Pros: My favorite place we stayed during a 2 week road trip. Beautiful quiet area, cute little private cabin with kitchenette. We loved the hot tub on the front porch which was perfect because the weather was cold.
Cons: Don't use GPS to find the place you will get lost. Turn onto Yale-Kilgore Rd from Rt 20. Old Shotgun Rd will be on your left, right after a confusingly worded blue sign about Eagle Ridge Ranch. The ranch will be about 2 miles down the gravel road.
Pros: It was in a beautiful location. There were lots of things to do. We took one of their rowboats and fished off of the floating dock. Caught some nice rainbow trout. The hot tub on the deck of our cabin was great! Really clean. Just a lovely place.
Pros: Very nice area to take a family if you want to get away from it all.
Cons: Unfortunately we did not have a family and it was too far on dirt roads for us.
Pros: Wonderful place to stay. Cabin was lovely with everything that you could want. The hot tub was a great bonus. Quite a drive to Yellowstone but worth it to stay in such a great place.
Cons: Nothing. It was great
Pros: The best part was the private hot tub on the porch! We also loved having a kitchenette and a grill outside. Since there are not many restaurants and such nearby, it was nice to be able to cook quick meals.
Cons: Absolutely not! It was perfect!
Pros: Hot tub; big room; can see coyote; great environment;.
Cons: Hard to get; the road is not easy to get through.
Would recommend the Eagle Ridge Ranch to anyone visiting the Island Park area. They offer horseback riding, canoeing and fishing on site. Great cabins! We hope to return with our family next time.
Pros: Nice cabin in a secluded area not too far from Yellowstone or gas/groceries. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer. Two nights was too short!
The ranch had lots of activities available, we only wish we had more time there to experience the activities. I loved the cabin and its amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and did all she could to make our stay the best. We traveled all over on our vacation and this was by far our favorite.
Pros: Loved this stop in our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was extremely friendly and helped make sure our stay was as best as could be. The cabin was very clean, and the hot tub was a very welcomed bonus after our travels
Cons: We were able spend much time at the cabin, but based on what we experienced there wasn't anything we would change.
Pros: My kids enjoyed looking at the horses and my son caught 5 fish in the catch and release pond so he was very happy. Even though they were totally booked for the night we stayed we had lots of privacy and no issues with noise.
There was a fire pit if we wanted to use it. The cabin itself was so clean and done up very well. It was a real log cabin. Looked just like the pictures and was very high quality everything. The bed was made out of logs. The sheets and towels were very clean and white. The bed was SUPER comfortable. There was no air conditioning in the room, but we didn't need it anyway, but there is heat (which we accidentally turned on thinking it was the air.) The owner was so friendly and down to earth. He told us all the things we could do on the ranch was was included in our room price; horseback riding, paddle boating, basketball, etc. Very hospitable. Absolutely LOVED this place and would come again in a heartbeat and recommend it to everyone who wants to be in a secluded place with high quality conditions.
Pros: Absolutely loved this place! Wished we had stayed for more than one night. There is so much I loved about this place! Our cabin at a hot tub on the porch. We were back in the woods in a private area. No one was staying in the cabin next to us.
Cons: It was a 30 minute drive once you got out of the West entrance at Yellowstone. But for the price and all the excellent qualities of this place, it was WELL worth it!
When visiting Island Park, Eagle Ridge Ranch is a great choice to consider. Guests can enjoy the spa tub, along with onsite hiking/biking trails, horse riding/rentals, and rowing/canoeing. All rooms feature patios and living rooms.
Cons: Lack of service, no towels one day, no soap or toilet paper another and rooms weren't made on 2 days.
Pros: Quaint with log furnishings but not Eagan one comfortable seat
Cons: See. Above
Pros: Character, outside chairs, river view, peaceful, great dinner
Cob webs hanging from ceiling. Not near as nice as expected for the money. Would never stay there again.
Cons: Outside not well maintained.
Anglers Lodge offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for USD 75 per person roundtrip. Guests can enjoy American cuisine at Riverfront Restaurant/Bar, which serves lunch and dinner, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Nice touches like deep soaking tubs, designer toiletries, and pillowtop beds with premium linens are offered up in all rooms.
Cons: I would have liked more & better plugs in the room for electronics.
The coffee pot needed to be cleaned. Someone poured coffee where only water should have been. This would be an outstanding hotel for snowmobile season. It was a good hotel for going to Yellowstone. But it is 20 min away and that means you have to go in and out of the park every day. Better to use this hotel for just 1 night on the way to or from the Park.
When visiting Island Park, Sawtelle Mountain Resort is a great choice to consider. Guests can splash around at the indoor pool or seasonal outdoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Microwaves and free WiFi are offered in all rooms.
Pros: The check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are attractive, but small. Location is very scenic.
Cons: The walls and ceiling are apparently VERY THIN. We heard doors opening and closing all the time, and were awakened in the early morning by the creaking floors above our head as people walked around. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee provided. Very disappointed.
Enjoy your visit to Island Park with a stay at Jared's Wild Rose Ranch Resort. Guests can enjoy the fitness center, along with onsite rowing/canoeing.
