Beautifully restored and maintained historic building on a quiet side street in the heart of the old city, a few minutes' walk from all the main sights: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar. The rooms and bathrooms are intelligently designed and thoughtfully presented. Everything is immaculately kept. Superb breakfast, a remarkably generous buffet spread for such a small hotel. Best of all: the staff. Manager Murat and his charming, professional team could not do enough for us, from the awkwardly early moment we arrived (before dawn after a 4 am landing) to the afternoon of our departure. Waiter/porter Hüsnü, housekeeper Lilly, cook/waitress Gül, night manager Puriya, and Murat himself were all so kind, friendly and helpful. They made our stay feel special every day. A couple of tips: get up before dawn at least once to take in the stunning view from the rooftop terrace of sunrise over the Bosphorus and the Hagia Sophia, and if you like eating local, make a beeline for Rumeli, the locanta just up the street – a clean, friendly family place serving tasty food at ridiculously reasonable prices. For other recommendations and bookings, just ask Murat. He has all the answers!
Very close to all major sights. Room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was ok, small buffet.
We had booked for 4 nights with free cancellation. Our flight to Istanbul was changed outside of our control, so we could only stay 3 nights. Hotel still charged us for the 4 nights though. We seriously considered rebooking something else but it looked the nicest in the area. Would have been happy with the per night price for 4 nights, but was disappointed the hotel charged us for the full stay, even though we gave at least 1 month notice of our change in flight.
The Hotel, staff, and included breakfast ALL superb. Hotel location is absolutely perfect for a tourist.
We liked it ALL.
Friendly Staff Clean and very comfortable beds
Breakfast could be improved, more variation
Lovely little hotel, very nice stuff! Excellent breakfast come again! We really felt safe, warm welcomed and can recommend it! Street side rooms a little louder. Very central location
