We did have a little street noise, but we also had the window open. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Cooked breakfast or cereal/yogurt/fresh fruit/bread & butter. I don't eat eggs, so Melanie made me delicious Irish pancakes instead. She gave us great tips and maps on where to go for the day and for how to get to Doolin when we left. We got to meet her charming dad Pat, and her two cute children as well. Would recommend.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was amazing and so was the room.
Cons: The spa wasn't great
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location and quality of food in the Falls Restaurant
Cons: 1. Check in was a shambles. One receptionist started processing us, then suddenly got up and left with no apology or explanation; we had to start the whole process some minutes later from scratch with a different receptionist. 2. We had responded before our stay to an e mail from the hotel asking us if we required restaurant reservations at the hotel; we responded, using the link provided, requesting reservations. These were not made and the restaurant staff were rude and condescending over the absence of the bookings. 3. Servicing of the room needed to be requested late in the afternoon on returning from an excursion to find the room had not been attended to despite us having been out for several hours 4. Check out was a disaster. Having advised the front desk on the evening before that we would be checking out early the next morning - 7.15- ( and offering to settle our account that evening), we were told that there was no need to do so since the front desk would be staffed at that time. As it happens, the front desk was deserted at 7.15. After waiting 10 minutes, I used the telephone on the front desk to call Housekeeping - a lady there, in fairness, said she would try to locate someone for us. It took a further 10 minutes for someone to appear. Unfortunately this individual was unable to operate the credit card machine or to provide any form of receipt from the machine. I have no idea how much ( if anything) has actually been charged to my card - although I was asked to sign a blank credit card payment slip ( which I declined to do since it would have constituted writing a blank cheque). All in all a very disappointing stay at Sheen Falls. I do not blame the staff. All of the failings were symptomatic of poor leadership and management at the hotel.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent - we managed to park at the rear of the property. The room and en-suite were spacious and spotlessly clean with plenty of hanging space, iron and ironing board as well as a tea/coffee tray (on request) Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had and the staff were wonderfully welcoming and friendly We ate dinner here too which was also very tasty. Would definitely stay again if in Kenmare Thank you
Cons: The hairdryer is attached to the bathroom wall so if you like to blow dry your hair pop a dryer in your case . Not a massive issue if you are prepared There wasn’t anywhere to sit if not in your room as the bar downstairs was so lively and popular it was full - but there are lots of bars immediately outside the door so we were able to go out instead

7.0 Good
Pros: Best shower of the 6 places we stayed at on this trip. Good breakfast. Very clean room and house. Good location unless you want to walk into town (we didn't).
Cons: No sitting areas for guests, no lounge, and it wasn't clear whether guests were welcome in the backyard or any other part of the house other than the room. Unusual for a B&B (and I have stayed in many). Breakfast only available from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. (also unusual for a B&B) so unless the weather is suitable for dining on the deck, everyone stampedes into the small breakfast room at 8:30 sharp. There were only two of us but we booked (and certainly paid a premium for) a Triple room because there was no Twin available at the time, but the single bed was too uncomfortable to be taken seriously, so we just put the luggage on it and ended up sharing the king, which was not our original intention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place to stay. The overall standard of accommodation is very high. Everything is spotlessly clean. Rooms are well equipped, we loved having a fridge in our room. The hosts really look after the needs of guests. Location is great. I would recommend this place for a stay in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location (the house and the town) to stay a few days and travel around the ring of Kerry and the Beara peninsula. Perfect stay, the only 10/10 of our holiday.

Pros: The service is unbelievable - the staff couldn't be any more helpful or friendly. The food is fantastic - I had the nicest dessert I ever had during dinner. The view over the bay from our room was fantastic and the room itself was very comfortable and well laid out. The seating area is separated from the sleeping area and the tea box was a classy touch. The facilities are great, especially the spa and the pool. They also run many free activities every day for guests, which is a nice touch.
Cons: It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for! Hard to find negatives, but the TV in the room is a cheap one and there is no iron in the room (although I'm sure it can be ordered, like the tea box).

Pros: The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent! The owners are very lovely, hard working people so if I ever get back to Kenmare I would definitely stay again! It was also right above their pub which had good food and great live music (which you couldn't hear from the room which was great)! It was right in the heart of town and an easy walk to anywhere.
Cons: The WIFI could have been better. It didn't work in our room so we had to go to the breakfast room to get on the WIFI but it was a quick jaunt down the hall and there was a comfy little couch to sit on.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to the ring of Kerry, and within walking distance to the town of Kenmare.
Cons: Breakfast seemed to be of poor quality, over cooked pastries and not very well laid out.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The family orientated theme spread throughout the hotel which was great for our 4 year old. The hotel is located just outside Kenmare Town (possibly a 10 minute walk to the centre). The pool / spa facilities are also a great addition. The food in the bar and restaurant was very tasty. I would highly recommend.
Cons: The only negative during our stay was the room being very warn. Granted it was very humid out but maybe a fan might be available for guests if they require it.
