6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfasts were truly great: meat, cheese, home-made jams, and every day Marylin cooked something extra, with lots of phantasy. In France, the breakfasts are normally smaller, so this was a lovely surprise. The bed was good, I slept very well (my husband however complained a bit). Wi-fi worked all the time. Air conditioning worked well, and was very handy since the days were hot. I loved the attention to small details. When we returned on a hot day, the air con was turned on for us, exactly the right temperature. It was wonderful. The rooms are very clean. They are done every day. Hossegor and the lake are close. There is a nice fair on Sundays.
Cons: I really hesitate to write negative things when it is so evident that the owner puts a lot of love and effort into the place. Sorry. :( Unfortunately it didn’t work well for us. The information on booking.com was misleading. We were travelling from Spain, arrived the last (but on time) and perhaps because of this got the smallest room (?). The booking.com stated that the room was 25 sq.m. Well, it is definitely not, even if you count with the open plan shower and WC. It reminded me of London hotels. It was unfortunate of course that we came directly from an agriturismo where for the same price we had an 80 sq.m appartment... I’ve heard that other rooms are bigger, well, maybe this could be somehow indicated at booking.com, and the price deducted accordingly. Also, the design of the room is somewhat weird. The shower doesn’t have a door: you can see someone taking a shower from the room and afterwards you can smell the damp a bit. Also, our room’s windows faced the parking (though it was not big). I see that many people are very happy with the place. Well, if you are keen on visiting Hossegor, this may be a very good option, since it looks that other B&Bs are about the same price, but if, like us, you prefer more farmlike establishments and bigger appartments, and just want to roam around the French countryside, then I would go somewhere else.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I liked really everything. Lovely property, spacious and clean room with an awesome shower. Excellent breakfast with home made food. Very friendly and welcoming owner.
Cons: Coffee in the morning is a bit weak but I know it will soon change. However, I had a Nespresso machine in my room.

