Pros. The staff is very kind and are very fun. The hostel is right next to the metro station and if you buy ten tickets at a time it ends up only being 1.40 each way which is much cheaper than paying for a hostel further in the city, so long as you don't mind the extra 10-20 minutes in the metro each way.
Cons. The person who checked my friends and I in tried to buy a good review by giving us "free breakfast". We found the breakfast the next day to be severely disappointing: some toast and jelly and some cereal which had absolutely no flavor at all. DO NOT PAY FOR BREAKFAST. He charges 3.50 but tries to "give you a deal" when you check in for 2.00. There are a lot of scammers in Paris as you will soon discover and this one of them. You can easily walk down the street in the morning and find some nice pastries or buy something at the grocery store for about the same price and much more satisfying.
