Cons: My room had a kind of musty smell, don't know why. The lead housekeeper brought me a bottle of frebreeze to spray at my request. They had offered to move me but I said I would be okay. I sleep with a C.P.A.P. so it I don't smell anything in my sleep.

Pros: Cleanliness, friendly staff, and breakfast
Cons: Room amenities(microwave)
Pros: Breakfast was fine, staff very nice.

Pros: Nice rooms
Cons: There was no hot tub
Pros: Location and the Beds were great
Pros: Breakfast and view of Walmart
Cons: Swimming pool and work out looked bigger on website and pool was cold

Pros: Staff was very friendly. Golf course was amazing.
Cons: The accommodations are in need of major renovations. Carpet had several stains in our room and was coming up. Felt a bit dirty.

Cons: It was all good
Pros: The staff was very pleasant
Pros: Clean facilities, loved that there were two sinks and also the breakfast selections were great. Food was delicious
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Nice variety
Cons: Needed more staff to assist the one Gal trying to do it all. It was a sold out weekend. Ran out of items and one worker could not do it all
Pros: The room was very clean and nicely appointed.

Pros: Everything was easily accessible and the staff was very helpful.

Cons: breakfast was lousy, eating area tables were not kept clean. there was smell of smoke when i entered my room, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking
Pros: Bed/pillows were excellent. Nice location by the Big Buck.
Pros: We stayed one night and it was very comfortable. Parking was easy and so was check in. Great coffee.
Cons: We went to the gym which was just one room with three pieces of equiptment. The breakfast was horrible.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Room small
Pros: just what I expected not great but good
Cons: Very crowded area for the size of the hotel
Pros: There was hot breakfast, not just a continental breakfast. They had omelets, sausage, and you could make waffles. They had a good variety of food and were pretty good at stocking it. They had a window seat where you could sit and read, which was very nice. The rooms were pretty soundproofed and you didn't hear a lot of noise from the neighbors.
Cons: There was no elevator and I had to haul all of my stuff up the stairs. I would expect a hotel with an interior hallway to have an elevator. They had luggage carts where you could load multiple bags, but without an elevator, they aren't much use.
Cons: No elevator being over 79 and put on 2nd floor. Should note this in listing.
Pros: The breakfast was good, comfortable beds.
Cons: The AC might not be working. The room is warm
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Our bathroom ceiling had crud all over it, the bathroom floor had other people's hair stuck to it.....air unit was extremely dirty inside ..and the bed next to the air unit has mold on both sides of the box springs....thank God we only stayed one night.
Pros: Useful location. Nice staff! Clean.
Cons: AC controls not responsive to change. Getting worn finishes and broken tile in bathroom. SMALL signs at road hard to spot.
Pros: Nice place
Cons: Bathtub drained very slow, room was very noisy, a.c. did not cool the room well.
With a stay at Dixon Lake Resort in Gaylord, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Lake Huron and 7 minutes from Gaylord Discovery Center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was perfectly apt for our trip and intentions. The lake itself was lovely and very picturesque to wake up to. Pet friendly was also a bonus.
Cons: The lack of air conditioning was a significant detriment. The water temperature and pressure also left much to be desired, ranging from liquified ice to scalding hot; and the pressure drawing blood upon contact with skin (our son’s nipples were bleeding after his first shower).
Pros: Nice property, clean. Site didn't take my rating so here's my opinion... Staff odd, price too much for it.
Cons: Nowhere on site does it tell you for this motel, you need to clean before you leave. Also, doesn't tell you no guests allowed on site. All told once you arrive.
Pros: I liked everything about this place, Clean, Comfortable, Courteous Service, beautiful location !
Pros: Good value for the money
Cons: There was not anything I didn't like, it is what I expected for that price. It met our needs.
Pros: Great location, the owners are great!
Cons: Liked everything. Second visit.
Pros: The room was very old with kitchen and bathroom from. Dishes, pots & pans, silverware and utensils were thrift store quality. We did not take a shower. The room was worth half what I paid for it. I'll look elsewhere for my future travel needs.
Cons: The location was excellent!
Pros: Loved it! Very relaxing, cozy cottage feel. Owners were great, view was spectacular, beds were very comfortable. We will definately be staying there again.
Pros: The beds were very comfortable, very quiet even though they were full
Cons: The beach was down stairs and I have problem with stairs, nothing they could change
Pros: The place was probably cleaner than any motel/hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
Cons: Beds could’ve been firmer.
With a stay at Downtown Motel in Gaylord, you'll be steps from Lake Huron and Otsego County Historical Museum. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Price and 4 star rating were very attractive
Cons: It was clean, but holes in the tub enamel, outlet boxes not secure, towels were super cheap. breakfast was weak. Not a 4 star rating. At best 2.5
Pros: Perfect location for my purpose.
Cons: Continental Breakfast; a very unkept small display. More if a snack than a meal.Lication was oerfectLocation
Pros: Very quiet and clean. Only there to sleep so really not there long.
Cons: No complaints
Cons: Over-priced, but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Supply and Demand are in play.
Pros: The staff was reachable and agreed to refund.
Cons: Very deceiving. Dirty motel, not a 4 stars
Pros: The bathroom was clean and shower worked properly.
Cons: The bed was not very comfortable. Carpet needs to be cleaned. Continental breakfast pretty space. Coffee awful.
Pros: Actually pretty boring. Guy at the desk was nice but the place is a little run down for the price. Also the guest which is not the hotels fault were smokers and they put there ash’s and butts down on the ground in front of our door and around my motorcycle.
Pros: The room was clean and orderly. It is very close to several restaurants and shops. Owner/clerk was very pleasant
Pros: Very clean, everything worked and was comfortable. Recommend it to anyone. I had read reviews about the host but I didn't fin any problems at all, she was lovely.
Pros: The location was great and the price was even better. Rooms were clean, beds were super comfortable.
Cons: They advertise as having "free continental breakfast". All they had were store-bought 4pks of donuts, and warm brown water that I'm assuming was supposed to be coffee. The outside of the hotel looks a bit sketchy, but overall it was decent.
Cons: The web description is very deceiving. Out dated rooms.
Located in Gaylord, Otsego Resort is within a 5-minute drive of Otsego County Historical Museum and Call of the Wild Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access and coffee/tea in a common area. This resort has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: What breakfast?
Cons: No refill of shampoo and conditioner and not emptying coffee pot and giving me coffee refills
Pros: Room was clean and beds were comfortable and attractive. Beautiful scenery!
Cons: Upper loft was hot and it would have been nice to have a blind on the loft window to block the light.
Pros: This location has beautiful views and a charming lodge style atmosphere. We would love to revisit during the fall or winter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not a golfer, but I would recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil place to golf.
