fresh air in that would have helped.

Pros: The tower suite we stayed in was amazing. A little gem of a hotel.
Cons: Pillows were far to chunky. Great for sitting up in bed watching telly but not for resting your head and sleeping on. Literally my only comment for feedback. Loved every minute of our stay.

Pros: The food is amazing. Make sure you get dinner here and breakfast! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was a good size.
Cons: We were asked at check in if we wanted a paper for the morning, we did but we didn't get it. Although this is a minor thing, the hotel should be on top of this sort of thing. The breakfast was amazing, but there was only one waitress and she was rushed off her feet and kept forgetting things. The check in process was fine but we felt quite rushed. This is not a negative but should be mentioned.. there is no lift, just so people are aware when booking.

Cons: We struggled to find the place as GPS wasn't accurate but used information from booking.com and the property itself and got there safely.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This converted post office accomodates only two guest groups, but that is part of its distinctive charm, which combines privacy, luxurious facilities and a very warm welcome from Paul and Michelle. As they say, the chances are that you will enter as guests but leave as friends. My rooms included a totally private ground-floor lounge and an exclusive bathroom. The surrounding countryside is full of scenic attractions, including a good pub. If you stay, you might feel that you don't want to publicise it in case it's booked out next time.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.

Pros: Michelle and Paul are so welcoming and friendly, as is Ralph, nothing was too much trouble. Our stay was everything we wanted and more ... we had a superb relaxing and chilled night away from all the ‘routine life’ at home. The private lounge area was more than we expected and had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy....l didn’t want to get up this morning. I’ve already booked another visit and this one we are taking my Mum and Dad too as a special anniversary pressie to them. I would without a doubt recommend this to everyone Friends and Family ... by far it’s the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in, in the U.K. We will defo be returning time and time again .... even if it’s just for the hospitality..... monthly visits here we come. Thank you Michelle and Paul for having us and making us feel very special.... see you both very soon love Zoe xx

Cons: Not much to say here
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, location, warm comfortable feeling.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy, view great, shower excellent, hostess and host lovely. Short walk to good pub meal. Canal and estate close enough to walk to and explore. All very laid back, relaxed and friendly. I liked having the use of the breakfast room /lounge and the key to the front door so we could come and go at will.
Cons: Didn't mind not having a cooked breakfast as there was a good choice of cereals and fruit but I felt we could have had a more interesting choice of nice breads and cheeses and perhaps charcuterie.

Pros: We only stayed one night but really enjoyed our breakfast. The staff were very professional but friendly too nothing was to much trouble. We will defiantly be staying here again.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Large clean rooms. They were very responsive to requests and questions at the time of booking.
Cons: There was a single cotton hand towel in the public bathroom - not the most hygienic option. The hotel is directly under the flight path for Manchester airport The rooms are well insulated from the noise but it may still disturb lighter sleepers.
9.5 Excellent

Brookfield House - Prestbury - Building
13
9.1 Excellent (63 reviews)
4.5 Okay
Pros: Lovely location - village of Prestbury was superb. The cat which kept us company in the evenings!
Cons: Hosts not there during our stay at all - received text message to say they were away for a funeral (I know this can't be helped and is very sad etc. but obviously no proper contingency plans in place for ensuring paying guests needs are met). Hot water/boiler went off - had to call a friend/neighbour (?) of the owners to come an sort it out (they had texted a last minute 'phone a friend' number in their absence. WiFi didn't appear to be working and no-one around to ask about it - why should I keep 'phoning the friend' at my expense....?. No breakfast on both mornings due to owners being absent - not made clear this would be the case... Quirky accommodation in a 'converted loft' above the double garage - somewhat misleading photos don't properly indicate this. Initially quite interesting, but soon became apparent the bathroom was plagued by insects/moths etc. No air conditioning in the accommodation - it was hot and stuffy during the UKs hottest week - not even a fan provided. I would have expected a lot more in terms of service for the cost. Poor show in this respect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet setting. Very comfortable room with everything you could want for a restful night sleep. Large comfortable beds, large tv with comfortable sofa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having 2 double beds in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed here several times during the week. It is very comfortable, 5 minutes walk from Prestbury, this is a great place to relax, visit the area on foot, enjoy the great restaurants of Prestbury or use as a base for work. The people who run the place are welcoming, friendly and make you feel at home. I highly recommend Brookfield House.
Cons: It can get a bit cold in the winter, just let them know and as usual they will ensure you are comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location, lovely hosts, the place itself was spotless and so comfortable, also very spacious, we had a lovely time here, the village itself is so beautiful and peaceful and the location is great value for money, would definitely recommend
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The space is large and room with an enormous sofa, two seperate double beds, a very good sized fridge and workable WiFi connection. There's plenty of space for a couple and if two couples wanted to share there would still be plenty of space.
Cons: A hairdryer in the room would've been helpful. Not a disaster though.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really comfy bed, clean hotel. Karen was kind and helpful!
Cons: The journey by foot was a little troubling due to lack of pavement in the last little bit of the journey, but that is the only small gripe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fit for a king with so much choice! Fab!
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Arrived late and left early so a flying visit. Called ahead of my arrival due to my lateness and was quickly put at ease. Met on arrival and shown to my room and made to feel very welcome. In short, a great place run by incredible people and I will definitely try and stay again when in the area.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location. It was beautiful.
Cons: It was a little cold.