Lots of love Benji and Alice.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Marlyn was super lovely and went out of her way to make us feel like home. Always smiley, willing to help and just all round friendly.
Cons: The location was a bit out of the way so a car is definitely needed to get around.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well thought out hotel. Welcoming and helpful staff. Secure parking. Excellent breakfast and service. The air conditioning was just right, highly appreciated given very high outdoors temperature, with minimal noise.
Cons: A suggestion. Given the rather limited restaurants offering in the town - at least within 10-15 minutes walk - might there not be an opportunity to provide an evening restaurant service?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the architecture, it is wonderful! The staff is very nice and helpful. And I really recommend the breakfast which was amazing.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and super clean - Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom and choice of pillows excellent! Bed was extra comfy, terrace spacious Restaurant / bar excellent, tapas (mostly regional - therefor big thumps-up) were good, also the choices of wine and not overpriced. Breakfast had almost only regional products and organic products - loved that very much!! View from the terrace perfect and thanks to the plants not too exposed to the passing people at the lake. Treatment packages a good deal at the spa! Lovely staff,
Cons: “Spa” is a little exaggerated, we were expecting a little more for having it in the titel of the hotel. No lounging area except for the outside deck chairs around the pool. Breakfast a bit pricy for the choices, it’s quality though is good. Typical French pastries could be a little better. Scrambled eggs had a funny texture. English speaking capacities of the staff could be upgraded.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service. Upgraded to fantastic room. Very comfortable. Amazing customer service. Lovely tapas dining and good wine!
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: fantastic location, amazing rooms, friendly polite staff, great margaritas and breakfast - had a facial in the spa which was fab, highly recommend
Cons: nothing at all
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is really nice, beautiful architecture, decor & atmosphere was very fresh with a cool beach vibe. The room was good size, power shower with Bluetooth speakers, we stayed at the upper level with a nice balcony view overlooking the lake, the bed was comfortable & the room was very clean which I’m very specific about it. The location is also good although u might need a car to drive to the beach is very close to the center and super convenient to go out for dinners etc.. it’s is also nice to go for a walk along the path way at the hotel front by the lake. The hotel balcony deck is lovely for afternoon drinks and to watch sunset.
Cons: To be honest the restaurant staff was VERY rude, In fact was shocked by their poor customer service, lack of tact talking to the guests, it’s almost like they get very annoyed at you to have to speak English... They have a bit of training to do in order to improve this area for a 4x star hotel. I don’t want generalise all team but 2pp in particular were pretty bad, the others were okay (might email the hotel separate abt this experience). On the other hand the reception staff were stars, very friendly & good customer service from check in throughout all stay till check out. Upon make a booking make sure your rate includes the pool otherwise if you wish to use they charge extra 25 euros per day, It wasn’t our case but I can see some guests would be disappointed if they missed this point when booking. The pool wasn’t heated so I it could slightly warmer considering it was a little cold although sunny. The experience was still good and hossegor is a beautiful coastal city.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was extremely comfortable with a great view of the lake. The breakfast was excellent as were the spa and pool facilities, although these came at an extra cost but well worth paying extra for.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing. Beautiful view, a perfect bed. This is the second time we are back at this hotel.
Cons: We found out we now need to pay to use the swimming pool which is unacceptable considering the price we already pay for a stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, all spoke French and English. Exceptional Breakfast provided. Bedroom was very good with great amenities especially the coffee!
Cons: Dinner menu limited to Tapas but ample.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is exceptionally kind. The hotel has a quiet zen feeling. Many people would enjoy the spa, swimming pool, lakeside location. We were pleased with the secure and fairly spacious garage.
Cons: Other than the one seriously gourmet restaurant a mile or so away, the restaurant scene is pretty mediocre. This is a town with hundreds of shops selling beachware, dozens and dozens of roundabouts, fairly nice residential areas, and of course a lovely beach. But there are plenty of lovely beaches in France and Italy. My impression is this is a good place for millenials and perhaps families for a vacation home. There is not that much to bring us back. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, which is a downside. The breakfast service and wine bar service are fine.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was so lovely. She was welcoming, helpful and informative. We had had a long journey when we arrived and after showing me around she fetched a pitcher of iced water for us and a bottle of menthe syrup. There was also the added bonus of a fridge in our room. The room was a good size and was nicely decorated in neutral colours with a couple of nice pictures and just enough tasteful ornaments to lift it from being bland whilst ensuring it was still tasteful and not cluttered (no dusty potpourri or dried flowers). The shower room was spacious and tasteful with plenty of room for all your shampoo and stuff, in fact there was a Vanity basin unit with cupboards and drawers for if you were staying there for longer. The location is very quiet and peaceful with grass and trees within walking distance if you have a dog as we do. There are restaurants nearby and the owner was very knowledgeable and supplied a map. We walked with the dog to get a take away pizza nearby which was really delicious (at Pizza Sea Side - you could also eat your pizza there with your dog on a terrace, but is was a bit too hot for that while we were there). The hotel owner gave us plates and cutlery and we sat in our private little patio area to eat. There was also another table and chairs inside the room. There was a sun bathing area and pool around the back near the breakfast room. Breakfast was included and consisted of various breads and brioche with butter, jams and honey. Tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Fresh fruits, cake, orange juice and yogurt. Our dog even got a few doggie treats. This is an ideal place to stay en route, especially if you are travelling with a dog,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice couple. Beautiful house with nice garden and swimming pool. Situated in a very calm, green and peaceful environment. Breakfast was excellent. We felt more than welcome with our Weimaraner dog, Mac.
Cons: The double bed was only 140x200 and we are used to sleep in a 180x200, but for only 1 night, no problem.

Cons: A bit of noise came through in the early hours as kids were going home from the nightclubs but not too bad, and to be expected in the centre of a lively seaside town like Hossegor.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, very welcoming. Good breakfast (optional extra that we had on our departure date). Great location for the beach, but a bit far for shops and Hossegor itself - a good half hour walk. Lovely weather. Gave me some basic first aid stuff when I hurt my foot on the last day.
Cons: Not enough power points generally. Using the kettle was an issue due to lack of power points in the kitchenette and a short cable. We had to balance the kettle on the washbasin on the draining board so that the plug could reach the socket in the lamp above the sink. Very basic cooking facilities, just two rings, no microwave or oven, so no cooking done during the stay. Basic utensils too, no proper bread knife - in France! (Just a large knife but with no teeth)
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and the location good for the beach and excellent for the lake.
Cons: The decor was dated and there was an extra charge for using the kitchen in the room. The kitchen wasn't usable for making proper meals as facilities were minimal.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed the location. Incredibly calm, very suitable for families and in front of Lac D’Hossegor. 1km away from beaches and close to oyster producers; apart from that the owners are really nice and available; free parking on the property; cribs available.
Cons: Furniture a bit outdated, small fridge, very basic kitchen utensils, no microwave in the apartments, not prepared for reduced mobility people. Wifi a bit weak.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Great location on the lake with bars and restaurants very close by. Surf beach 5 mins away
Cons: The owner is a character! He charges for use of the kitchenette and fridge that's in the room. For the money spent I'd have thought he could turn the fridge on! The heater in the room and the heated towel rail were not working.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing there seemed to be only two people working the whole time I was there and they were really friendly and working really hard. I came for the surf competition and was able to hire a bike at the hostel which made it easier getting around. The beds are comfortable they have a fan power point and are private
Cons: It is very far from the airport and the location isn’t that great if you don’t have a car, unfortunately I did not enjoy the food I had at the restaurant I had a cheesy burger and a burrito which tasted nothing like a burrito
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good Location, with great outdoor spaces. Free parking.
Cons: Good Price for Rooms but expensive drinks and food.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Over-marketed. It is not a hotel but a youth hostel.
Cons: Lack of basic comfort : no tissues in bathroom, no toiletries, no daily cleaning. And no swimming pool.

