Friendly people quiet location not too far away from other small towns. Would like to have stayed in the area much longer.
very nice room, very helpfull staff no
Staff were excellent. Came out and met us on the road even though it was late at night,. and opened the kitchen to cook us a delicious dinner after we had settled in Charming town and countryside, clean, large suite and breakfast was large, varied and wonderful! Fantastic stay.
Everything was great, the size of the room, all faciliies, breakfast, etc. We did not expect such a good hotel in such a location.
It's clean. The apartment was spacious and quite well equipped. The duvets were the best ones. The owner is nice. It's also situated in a countryside with beautiful landscape. Although it's simple the breakfast was delicious! It's pity we just stayed for 1 night. I recommend this hotel for someone who doesn't mind staying in countryside.
Every thing was perfect!
In spite of late arrivalhour 22 h the kitchen was still open and diner and breakfast were excellent. Rooms were clean and esecially the 4 persons appartement is very spacious I am almost invalid. The stairs to the room is quite steep and posed me some problems
Very comfortable indeed and the first place we have been that has a genuinely satalite TV service. There were literally hundreds and hundreds of channels to choose from!! Fair way to get to a main road but that is also a good thing as the room was very quiet. Car parking can get a bit full at busy times in the restaurant/pub.
staff where helpful, breakfast was brilliant plenty of choice, beds where very comfortable meals in the evening where very expensive 25 euro for buffet not including drinks, bar menu was rubbish, not much choice and quiet expensive too. local food is definately worth it
We enjoyed our stay because the staff was very friendly and accomodatimg. The hotel is very nice, the room was very clean, and the breakfast had a good variety. The breakfast was costly if you are not a big eater.
Staff should be fluent in English. The rooms should have air co.
It was clean and the view was lovely from our room That there is no swimming pool - everywhere there are signs around the hotel that say SPA or thermal spa - and the swimming pool is empty in a state of disrepair - however the countryside next to the hotel is very nice.
A True 4 star business hotel. Excellent value for the money the room was spotless, the hotel staff very helpful. The location was excellent for sightseeing of the Rhein/Mosel Region. $20 euro breakfast was not included in the price.
Very comfortable hotel. rooms very clean. Helpfull staff. Good location near Koblenz. Nice garden.
The food was excellent and the room was the best i had ever had.
Great hotel, good restaraunt, amazing views.
Away from the center of the city nestled on top a hill. Nice view. We booked a Leisure Deluxe room. Rooms are listed as follows: On Wyndham Site: Business Room (30 sqm) Junior Suite (37 sqm) Standard Double (18 sqm) Standard Single (18 sqm) Suite (70 sqm) Suite Deluxe (85 sqm) Superior Double (22 sqm) Triple Room (52 sqm) Notice, the only place the word “Deluxe” exists is the "Suite Deluxe" which is 85 sqm! When we arrived, we were told we would be given an upgrade of a room as our room type was not available. We were given a Triple Room. How can we be upgraded if we booked the best room they had? After complaining about the room, we were told that they only had 2 different room types: standard and business. The business room was the same as a triple. After showing the staff their website, they confirmed that it is misleading but that there was nothing they could do. They had nothing else to offer. One staff member said, if they had a suite, they would give it to us. So I proceeded to go online to find that I could still book a Junior Suite. The room was supposed to have a “deep soaking tub”. We got a 80cm x80cm shower. I'm still scratching from a bedbug bite. Mattress was sagging (we got 2 twin beds and booked a king). The room and balcony needed paint. On the balcony the paint was actually flaking off. The shower faucet was old and deteriorated. The radiator hadn't been dusted off in months. The safe was so small that you couldn't even fit a netbook... no key anyway. The sink was installed lower than code. The pillows were several years old. The curtains would not close. And we were given no maid service the first day because we left the room around noon. 4 stars? Don't go there!
It was an affordable hotel with good service and a nice view. It was a considerable distance from Koblenz
Superb view from 10th floor! Excellent breakfast! The best all our holiday!
Cleanliness, cancelation poclicy, and helpful staff. Wireless Internet is not available freely, and it is far from any avaiable restaurant.
