Very comfortable and clean. Twin room is very good. Shower is clean and nice. The view from the window is super great. You can actually see the mountains from the room. Location is convenient. There trams and buses around. If walking, then it’s just 20 min to the Old town. Stuff is friendly and helpful.
Breakfast might be better. Although it still was quite ok.
No surprise at the comfort , breakfast and the wonderful welcome we got, we would like to know more about Haus Marillac, knowing that it was a Home Mercy Sisters. Would stay there anytime. Great place, easy to go to Ski Slopes and centre of town enjoyed immensely.
There was nothing to dislike believe me!! Wonderful welcome wonderful friendly staff in breakfast room Was great that there was no TVs in bedrooms enjoyed that very much.
Breakfast was basic, there could had been more options. View was beatiful to the mountains if there was a clear day. Hotel was very quiet and staff was friendly.
No tv in room and the hotel felt somehow too religious, religious brochures, cross on the room wall.
Breakfast was pretty good: enough to get by with - coffee, juices, fruit, muesli, granola, breads & jams. The room was comfortable. The place is truly basic...I felt like I wasn't paying anything more for something I didn't need.
I felt that through the answers to my inquiry I had made in advance, as well as upon my arrival, the staff could have been more helpful in regard to local recreation and public transit. I had come to ski, and the hotel is a solid 20 minute walk from the center of town. There are a few transit stops nearby - each a block or so away, but one needs to figure this out - as well as how to actually use the IVB-VVT system. For a city its size, Innsbruck has a very impressive network of trams and buses, but those super-serve certain areas, and run erratically to others - sometimes in loops rather than in back & forth directions. It's not immediately understood, and the IVB Scout app crashed for me most of the time or couldn't either bring up the locations I wanted, or offer alternate possibilities (it isn't exactly Qando, in case you live in Vienna). When I read in some of the materials I picked up at the train station that local hotels give out complimentary, official Innsbruck "Welcome Cards" to guests, I needed to go back to the front desk to ask for one. The girl gave it to me, but as I asked further questions about its available discounts and about skiing in the area, she seemed to be fairly uninformed and advised me to visit the Tourist Info office. Finally, despite the breakfast being pretty reliable, it didn't start until 7:30. I know they're not necessarily looking to cater to the skiing crowd, but to make it to any of the larger mountains from there via public transit requires two buses and arrivals after 10am - if you're going to have a sit-down breakfast there. (And that's also assuming you've got the transit system down pat.) Then, returning to Haus Marillac in the evening, you need to figure out how to get back from downtown - via either a connecting bus or Tram 1 - which probably won't be the same line you took in that same morning.