Pros: The staffs are very nice and kind. The location is excellent, a couple of minutes from the beach. Some minutes by bike to the QuickSilver WSL event. Rooms are big and there is everything you need there, led light, usb plug, energy plug, everything in your bed. At night, you can have some french craft beer and eat delicious burgers. Furthermore, the hostel has a amazing atmosphere.
Cons: I have a small issue with my reserve, but the staff were very honest and they have solved it perfectly. Nothing to complain about it.

2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Realy bad service!
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Very tiny bathroom
7.5 Good
Pros: Very accommodating staff, a great restaurant, we were able to sit and chill in the dining room late at night once the staff had gone to bed. Location is central to the outlet stores (10-15 mine walk) and easy drive to Hossegor centre and Capbreton.
Cons: There is a lack of English but this is the case in the whole of Hossegor and the staff are still willing to really try to explain things as best as possible. Room 2 had a smell after using the shower and seemed to come and go. We weren't sure if it was a sulfur or sewerage smell. Our friend in room 6 didn't have the smell. Easter weekend outlet surf sale happens nearby and many roads get shut off so due to diversions and traffic it can take longer than expected to get back to the hotel.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very, very good restaurant, pool. Very kind staff!
Cons: No ventilationbin the bathroom!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It suited our requirements being at the quiet end of the lake. Our top floor room had full length sliding windows onto a sitting-out deck perfect for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun - room 129 had a problem with closing the window, we were changed to another room without any fuss. View is over the road to a lakeside beach. Rear rooms overlook the outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant is pleasant and reasonable value for money, My partner is vegetarian and even though there was no suitable item on the menu there was no hesitation in offering a suitable meal which was very inventive and tasty; not a mushroom omelet. The food is of a 'nouvelle cuisine' style - small amounts of flavour filled items, very tasty. The coast beach, great rollers for surfing is a 20 minute walk away behind dunes. The town and restaurants and bars is 20-30 minutes walk along the lakeside. We had taken bikes with us and found the numerous level biking routes made it pleasant and easy to get around. Pros: The location was perfect for us. Very quiet and with wonderful views over the lake. Close enough to walk into the centre of Hossegor (30 mins?) and for exploring the surrounding area. The receptionists were very pleasant.
Cons: The rooms could do with a lick of paint. Some of the walls were a little bit dirty.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed in this hotel on a couple of occasions before, albeit quite a few years ago, and were very happy, but this time we felt that it had certainly ‘upped the ante’. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly as were the staff in the dining room, especially the gentleman who was obviously front of house. I’m sorry we did not ask his name. The food in the dining room at night was delicious and so well presented. Our room, which had a lovely balcony, overlooked the lake. This was an added bonus. We would certainly recommend this hotel.
Cons: As far as we were concerned, there was nothing to dislike.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Pet friendly
Cons: Small room

Pros: Very friendly staff with a great location on the beach and our room had the bonus of a large balcony overlooking the sea. Also the late check out at 12 was very convenient.
Cons: Hotel was a little rustic which we expected at 3* and a good price point but no water or Internet rnet for the 2 days we were there was disappointing. The room wasn't dirty an maybe it was just our room but we could never rid ourselves completely of the flies.

Pros: The light was gone during the night and we could not sleep well, the air conditioning shut down I couldn't charge the mobile, not TV etc. They have charge 35 euros for my dog and during the reservation was any indication that they will. After this night the manager informed they will not charge the 35 euros for the dog and after we depart they charge at the credit card, definitely not cool if they don't keep they word truth. I do not recommend the place :-(