Very friendly staff; good value for money hotel. -
Am a regular visitor to the hotel, 1st discovered it several years ago and I keep going back as I have never had a bad experience with it. As always on this visit my room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were as always polite and friendly and the inclusive buffet breakfast got me my days off to a good and tasty start.
The area for dining in the hotel was extremely noisy with loud singing and general noise which at times was rather intimidating. The staff made no real effort to keep the noise in check.
Convenience of hotel location, standard of facicities and friendliness and politeness of the hotal staff
Convient, historic Buildring going on outside room area, when at 9pm an tired the hotel staff explained they would be working onther hour! Disapointed in guest relations.
We liked the convenience of having the castle to explore, a restaurant with views, and our room in close proximity. The free parking was also an added bonus. The view from our room was beautiful! The king bed is actually two twins pushed together. Not to mention, the bed/s were not very comfortable unless you like a hard bed. You are definitely paying for the castle aspect because the rooms were average.
Breathtaking location, nice wellness area, average service, average dining room Hot room, no aircon, tired dated bathroom, no hotel information in the room in any language, overpriced
Excellent location with superb views, ok dining room with average service.
We appreciated every part of our stay, beginning with our arrival. Although we arrived well before the regular check-in time, the staff found us a room that we could have immediately. We were first afraid that this new room in the villa would be less desirable than the room we reserved, but we were pleasantly surprised. The view of the Rhine from our balcony was superb. The view from the dining room with its wide windows was also great. We reserved a table for dinner and were surprised when the hostess led us away from the window area. However, we were given a table in a lovely private alcove which also had a view. Generally we found our experience to be better than we expected from the guest reviews we read.
The guest room was clean. The guest room was far from reception. There was no porter. There was no explanation about the location of guest room from reception staff when I check-in. That's why I misunderstood that the guest room location is near by reception. After I checked-in, I carried 3 heavy buggage to the in front of reception which locate at the 1st floor. At that time they explained to me about the location of guest room. So that I had to carry our buggage to downstair again. I reserved the restaurant at 8:30, but the restaurant couldn't prepare the table for us on time. After they provided for us a very small table which located close to reception without any tablecloth! The table was too small to put all meals and noisy location. I was disappointed.
The Breakfast was excellent The room was far too hot - should have had air conditioning. No information in English, we did ask but none was produced. The hotel was very overpriced
Excellent Location. Clean comfortable rooms. Friendly staff
We enjoyed everything about our visit and will tell all of our friends Our timing was bad because the castle tour wasn't open yet!
They offered a nice food.
Close to the old town of Limburg. Free parking. The price of the breakfast is excessive.
Beautiful historic City
availability of a smoking room, quiet and comfortable room Wrong telephone number provided, it was impossible to call the hotel. Name of the hotel on the building was not Arcadia, but Tulip, there was no explanation, I circled the area three times before somebody told me it is the right place. If not for the geographic coordinates used in sat-nav, I would never find the hotel.
convenietly placed for the old town, with a good range of restaurants Lack of restaurant facilaties
Ease of finding & parking: close to town.
Convenient to town centre Poor value for money. Bar area uncomfortable Lift out of service Breakfast choice limited and expensive.
Staff were very helpful
Cleanliness and big quiet room. Very good breakfast. We discovered with pleasure the center of the old Limburg and the multiple italians restaurants!
Nice hotel with fair price Breakfast too expensive (15 EUR per person)
Friendly hotel ideal for families very close to the centre.
Stayed in Room 10 overlooking the Rhine, with small balcony. Very large room, but small bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Hotel is directly opposite the KD line stop. Did not eat in the hotel apart from breakfast, which consisted of smoked salmon, boiled eggs, salami, cold meats, cheeses, rolls, juices and cereals. The owner was a very pleasant man. Very convenient for train also. No.
The quiet location No id request from the staff, we booked in without showing any identity at all.
There was a wonderful view of the Rhine and a castle from the balcony. Nice variety offered at breakfast. Friendly, helpful management. The KD cruise line docks directly across the street and the train station is a few minute walk. Great location!
Friendly staff, and for once a hotel has figured out traveler's need more than one electrical outlet in their room. The rooms with balconies overlooking the Rhine are extrememely nice, and despite being at the center of town the hotel was quiet.
