Staff was very helpful. I would have liked more & better plugs in the room for electronics. The coffee pot needed to be cleaned. Someone poured coffee where only water should have been. This would be an outstanding hotel for snowmobile season. It was a good hotel for going to Yellowstone. But it is 20 min away and that means you have to go in and out of the park every day. Better to use this hotel for just 1 night on the way to or from the Park.
Character, outside chairs, river view, peaceful, great dinner Breakfast
The atmosphere, the surroundings Lack of service, no towels one day, no soap or toilet paper another and rooms weren't made on 2 days.
Lodge Outside not well maintained.
Quaint with log furnishings but not Eagan one comfortable seat See. Above
Leaving. Poor management, very unprofessional staff in appearance, behavior, customer service attitude. Our check-in...in a shabby room that looked like a unkempt bait shop--interrupted two staff member's tv watching. They seemed put-out by our arrival. One went outside and started shooting hoops. His unleashed pit bull dog rushed at us when we left after registering, and sniffed my wife. There was a push mower abandoned on the lawn next to the office entrance for three days during our stay. There was no parking near our building. The room had no place for luggage, no cups for water in the bathroom, no coffee or cups for the coffee maker, no kleenex, no housekeeping service--no beds made, no new towels during our two-night stay. The boat dock was an unsafe makeshift collection of planks. Bird poop covered the grassy area at the lake. There is no attempt to keep the property clean. We travel a lot and stay in hotels all over the country...and this is the very worst place for customer service I have ever seen! It is a beautiful location, but the poor management makes it not worth the money!!! We attempted to check out after the first night and management refused to amend the credit card bill to reduce the payment from two nights to one night. I was tempted to just write off the second night as a loss and leave...but we were spending the whole day hiking in the Bechler area , and not at the hotel much anyway. We wouldn't even consider eating at the restaurant here due to the shabby way the rest of the place is maintained. We will definitely not stay here again!
Very nice area to take a family if you want to get away from it all. Unfortunately we did not have a family and it was too far on dirt roads for us.
It was in a beautiful location. There were lots of things to do. We took one of their rowboats and fished off of the floating dock. Caught some nice rainbow trout. The hot tub on the deck of our cabin was great! Really clean. Just a lovely place.
Hot tub; big room; can see coyote; great environment;. Hard to get; the road is not easy to get through.
Wonderful place to stay. Cabin was lovely with everything that you could want. The hot tub was a great bonus. Quite a drive to Yellowstone but worth it to stay in such a great place. Nothing. It was great
My favorite place we stayed during a 2 week road trip. Beautiful quiet area, cute little private cabin with kitchenette. We loved the hot tub on the front porch which was perfect because the weather was cold. Don't use GPS to find the place you will get lost. Turn onto Yale-Kilgore Rd from Rt 20. Old Shotgun Rd will be on your left, right after a confusingly worded blue sign about Eagle Ridge Ranch. The ranch will be about 2 miles down the gravel road.
Absolutely loved this place! Wished we had stayed for more than one night. There is so much I loved about this place! Our cabin at a hot tub on the porch. We were back in the woods in a private area. No one was staying in the cabin next to us. It was a 30 minute drive once you got out of the West entrance at Yellowstone. But for the price and all the excellent qualities of this place, it was WELL worth it!
Loved this stop in our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was extremely friendly and helped make sure our stay was as best as could be. The cabin was very clean, and the hot tub was a very welcomed bonus after our travels We were able spend much time at the cabin, but based on what we experienced there wasn't anything we would change.
The best part was the private hot tub on the porch! We also loved having a kitchenette and a grill outside. Since there are not many restaurants and such nearby, it was nice to be able to cook quick meals. Absolutely not! It was perfect!
My kids enjoyed looking at the horses and my son caught 5 fish in the catch and release pond so he was very happy. Even though they were totally booked for the night we stayed we had lots of privacy and no issues with noise.
Nice cabin in a secluded area not too far from Yellowstone or gas/groceries. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer. Two nights was too short!
Good environment, facility, all tools in the room. Very considerate. Better if having Wifi.
Friendly staff Shower and bath room were smelly
Closer to Yellowstone, staff is really helpful, apt is great with attached bathrooms, kitchen with all amenities including refrigerator and dishwasher, three televisions one each in bedrooms and in living room, laundry inside the apartment....
roomy no air conditioning
Well maintenance. Perfect for family with children. Amazing environment. Distance to Yellowstone is a little bit long(20 minutes drive). No wifi in the room.
It had everything I needed. A bed, toilet, shower, towels, TV, etc. They didn't have an office. We drove around looking for it and had to call.
nothing ! there was no where to check in- no front desk- nothing !! I drove 1.5 hours to get there in a rainstorm and there was no one there to let me in to the cabin- I called the number and no answer either. I had pay to camp somewhere else. Worst experience ever
The owner was surprised when we called and said we would be coming with a pet. Although unhappy, they recognized that we had checked online and it was the fault of Kayak. They were willing to make a one night exception which they didn't have to do. All other accommodations that allowed pets we're full so we appreciated the exception very much. Kayak said the place is pet friendly (based on information from Expedia) but the owner said they have tried to make it very clear they allow service dogs only. We were allowed to stay the night, which I appreciate, but we were told to crate the dog while inside and keep it on a leash when outside. We were charged a $40 pet fee for one night.