He also booked a taxi for us to get to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable and we appreciated staying in a smaller and more traditional style of hotel instead of one of the bigger chains.

Pros: Staff very pleasant and room very comfortable. Cooked breakfast was freshly prepared and the continental one was also good. Glad to have a room at the back because the traffic outside is very heavy at peak times.
Cons: Bathroom was clean but very cramped - hardly room to sit down on the toilet or to move in the shower cubicle. We accidentally left a pair of pyjamas in the room when departing on Saturday but when we rang up to check 3 days later (1st opportunity) we were somewhat annoyed to learn they'd already been "disposed of" !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super convenient to airport with a good rate and a non-chain hotel experience. Owner was friendly and offered dining suggestions. The towns were nothing great, but the Italian restaurant nearby was delightful.
Cons: Noisy - traffic drives by all night.

Overview Reviews
With its boutique shops, cafes and restaurants, Wilmslow is one of the UK's most pleasant places to be. You're nestled between the bustle of Manchester and the dairy fields of Cheshire, and if you want to go further afield, Manchester Airport is just up the road. Spot a deer or two roaming in Tatton Park. Or do some serious plane spotting at Aviation Park. Visit some big name retail stores at Trafford Centre, or keep the little ones amused at Quarry Bank Mill. Once you're done come back and relax at the hotel in our super-comfy kingsize Hypnos beds and enjoy a delicious meal at the Harvester restaurant next door.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is perfect if you have an early flight. Only 10-15 minutes taxi ride away.
Cons: We weren’t notified that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment prior to arriving so had to go into Wilmslow for our meal.9
6.3 Good
Pros: No facilities I.e. somewhere to eat as the pub next door had closed down
9.5 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a typical Premier Inn, basic but comfortable
Cons: Lack of any food facilities on site is a bit of a pain with having to order something in, but its not the end of the world. Floors can be a bit creaky if theres some heavy footed guests staying in rooms above!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfortable
Cons: More tea and sugar but not a problem really
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast we a pre packed box with porridge, a grain bar and on orange juice, Not to my tastes.
Cons: No onsite resturant
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean. The receptionist was friendly.
Cons: I didn't like the location, no shops and restaurants around, no public transport available. We arrived there in the evening, and had to take a ten-minute walk to the nearby town to have something to eat. I booked the room there because the hotel seemed to be close to Manchester Airport, but you can only get there by taxi/car. An Uber taxi from the airport costs about 17 pounds one way. If you add this to your hotel room price, you don't get a good value for money. I think it would be much easier and cheaper to book a room in Manchester and get there by a local train from the airport.

Pros: Spacious en-suite room with a view over the valley. Comfortable bed. Central location for my activities.
Cons: A little tight for parking.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. My case was carried upstairs for me and back down when I left.
Cons: The en-suite was tiny, like a portashower and portaloo combined that I had to step up into. I was on the second floor up a narrow staircase and I think other rooms on that floor didn't have en-suite and there was constant toing and froing throughout the night that kept me awake.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfy and was a minute from the train station.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay - we really loved it. The house is in a fantastic location. We could walk to the supermarket and to the main street with an ATM, restaurants, a fish and chip shop, and a cinema. We didn't realise how close the house was to the canal. We were able to walk along the canal for many kilometres in beautiful English countryside and also watched boats coming through the locks. And, my goodness, the breakfast was outstanding! What a treat!
