9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, relaxing, well maintained, clean
Cons: A little road noise but nothing that would dissuade me from going back
9.3 Excellent
Pros: As usual an exceptional experience. Wonderful rooms, beautifully decorated. Breakfast from Phil is not just great but a fantastic experience. This was our third time we stayed with Phil and Gloria and every time it was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The Inn is as quiet as can be, we thought we were the only ones there and there were 12 other people residing. Read the history album all the way back to 1775. Do you want to see 280 year old trees? They have a handful surrounding the manor. Revolutionary history with every modern convenience!
Cons: Not a thing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and accomodating. Grounds are absolutely beautiful--garden, pool, and wooded trails. Easily accessible guest laundry and pantry also make for a relaxing and comforting stay.
Cons: Honestly hard to be critical of this hotel. Maybe updated TV/Cable format.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the warm and efficient greeting at check-in, to the spacious and well-appointed room, we were delighted at every turn. The guest pantry was such a great convenience and the washer and dryer right there on the floor came in handy! Fitness center! :)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are beautiful. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Cons: The food in the lounge bar was terrible. The service was good, however.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, great front desk experience, upgraded to king for $10/nt plus little bit of tax. Plentiful free parking. Nice grounds. The free food/drink in the pantry is a very nice touch.
Cons: Surprisingly limited breakfast. Seen better at Comfort Inn. And the eggs do not have to be cooked to death to be healthful. Only one cold cereal choice. Only one muffin choice. Grits were runny. Fruit was good. Veggie frittata was the highlight.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I was so impressed by the breakfast, the food served was excellent. The room was great a little dusty and the chair and ottoman had power on them, but the bed was comfortable and the employees were very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating!
Cons: The room could have been more toughly cleaned, there was power around the room on the chair and ottoman at the end of the bed and everything was pretty dusty especially under the sink in the bathroom. the shower was kinda gross, I say that because the grout had quite a bit of mildew.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great! Can not wait to go back
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, good parking, clean. However, checking in was an issue for us. The outside signs are a little confusing and caused us to go to opposite buildings.

Pros: Clean room
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The bathrooms are Wonderful !!
Cons: One of the beds had actual dirty sheets, had to get the staff to come change them .. not a good feeling ! The mattress was very uncomfortable -didn’t feel like a cloud at all..( could feel bed springs) in room #207 -bed closest to the door.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful place. Also, this is the only hotel I've visited lately that I've given a 10 out of 10 for staff. They were perfect.
Cons: No complaints. As close to perfect as possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was above amazing
Cons: I can honestly say that there was absolutely nothing i disliked
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful, kind and helpful. The first room I got was not so great, but I asked to change and they did it with no problem to a much nicer sunnier room.
Cons: the restaurant menu was not as extensive as it could have been and also the choices they had were rather mediocre. food was middling housekeeping staff was a bit sloppy.
7.5 Good
Pros: Décor is beautiful but rooms could use an updating/freshening. The staff were excellent and managed any requests rapidly. It is very nice to have free transport to and from to the UNC campus.
Cons: Our Room (#318) had a stained bed runner when we initially signed in. The clock in the room did not keep accurate time and could not be programmed. Both of these problems were handled by the staff appropriately. I found the room could have used a face lift.....new carpeting would help. The hot water faucet in the bathroom was loose making it difficult to turn off the water. The wall paper in the bathroom could be replaced to make the area appear fresher.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was very good. Staff friendly
7.5 Good
Pros: Food good but pricey.
Cons: Some of the room finishings appeared worn and needed attention. Surprised there was a tub instead of a walk in shower for this style hotel.

Pros: Great bed
Cons: Delicious food but bad experience in Crossroads
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a beautiful inn and location is the best.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally friendly and obliging staff, comfortable accommodations, terrific shuttle, just a few minutes away from Duke Clinics