Cons: Never could identify the source, but some large system would intermittently switch on during our stay. Could have been the AC in the unit above, but it was noisy.
Pros: The room was nice, old but nice. The facility was so run down it was shocking. The roof on at least 2 of the buildings looked like it was going to fall in. The shingles were all curled up. The paint on most of the window frames was all curled up and peeling. I really was shocked that you would continue to rent rooms in the building that were so worn down.
Cons: They advetised the room for $86. but by the time the local, and state taxes etc were added on it was $146 for the night. We could of easily gotten in a newer facility that didn't look like it was on it's last leg. I am so surprised they can get away with the shape it is in with the county inspector.
Pros: Very clean large room with all the amenities Comfortable beds with really nice linens Surrounded by beautiful views.
Cons: Parts of resort need updating
Pros: We didn’t eat at the buffet on Sunday morning. It was to expensive. We went into town.
Cons: The whole compkex could use a little tender car. We drove in after dark. Complex not lit up well.
Pros: Staff was friendly,,
Cons: We played the Tribute and found it over priced by twenty five dollars. Cold water for shower in morning.
Pros: Just great! Comfy beds and fun ski lodge type room
Cons: Water in shower could have been warmer.
Located in Gaylord, Timberly Motel is a 5-minute walk from Gaylord Discovery Center and 12 minutes by foot from Call of the Wild Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great place to stay, especially on a budget!
Cons: Could use a few repairs... WiFi was hanging down out of the soffit
Cons: No pets
Pros: Everything was clean! The owners were nice people too. The air conditioning worked really well!
Cons: The place was a little outdated. You get what you pay for I guess but I was hoping for a little better. The housekeeper didn't change trash when she came into the room, just gave us new towels. I thought it was weird.
Cons: Very old and run down
Cons: This motel should be rated a -3 star instead of a 3 star. There is absolutely no way this motel has 3 stars. It was disgusting! There were holes in the walls and stains on the carpet and walls. Yuck!!!!
Pros: We had a bed to sleep in
Cons: When we arrived at 11 pm there was a sign on the door saying, No Vacancy and the office was closed. I tried calling, but no one answered, but a man approached me, who was in charge. He asked my name, and I told him I had a confirmed reservation for the night. He said he tried calling me, but I never got the call. He sold us a bedroom in the owner’s home for the same price of our reservation, plus the use of the main dirty bathroom. At least, we didn’t have to sleep In the car as all the rooms in town were full.
Pros: They did not want to give us towels was not very clean but for the price can beat it
Cons: They did not want to give us enough towels
Pros: Beds were fine
Cons: It’s falling apart it was a place out of the rain
Cons: We booked a room with 2 queen beds...room was not available when we arrived. We were given a key to room 51 which was supposed to be a room with 2 double beds...to our and the owners surprise, there was no room 51! We asked for our money back but were told that was not a possibility. We eventually were given a room at the front of the motel with 3 beds. The room was smelly and not very clean or updated.
Pros: Nothing, VERY VERY OVERPRICED. Should be about one third the charge. PRICE GOUGING!
Pros: The room was very clean. Good water pressure in shower.
Cons: Very dated but still quaint. Bathtub could use some grout. Office floor and door were grimy. Not a great impression when you first arrive.
Pros: It was a very nice place to stay and am planning on using this motel again on the near future. And place to stop on the way to the bridge
With a stay at Americas Best Value Inn Gaylord in Gaylord, you'll be steps from Lake Huron and a 3-minute drive from Gaylord Discovery Center. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: All staff was very accommodating to my requests and did everything they could to make my stay a pleasant one. The room I stayed in was clean with a fridge AND microwave. Marble sink was nice. You won't find better value at this price range in the area.
Cons: Some things are new, but some of the carpet and fixtures need dusting and/or updating (I heard a rumour that new carpet is on the way.)
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: Breakfast - I was told breakfast was from 6:30 to 9. I was there at 8:15, coffee urn was unplugged, coffee was lukewarm. There was only sausage and two bagels left. We had to leave to go out for breakfast. I wasn’t expecting a 5 star breakfast but virtually no breakfast was kind of disappointing
Pros: The place was new and clean
Cons: No elevator. Staff didnt talk or communicate when walking in lobby. Breakfast was horrible! Nothing was refilled and no one was monitoring it. We drove across to Burger King.
Cons: The person at the front desk was almost hilariously rude. He threatened to cancel our reservation (after we already arrived) just because we arrived a half hour after the time window we projected we might arrive. We indicated that we were traveling for work, it was not within our precise control that we were late, but also it is not standard hotel procedure to need to arrive by a certain time, nor did they make it known that we needed to. He even told us it was because he wanted to be able to go home. He made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is a shame because we were paying $100 to stay in probably the grossest room we've ever had to stay in, one of those rooms where you feel dirty just by being in it, had the old smoke smell of a bowling alley, all of the "amenities" were the cheapest possible quality and not enough of anything, I could go on and on - point is, hospitality was their one chance to make it a mildly enjoyable experience because being nice costs nothing.
Pros: Room was just ok, but I feel overall the comfort didn’t meet the expectations from what I read on booking. Com
Cons: We left a day early and paid cash when we got there. We didn’t get refunded for leaving a day early do to a family emergency and when we checked out we had to call on the front desk phone and was told to get a day refunded to contact booking.com - Nobody came to the front desk to even give me a receipt. I was told to leave the card keys on the front desk. I didn’t care for the quality of the rooms. Even asking for extra pillow and towels seem to be a problem. Breakfast wasn’t great. Very little to choice from. They should upgrade there breakfast standards for there customers. The windows in the room needs to be clean. Very outdated hotel.
Pros: Friendly and smiling staff Large clean & comfortable room AC TV and fridge worked well Plenty of hot water
Cons: Owner unfamiliar with area &couldn't advise. Other staff couldnt use English. Coffee made double strength in room machine was very weak. Coffee at breakfast area was like light beige dishwater. Room coffee maker full of eater. Towels small and old. Pric
Cons: Blood stains on comforter got no sleep due to lack of cleanliness
Pros: Check in was very easy
Cons: There was no conditioner in my room, the blow dryer didnt work, there was a dead spider in my bed
Pros: Fridge and microwave
Cons: They served spoiled milk and old donuts for breakfast
Pros: Inexpensive. Nice staff, clean.
Cons: Outdated. Offensive odor in the room like old cigarette smell still in the walls
Cons: Breakfast was terrible! There wasn't any food at 7:30 am. We think their whole family ate everything. There was mold on the shower curtain!!! Awful
Cons: Very disappointed that I could not cancel second night of reservation even though hotel would have done so.