Great location overlooking the Rhine right near the KD ferry pier. Really large room, well furnished, good place to stay in St Goar.
Excellent location, spacious room with a pleasant view, very friendly and helpful proprietor. In-room mini-bar would be nice.
This hotel is located in a very good spot in the town. Right in front of the KD boat tour pier of the Rhein river. The cat castle is in a window view. The hotel manager is always asking if there is any problem in your stay.
Very big room with wonderful view on the Rhein Bit old furnitures in the room. Unpleasant smell in the stairwell, but fortunately not in the room.
The owner couldn't be more helpful. He seemed to take a personal interest in every guest. The situation of the Hotel is perfect with beautiful views over the Rhine. A balcony room in the summer would be perfect. Ideally situated for hiking.
Excellent breakfasts, good location Parking was a problem, particularly for my disabled wife
very good hotel very good foodgood
We loved the Spa and Welness. Room was very nice and breakfast excellent. A place to relax. Nice view also from the room.
one of the best spa hotels I ever visited
upgrade me to a better room as the original room was not ready the spa should also be opening in the morning
Friendly staff, good food, good value for money Not bad as such, clearly refurbishment is underway - but my room had dated look
The pool and the Sauna Landschaft - the beautiful setting of the hotel. We loved the Sauna Landschaft, but it was closed one day, and we find it strange that nakedness should be compullsory (seems a very strange German wish for strict rules) - anyway neither we nor several others stripped our swimsuits!. We came mainly for the Offenbach Festival Concert, but we thought it strange that the restaurant doesnt adapt to the times of the concerts: no way to have dinner at the hotel before or after concert. An improvement would also be to have easy access to Internet even without bringing a laptop. But we had a lovely time! Karl Johan Danell
Everything is excellent...I would recommend this hotel to everybody who likes thermal spa facilities.
We loved our stay at Häckers Kurhotel. The hotel is placed in Bad ems a really small town, and it felt like you were seperated from the rest of the world. Time stod still. The hotel itself was wonderful, the staff was really really serviceminded and the breakfast was excellent...So if you are looking for a hotel and surroundings to completely relax in- this is the place..
Old fashioned spa-hotel, very atmospheric. Good spa and sauna facilities. Bathroom had a stale smell; needed airing.
Staff and Breakfast. This is an old resort slowly coming to an end. Terrible furniture, worst sheets. One room smelled, another extremely dark (had to upgrade it). Bathrooms were fine. Only for older people interested in hot spring.
Spa and pool were a big hit with us - excellent value for money from that perspective. Rooms modern, well appointed and extremely clean. Location of hotel for wandering into town in evening was an unexpected bonus. Easy access from major highway nearby. Breakfast was very good. Excellent on site (covered) parking. Although advertised as a 4 star, the hotel is very business oriented, not really a place for rest and relaxation with a family. Evening meals are in a cafeteria - not a 4 star restaraunt as we expected. Some difficulty understanding the staff and getting directions to the on-site spa/pool complex - not a major issue but an indicator. Major construction underway on site for next 6 months - not mentioned and detracted a little.
We like the room, the breakfast and the spa facilities. They were excellent. Everything was in the separate buildings. To go to the swimming pool, you have to walk up to the hill where is located and walk back again after being in the sauna. Also, you should be prepared to be in the mixed sauna with out your swimming suite.Another point that it is more or less for business people not for families.
Excellent architecure new and old, good dining, excellent spa. You get a lot of exercise walking up and down the mountain from your bedroom to the facilities, which might actually be a good thing. Not for the infirm or the elderly really.
Good conference style hotel. Excellent standard of cleanliness and helpful friendly staff. It is distributed across a hill, so be careful if you're mobility impaired.
Very nice hotel located on a hill in a castle. Modern rooms, free dinner in the cafe. Room was in a building at the bottom of the hill in the basement, hostel type of atmosphere, had to go up the hill to the reception. Only suitable for visitors with cars.
modern, no frills and clean hotel
Convenience of location when travelling on A3 in mid Germany. Rooms are excellently appointed and Room Rate includes buffet style dinner.