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super clean and comfortable. Good location-close to University area.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It's not walkable to downtown Chapel Hill, but it was a short drive. There is a little village that is right nearby so there are restaurants and cafes you can walk to- even though it doesn't look like it at first.
Cons: If you want to encourage people to re-use towels make sure you provide enough options for places to hang them up.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I booked the hotel for a 1-night sleepover as we visited UNC. It was a very positive surprise; large and comfortable room, very clean and well functioning bathroom, super friendly staff both at reception and at breakfast area. Very quiet despite being right next to a quite busy road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and willing to go above and beyond at any time. I was unfortunately here because of someone in the hospital, and they showed every concern possible. The location was fantastic for the hospital, and they even provide a shuttle service to and from the hospital. The breakfast is pretty good too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!
4.2 Okay
Pros: The sign was lit
Cons: Never got our room. Ever.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is fabulous! It's close to UNC and has easy access to Southern Village through the 3rd floor. I live in Chapel Hill and I'm familiar with the area, but if I were just visiting the town, I would be so happy to have access to Southern Village. It's an easy and very safe, short walk. There's no need to take your car unless you just want to. It's kind of cozy and they have a variety of restaurants, a movie theater, a church, and Weaver Street Market; which is like a small Trader Joe's/Whole Foods.
Cons: I took off one point because the downstairs, public bathrooms (both male and female) had no soap available. The paper towels were not in the holder either. My dad said that the men's bathroom also did not have any soap and had trash on the floor. He said he was surprised because everything else was amazingly beautiful and clean (ie. Lobby, hotel room, bathroom in room, etc.) In all fairness, we should have brought it to the staff's attention, but we did not.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Didn't Eat at restaurant.
Cons: Don't change anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was extremely clean, room was big and plenty of room, bathroom was stocked well, Loved the table in the room (desk). Customer Service was really nice and quick check in.
Cons: Air Condition in the room was kinda noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable, showers had wonderful water pressure and it's a great location in Chapel Hill, NC. Overall the hotel is in great condition.
Cons: Wish the refrigerators offered freezers. Other than that everything else was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the staff, the breakfast and the cleanliness. I also loved the location. It was in walking distance of the southern village.
Cons: We could have used more hooks in the bathroom and a microwave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean & very friendly staff

8.0 Excellent
Cons: The restaurant lives a little bit to be desired. The bartender had to leave many times making the customer service for others be delayed. There needs to be more than one bartender on staff There were many times there was just no one there as she was getting the food for people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good, wonderful room and great location.
Cons: Nothing bad to say, wonderful place
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location of the hotel, the parking in the facilities was easy and free. It was a clean room, nice bedding, plenty of space in the room, comfortable bed, big kitchen (although we didn't use it). It had plenty of places outside to walk the dogs and a couple of poop-bag stations - it's a really good place to bring your pets. They also provide you with nice bathroom products that we had left at home. It's a really good deal all in all.
Cons: The internet was a bit slow, to be honest. That's about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety with fresh coffee! The room was more spacious than expected and laid out well. The bed was comfortable, the room was naturally well lit, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating!
Cons: Nothing!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was always helpful and friendly. They were always busy. The facility was very clean. The location was very walkable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing! I loved the suite and it really made me feel like I was at a home away from home. The bed was very comfortable and the swivel tv made it easy to watch tv in bed or turn it and watch tv in the living room. I also really like the iHome radio that was provided on the night stand!
Cons: I didn't like the motion sensor lights in the room - they turned off very frequently, even when I was moving around. The thermostat was also a little tricky to use but I had help from a friend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service and friendly staff
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super convenient (walking distance) to restaurants, bars, shopping. Quick Uber or long walk to downtown Durham. Large, clean, modern rooms.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was wonderful, clean and comfortable and the staff at front desk were great The staff in the breakfast room is very friendly and helpful
Cons: The breakfast was not that great I think the staff can attend to your room earlier. The cleaners came around to clean late afternoon ( after 3) There is a dishwasher in the kitchen which is great, but why do the staff use the dishwasher for 2 cups
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Suite was comfortable and clean!
8.0 Excellent
Cons: $100 pet fee is a lot. Almost as much as renting the room itself. I understand a $25-$50 fee but $100 is excessive and it is not stated anywhere on the homepage. Upon arrival, when I was told the amount, I was pretty much stuck with it. Will probably not stay here again simple because of that.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good facilities, clean, convenient

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We won the room from my job, for a one night stay. It was pretty great. The hotel itself was beautiful, I loved your gym. The beds were absolutely comfortable, my wife purposely sat in the seating area to watch the television just to make sure we used the whole room. It was so quiet and so nice. Would definitely stay again!
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. I understand the pricing due to location and honestly the niceness of the hotel, but it was extremely pricy for one night. Even though we didn't pay. I don't want to complain, like wow he had a free room and still saying we're expensive. Will definitely be back but probably won't have as nice of a room.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff members were absolutely wonderful and friendly.
Cons: Did not get to use some of the facility. Outside patio fire pits and sofa's cover up. Was looking forward to sitting outside with my husband to have a few drinks and enjoy our peaceful time together. Also for the money you spend there should be no holes in the sheets.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff should be more friendly
Cons: Staff attitude
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at JB Duke for two days while my husband recovered from having surgery at Duke hospital. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean. The food was fantastic at both the Marketplace restaurant for breakfast and barista drinks, and at the Lobby Lounge for dinner and cocktails. We will definitely stay here again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We almost got stuck because of a snow storm and the manager helped us out to change our schedule. We were there for my daughter's graduation and the location and everything about the facility were perfect. I like to use a hotel's fitness center and most are pretty limited and yours was excellent.
Cons: I liked everything