Pros: On a night when absolutely everything was booked, it was the only room I could find. Looked like it was wonderful in its heyday but wasn't great now.
Cons: The mattress had a crater in the middle of it like a 500 lb person had slept there. The bathroom counter was held up by 2x4s. It was fairly clean but in disrepair.
Pros: Great breakfast.
Cons: Rooms dirty and dusty. Asked for an extra blanket but never received. Overall, was not well taken care of or clean.
Pros: The pool area was cool.
Cons: The WiFi did not work very good!!
Pros: Nothing! It is dirty and old. We had to sweep and mop. That’s how bad it was.
Pros: Beds were comfortable, TV was adequate. Fast food nearby, within walking distance
Cons: Floor had loose tiles sticking up and didn't look like they had been cleaned for some time.
Pros: Floors were actually clean, unlike the hotel we are in tonight. The pool, Sauna, hot tub area is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. The breakfast was top notch. Your receptionist staff was very good, and friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely go there again.
Cons: Cannot think of what that location could have done more.
Pros: the pool facilities and the breakfast
Cons: water pressure in the showers
Cons: The first room on second level was absolutely outdated and stunk real bad. Carpet was horrible. But the staff helped us out and gave us a different room that had been remodeled and was much better. I hope the continue to update it is a beautiful building
Pros: The casual style, recreation area, pool, breakfast area
Cons: My brother was in a wheelchair, it would have been easier to come through front entrance instead of back entrance to get to room. Wish staff would have given info. Some guests helped us out
Cons: Everything needs updating. The carpeting appeared stained, tv service was terrible. web site is not up to date, restaurant attached is closed, breakfast is filling but not tasteful.
Pros: The location was right off the expressway.