Very clean and friendly, excellent food and facilities
Very nice location, nice room Restaurant is only self service
outeous staff, a workouroom and the rooms were very clean. They also found English speaking personnel when neede. Good breakfast and dinner also! No
Large room and good restaurant with friendly staff.Good breakfast.
A very comfortable country hotel A large coach party absorbed much of the staff attention at dinner and breakfast.
Please write at least 15 words
everithing was on the high level
Quality of the towels could be better
Very comfortable and clean and warm room. Friendly and attentive staff.
In a great location being on the edge of the old town and next to the river. The room was basic but functional and therefore adequate. The owner who was there at check in was very welcoming and helpful but the staff in the morning (especially in the breakfast room) were surly and quite unfriendly. Would have been nice to have the opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace. Dirty and stained bedroom carpet, it's the reason that we only gave the hotel a 'fair' rating for cleanliness.
location nice. Would be nice to have Wireless internet
Nice location, clean, friendly, good food
The location is excellent for the town and the Lahn. Good restaurants nearby as well as an excellent restraurant in house. Would recommend it.
Spacious room, great location, excellent breakfast.
Great central location and helpful staff.
Location within pedestrian area of Limburg
The hotel was in a great location, the staff was nice, room was very comfortable; best part was the shower was separate from the toilet. Extra sinks made it nice also! Definitely recomend.
The location of the hotel in the center of Limburg is perfect for my purposes. Very friendly and competent personnel. Even the standard rooms are well equipped and of decent size. If you're still hungry after having left the breakfast buffet, it's your own fault. You just have to have dinner at the Restaurant de Orusse at least once during your stay - excellent cuisine. Does the above really sound like there was anything I didn't like? :-)
Excellent location. Room decor eccentric but interesting. Staff friendly and helpful After I received confirmation of the reservation from active hotels the hotel sent me an e-mail saying my booking had crossed with a bobking they had made with a large party. They did however manage to find a room the next day and I was able to take up my original plan. I do not know whether this was the fault of you or the hotel but this kind of problem should not happen.
Nice quiet location (after the owner's son had finished his short drum practice in the basement!), right by the river as you'd expect from the name
The staff is very helpful and kind, the apartments are clean and comfortable
Excellent price for value, breakfast in your room is just great!
Price Location (within 2 minutes from A3) Room (good size, modern, good shower) Friendly and helpful staff Location (industrial environment), but if you just need a hotel to sleep and continue your journey (like me), that should be no problem
We only stayed for one day/night but enjoyed our stay. The hotel has no restaurant but is only a 15 - 20 minute walk from the beautiful city center where there is an abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Attractive 3 story buiding in quiet part of town within easy driving distance to old town. We were the only English speaking guests.
The bill was paid before our arrival by credit card, but we liked to pay by cash. Then we had no possibility of choice.
this is a very basic, but comfortable and clean hotel. Good for a short visit
stop over on way to hungary location and standard good for purpose
Hotel was modern and comfortable - reasonably priced. There is a nice "Winter Garten" area. The hotel and surroundings were very neat - and the environment was quite calm. Dinner was not available at the hotel (at least the night when we were there) - just drinks and frozen pizzas. It didn't really matter in the end - we went into the city and had one of the best Thai meals ever :-)
Clean, freindly staff, comfortable rooms, quiet Frozen pizzas not fresh sold in restaurant
Very friendly staff and good location for travelling Shame they do not have a full restaurant service and also the room key devices are terrible - please bring back swipe or traditional keys.
Clean rooms, although they had a strong odor of cleaning solution. You pretty much have to drive to the downtown area. The rooms also smelled like cleaning solution.
It is in a clean and quiet town located only 18 minutes by train from Koblenz Station. Because it is a little further out from major tourist attractions, I found my hotel room to be very spacious, well-equipped for the price with free Wi-Fi and the quietest of all the hotel rooms that I stayed in during my trip. The restaurant at the hotel also served pretty decent food for dinner and the waitresses can speak a bit of English. If you want to visit Cochem, Koblenz (or Bonn / Cologne if you have a Eurorail pass), then this is a good hotel to stay in as a base for your day trips: quiet, well-equipped, clean, and well-priced. Nothing bad about the hotel, but make sure you check your train schedule as to when you catch your trains. Sometimes, there can be as few as just one train every hour or so.