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Cons: Breakfast was an extra fee, parking was an extra fee. Rooms are nice but not extremely inviting. Overall a lot of extra cost for somewhat normal amenities.
6.8 Good
Cons: It is bare bones for the price you charge. It could offer some hand or body cream and with no carpeting in the room you should offer slippers (disposable ones). Also a continental breakfast for free as a number hotels (that were booked when I made my reservation) offer.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location location location! It’s also cool, and funky, with great art!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the very convenient location to restaurants and the easy access to the hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I booked my reservation through AAA but apparently it went through your booking.com which I was unaware of and there was a dispute about the bill at checkout but it was resolved... The artwork in a hotel and quirkiness was nice and refreshing
Cons: I did not like the $25 to park in their garage so I went two blocks away and paid $3.50. The halls were kind of dirty and the stairwells were real dirty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The layout was different but very nice one of a kind
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location with free parking at Corcoran St deck nearby. The hotel has an art gallery within - spectacular use of space. Rooms modern and comfortable
Cons: Bathroom could have been cleaned better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was extremely convenient with many wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance. The museum aspect was unique and wonderful. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would love to have an opportunity to stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The artwork everywhere truly makes it feel as if your staying in an art gallery. The decor was nice. There is lots to see and do in a couple of blocks.
Cons: The layout of the hotel as a whole is a bit confusing with elevators that only service certain floors and checkin on the 2nd floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the aesthetics and location.
Cons: Price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very good.
Cons: No problem
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amenities were generally good except the location of the room next to the elevator that creates unexceptionable noise. A premium room should be a discount room due to the noise.
Cons: This was my third stay and it was horrible. Check in clerk upgraded me he said. The bed was next to elevator room 405. Heard the elevator counter weight go up and down all night next to the room. Horrible night for what I payed. Never again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: History & Art emphasis, sleek rooms, cool staff, great location
8.3 Excellent
Cons: not unfriendly but not overly nice. my wife left a pair of boots in room and we contacted them the next day and were told we would not be able to find out from housekeeping until later . We were leaving town the next day at mid day and called again to see if they could please check for them before we left town . I was told there was no way to check and housekeeping had not reported back as of yet. So we left. two days later the hotel informed us they had her boots and would need to be shipped at our expense. Ok so fair enough, However this is a premium priced boutique hotel. Such hotels normally give service beyond expectations. That is why people are willing to pay the high prices. So without such service, the hotel might as well be a super 8. A little frustrating.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent. Art and on site restaurant amazing. Valet and doormen very helpful and personable. Love to Bulldega across the street for snacks and odds and ends.
Cons: The Unscripted pool has an all day DJ/pool party that I could hear in my room (this trip) up until 10/11 pm and that was somewhat annoying.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant, It was very nice, I also enjoyed the breakfast the next morning, it was quite the upper class experience.
Cons: The elevator needed to be faster/bigger, we ended up having to take the stairs the majority of the stay due to overcrowding. Although, this is not a horrible thing. Just an observation.

Pros: Roof top bar area and comfortable beds.
Cons: Lack of iron and board in the room. Parking outside of valet is inconvenient.