Pros: Clean carpet
Cons: Poor lighting in the parking lot, so bad the motorcyclists parked in the entrance portico.
Pros: Quiet and restful
Cons: Lobby was warm and noisy at time we registered
Cons: Pillows could use more seating outside
Cons: The beds are too stiff, and the hot breakfast food was not good.
Pros: Proximity to the expressway.
Cons: It needs so much repair work. From the outside, it looks like it should be closed!!!
Cons: Place needs update
Pros: Not much
Cons: The room farthest from the lobby. Dirty room. Could hear another rooms TV all night long. Didn't get much sleep
Pros: The only good thing about this property was us leaving.
Cons: The pool area was at 99 degrees. The ac in our room barely worked. This is pretty much a run downed hotel for a 4 star price. I would rather sleep in my car than this place.
Pros: There was not a restaurant
Pros: Love the large pool and common area to gather with friends and family.
Cons: It is in BAD need of repairs. I don't even know how they pass inspections. Rooms had extension cords to plug in lights.
Cons: Smoking outside all doors plus everything is very old and warn out
Pros: Location next to I-75.
Cons: The place was in shambles. Although they advertise an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and spa, only the indoor pool was available. The room was heated to 95 degrees but all ventilation was cut off. You could not open windows and all the doors were screwed shut.
Pros: Bed was ok and got a hot shower. That was about it for positives.
Cons: I told them what time I was coming and the door was locked with no one there when I got there. They acted like I was inconveniencing them for checking in at a late hour (my flight landed at TVC at 11pm). Needed to take off early and once again the door was locked with no one inside at 7am (when the sign said they were open). Overall bad service, average room, descent location...descent place to lay your head for a night but not a place I’d want to spend much time at or bring any family to.
Pros: I liked getting in my car and driving away .
Cons: The beds were gross , it looked like a giant blood stain on one bed. I opened the fridges that sat on the floor and there was an infestation under the door. There was cockroach on the floor another one in the bathroom. Above and beyond the worst dump I have ever started at.
Pros: Location is easy to find.
Cons: Not as expected and/or unprofessional. No room keys issued (or given) for access the room upon checked in. Only the master key was used to access the room by the manager/owner. The facility's Fitness room was locked and not accessible. Only (2) shower towels provided in Room #165 when checked in. No continental breakfast served by 6:30am (on 7-30-2017), as the sign on the main lobby stated that breakfast is served from 6:30 to 9:30am daily.