Pleasant staff. Good bar. As the room was at the back of hotel and facing a cliff, it was quite dark.
Central riverside location in a quiet attractive town, and a very good evening meal in the pavement terrace restaurant.
Didnt like being charged 25 euros for putting some sheets onto a sofa. Should have been advised the cost in advance. Didnt like being told we couldnt use the free parking opposite and being told to use the paid parking some distance away so they could make some more money.
the food was very good, choice of wines was perfect, and the cook/owner was very attentive. the staircase to the rooms upstairs is a bit difficult for older people who carry luggage. maybe the hotel can assist older people carry their luggage upstairs. one small problem with the breakfast buffet where guests can make fresh orange juice themselves with a squeezing machine: the idea is nice, but in practice it does not work very well to squeeze the oranges. It takes a long time and it is easy to hurt your hands.
Nothing it was horrable, dark and univiting This hotel is well past its sell by date, it needs a complete refit, nearly everything is taty ,old, bashed , chipped & dirty looking. It is on a busy main road, with the traffic intensifing @ 04.00 with heavy trucks going to a large quarry just up the road. Our evening meal was the worst ive had for some time
We were late in arriveing due to traffic, i called ahead to inform the hotel and when we arrived we were served dinner, the chefs had stayed on to make our meals evean though we were late
very good stay to avoid mosquitos in the rooms
Very helpful staff - even though very busy at time of arrival I would recommend proper curtains in the room - one of the shutters did not funktion.
Beutifull landscape. quiet area with many vilages nearby Lack of hotwater after 22:00
Great location, great views, extremely quiet and restful. Food and wine were excellent, service and friendliness were wonderful. We speak very little German but the staff were very helpful.
The staff is top! The restaurant is also very good. Great value for money. none
The breakfast was amazing and so too were the staff! I can't say enough good things about this place. It was perfect for anyone looking to get away from a busy work life. There is ample parking and great roads for the less adverterous. We went on foot from the train station which is possible but its an uphill walk for 40 mins. The rooms are cosy and the view into the valley is superb. I would definitely stay here again.
Staff really friendly. Staff really friendly. Beautiful scenery. No lift, rooms all on the 1st floor, not suitable for handicapped.
A very nice privately owned hotel in a picturesque place on a hill with a view on Bad Ems town. The restaurant is very good. The staff is very amiable. The place is quiet, excellent for having a rest and a good sleep. The hotel is isolated from the town on a high hill, and it is possible to get there only by car. But that was not a real problem for us however.
it's a very quiet place, with a very nice viewpoint on the valley. the food was excellent. gorgeous breakfast on the terrace The deco was dated and the pictures of the rooms on the site didn't reflect the reality
Truly charming hotel. The hotel is in a lovely village, right on the bank of the river Rhine. The rooms are well designed, new furniture, of course all very clean, very nice bedding, super bathroom etc etc. But what is really the winning point is their manager. The lady manager/owner has made our stay very special. It started with her waiting for us in front of the hotel when we were little lost, then giving us a lot of advice about the local events and thanks to her we witnessed a wonderful local festival and firework. The way she treats her guests is of course very professional but at the same time so warm that she makes the stay in this lovely lovely hotel even more special. We definitely recommend it.
It satisfied the basic needs. Aparment was plain Jane and dated yet clean. Hotel restaurant and rooms overlooked the Rhine while our apartment was several blocks away. Nice restaurant. Just that furniture while clean and in good condition was cheap. We thought we would have a river view as the web page indicated.
Spa area, Staff, dinner in the restaurant. We stay in an appartment. The bed is very unconfortable. Service in the restaurant is slow.
Superbly clean, family run hotel. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Room had balcony where we enjoyed watching boats on the Rhine below. Relaxing supper in hotel's restaurant--good, hearty food. Small thing, but the pillows were a bit stiff and thick for my liking.
Owner very friendly. Breakfast was very good. There was nothing to do or any where to go in the evening. Trafic noise outside.