Cons: Cold toast
7.0 Good
Pros: People were courteous, smiling but not well trained . They fail to explain to me that I have to use the electronic key in the elevator fact which cause the elevator not to take me on the desired floor and then I was stack in the elevator and asked for help! When i went into my room i couldn't locate the closet so i called the desk and asked if there was a closet. A male voice told me: " No the room is small and we have no closet." I was surprised and asked for sleepers . He replied no we do not have but will ask my superior to find out! Then I asked for some hangers. Finally they sent upstairs a smiling young girl named NICE with sleepers and hangers. I told her my problem and she told me " Of course we have closet and sleepers and hangers . Here they are." and opened the closet. I apologized but told her that I called the desk and the man there told me there were not of the above. The girls was very informed and very polite!
Cons: NOTE! Once I worked as the Public Relations Manager in a five star hotel which had also a casino. Now I am a professor and a writer. The word is what I did abhor! What I abhorred was the breakfast! They say breakfast included! The breakfast was : Two miniature hard-boiled eggs, two half slices of burned bread with melted cheese on it and a cup of coffee! I was surprised . everything else you had to pay! I asked for salt and they took a small bowl and put some salt into it. Then I asked for pepper and gave me the one that grinds pepper. Then I asked for a tray to carry these things . They told me no trays. I asked for a napkin and they told me it is over there. It was a table cloth that within you could find the utensils. The people working there were not courteous, not well informed and somehow ironic! I had breakfast twice for I did not have the choice. When I complained about the breakfast a young man told me go around the corner they have breakfast. I told him I pay for breakfast. Then I took a picture of the breakfast and showed it to the desk and asked " Is this your breakfast? " She told me, yes! I asked only that? She replied the breakfast was complimentary! When I saw the picture of the breakfast to those who suggested the hotel to me they were surprised and told me " We will not recommend them again to our guests."
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed and location was great!
Cons: Shower setup was the type that gaps at the door such that water gets all over the mat and soaks it and the floor...couldn't figure out any way to avoid that. Not a big deal, but not great for the 2nd person showering.
6.3 Good
Pros: I enjoyed the rooftop in the afternoon.
Cons: Breakfast bar was very limited and directions for what you could pick was abrupt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. The staff was conscientious and thorough. The food was excellent. The restaurant was clean and quite good for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great.

Pros: Breakfast was great. The keepers were very nice and cordial. Would definitely use them again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying with Frank and Dolly (the owners of the B&B) was a great experience! And I would like to emphasize the word EXPERIENCE. The Blooming Garden Inn provided more than just a room to occupy for the night. They provided a friendly and personal experience that my girlfriend and I are sure to remember for a long time! We were there to watch Hamilton at the DPAC. We even had colonial outfits! It truly felt like we were staying at a family member's home. We were welcomed so warmly and left feeling like kin.
Cons: Using the Booking.com website to book with them. My reservations were almost cancelled because the Blooming Garden Inn did not have much of my information via the Booking.com website. Luckily, the owners were proactive in getting a hold of me to ensure they got all the information they requested to make sure my reservation remained in tact.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Frank and Dolly were like family to me and my g-dtr Harlow! We talked and talked, sharing our lives. I have stayed at many B&Bs, and Blooming Garden is at the top. Harlow asked "can we come back?"
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Frank and Dolly were incredibly kind and friendly, especially since we dropped in with very little warning and then had to cancel our second night. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were wonderful and very helpful
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was close to DPAC. The breakfast was fine.
Cons: We generally stay in B&Bs and we were surprised and disappointed to find that our room was not ensuite. Frank offered us a different room for an upgraded price. The decor was very dated and somewhat claustrophobic. We walked to and from DPAC but the neighborhood felt sketchy and we were not comfortable. The homeowners were too attentive, and we would have liked a bit more privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Innkeepers very friendly and filled with stories of the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Frank was extremely accommodating even driving us to our restaurant for dinner.
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice people and clean bathroom.
Cons: Nice people but we wouldn't stay here again nor recommend. It is a bit odd and disorganized. The place is very cluttered and you'll have to be careful walking around. We stayed in the Tiffany room. The full bed was uncomfortable and old. Keep in mind a full bed is a small bed (we are not big people). There is no shower attachment in the Tiffany room as well, just a stand alone bathtub. So you will not be able to shower. I didn't want to stay for the breakfast. Breakfast was at 9am then they changed it to 9:30am. Communication could be better. I sent our flight arrival details almost two months in advance and the owner even replied to that email. The day of check in he calls and says they have to go to their tax accountant between 2-5pm and never received my flight details.... So we made changes to our plans to get there earlier to check in as we needed to go back and change clothes before our friend's wedding at 5pm. The check in time was listed for 3pm in confirmation email. The owner had our information written in a yellow note pad. I'm a tax accountant, seeing this gave me chills about his level of record keeping. Communicationtion and organization skills could be better. P.S. I'm sure the tax accountant thing was an emergency since it was Oct 20th. And the owner was nice. I'm probably more of a hotel type. This place just met our locations needs and our options were slim.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the food was delicious the bed and room homey and welcoming. The hosts were outstanding.
Cons: The steps up to the porch were a little difficult.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: I had reserved 3 rooms and I wanted everyone who was going to pay for them for rooms to be to there name. All I got from the front desk person was “you know you doing the most right”. The room had this smell that was horrible like when something gets wet but not dried up. Every time we went to get breakfast there’d be nothing.
