Pros: Clean and tidy , home from home, good supply of tea and coffee facilities, water and biscuits. Games room and lounge were lovely. The garden and view from the property is very pleasant. Friendly owner and a warm welcome on arrival and throughout the stay. Very good value for money.
Cons: The stay was not long enough.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was an ample sufficiency and more facilities than many hotels offer. Especially nice was a large lounge where guests can make themselves at home, relax, read the paper or watch TV rather than just in a bedroom. The owner Ian could not be more friendly and helpful while the property affords a lovely view of the Angus fields,, hills and glens and is a short walk to the Town Centre with its restaurants and other attractions. Ian welcomes you to use the dining table if you prefer to take something home to eat. Can't fault the place.
Cons: Small Guest House so the breakfast menu cannot be expected to be limitless but you'll not starve and what is offered is more than sufficient.

7.5 Good
Pros: Both very good
7.5 Good
Pros: Overall clean, fair-sized room, shower OK, breakfast was good, hot, and on time.
Cons: Being on a 3rd floor walk up. Tough for those of us who are older. Very hot temps while there, they could have equipped us with a fan. Left a box of candy in the room by mistake. They knew full well we were coming back the following week for 2 nights but they consumed it. I would have thought that they would have kept it until we came back and told us that it had been left. This box was given to us as a gift for someone we were visiting in Scotland. Fully would have understood if we were not returning. Also, no sample shampoo etc. in bathroom for our use. A little disappointing as we were at the end of our trip and out of hair conditioner.

Toiletries, towels, hairdryer, ironing facilities and coffe & tea making facilities are provided. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. You can get a full English and/or continental breakfast.
Cons: There's absolutely no signal so there's no point in using a mobile phone or tablet. There's WiFi but only in the public areas in the main building e.g. the pub, restaurant. It would've been better if it was accessible in the rooms.. The food in the pub / restaurant is good but far too expensive for what it is - pub grub.

Pros: The scenery here is absolutely stunning. So peaceful and some good walks plus they have their own Loch which made for some good fishing
Cons: It would have been better if the food offered wasn't so restricted and that a fuller menu was available for the evenings. Having only one menu to choose from both during day and night made it very limiting

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff where very friendly the owner was very helpful and accommodating. Would differently stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff from check in to the bar to the wait staff were great. We arrived and I had no idea they had a restaurant inside. Since it was getting late and we did not want to go find a bar we put our names down for an 8 pm dinner. But by 7 we were starving. The hosts behind the bar let us order some simple foods to tide us over. I don't think that is normally allowed but they did it and it helped a lot. They were helpful a ton and that speaks volumes. Then there are the rooms. The beds and the rooms are nice. The rooms are on the big side and so are the beds and since I am over six feet tall that is very welcome. My room also had a desk/workstation and that was a bonus. The bathrooms while nice was a little on the small side, but I don't spend a lot of time there. Then there was the food. Dinner was excellent and we were all glad that we stayed there. And then there is breakfast. You get a selection of warm food and then there is the cold food which was just fine. Nice scones and muffins, cereal, juices, etc. Plenty for the party of five we were traveling with.
Cons: I didn't like that they took care of us so well. And it there was a car park in the back where we could keep the car while staying there. Well, I guess there was nothing I didn't like except that we only stayed one day.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: No major concerns.

Room rate was expensive for the area .

Cons: Hair dryer and iron not available in rooms but were easily attainable at reception. Maybe 2 shower gels and shampoos in the showers instead of one ?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed and large room. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.
Cons: We had to be back at the hotel by 10pm... I know there was a number to ring if outside of these hours but we felt we were being a nuisance if we had to ring so we made sure we were back by 10pm. The last night we just made it!!
