Pros: Good facilities, good meals , great onsen and surprisingly quiet sleeping area given the dorm facilities.
Cons: No bathroom on the sleeping floor was inconvenient.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the ski in&out is perfect convenient!! the meal and onsen included are good as well
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Unique building, great common spaces with views of the mountain, cool dormitory beds which more privacy and space than a normal dormitory, great onsen/ice bath/sauna, and staff are very helpful
Cons: Not much could be improved apart from the bean pillows. Westerners might struggle with these but you can always fill the pillow case with clothes or something softer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location right off the slopes, thoroughly enjoyed a lovely Onsen on-site after snowboarding, kitchen was so accommodating of my gluten free diet, serving me lovely meals with no issues or hassle at every meal, gave me many options so I was always satisfied, highly recommended for coeliacs! Shared lodgings were a little noisy, as to be expected so take ear plugs, drinks and snacks are limited to buy at Geto so think about bringing your own.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Being steps from the gondola was fantastic. Loved having a japanese-style dinner and breakfast included, made everything so easy. The onsen was lovely.
Cons: The shuttle to the resort only ran in the morning and the shuttle back to Kitakami only ran from 2pm. If you miss the shuttle you need to pay around 8,000 JPY for a taxi. This isn’t a fault of the accomodation but more of the resort as a whole. Please be aware of this when travelling to/from Geto.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Prime location steps from the gondola and an amazing staff. Felix was a huge help for us ganjin and an amazing ski guide as well! Thanks everyone, can’t wait to come back and enjoy more epic powder days!!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: food was good location to the ski slopes
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Ski in / out location, warm and comfortable , good value for money
Cons: Long trek downstairs from dormitory to toilet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There is a sauna as well as the excellent onsen. Everyone is very respectful and the staff always smiling. I left my snowboard jacket in the driving room. They had it couriers to where we stayed in Tazawako
Cons: Lights could have been darker at might in dorm.......I will just take sleep mask/eye covers next time.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: a shuttle bus to the resort in the pm on weekdays would have helped a lot of people. Also an earlier than 1650 departure time on weekdays would help.

Pros: Free shuttle to the train station was great. Front desk was very helpful with directions for meals and traveling. Good English support.
Cons: The address was incorrect from on GPS. We spent over an hour trying to find the correct address.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were helpful and friendly
Cons: The carpet was stained and room had a musty smell. The hotel is not in a good area.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Thanks for the kindly help of hotel staff!! We lost our WiFi pocket on train, the girl help us to find it and very sweet to print the map let us to find it easier. I will recommend it and hope to reserve it in the future. All of the staff here are full of passion!
Cons: Public time for female is really short and the time is bad
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel is quite a fair way from the station, so booking a shuttle with the hotel is a must for transporting luggage. Other than moving our luggage to and from the station when we arrived and departed, we walked everywhere. It's a small and quiet town in general, but this part of town is exceptionally quiet though there are some family restaurants around. There are also free bike rentals but we didn't use them as it rained the whole time. Staff were friendly and the coin laundry was very helpful.
Cons: The bottom floors are smoking rooms and the top floors are non-smoking rooms, and the elevator smelled terribly of cigarettes. We didn't use the onsen baths but it seems there's only one and there's a schedule of when females can use it and when males can use it (females are restricted to only a few days which is quite unfair!). The hotel and rooms are looking a bit old, and the room was surprisingly small considering it wasn't in an urban town or central location.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are pleasant and accommodating.Foods are healthy and delicious. The location is very good because it is near in the city center. Free shuttle is a plus and the free bicyle was just so amazing because it allows the visitors to roam around the city. I just love motein hotel.
Cons: Mr. waiter in the food area was so pitiful. His sweat was running down in his face while serving the foods but that's not the problem anyway. I'm so amazed how hard working he is and it broke my heart that he was alone serving in that very busy environment. I gues the hotel should and probly would add some staff to accompany him in serving the customers I mean helping him in refilling the foods rather.
7.5 Good
Pros: Free shuttle service to Kitakami station. Staff were very kind and the onsen facility was super.
Cons: Just for your information: Only one Onsen. At weekdays no Onsen for ladies. :(

Cons: The style is somewhat outdated, very slow WIFI.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the location is great, very close to the east exit of the Kitakami station, and walk only 5-10 mins. we got the room facing the river, so it's very beautiful when you're looking out esp if it's Spring, there'll be Sakura all over the places. The room is equipped with all of the things you need. we haven't had breakfast there, but it looks very nice from the ad in the hotel :-)
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The Wifi in our room was very poor it often dropped out as the signal strength was very low. Seems there was only one access point on our level (8).
5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to the Cherry Festival, it is the only reason to stay at this place.
Cons: No porter to carry your bags. The staff was indifferent. Showed up at the restauraunt after traveling for ten hours, fifteen minutes before close and they wouldn't let us in to eat because they were closing in fifteen minutes. The taxi driver that was sitting at the hotel in the morning would rather read his comic book and wouldn't take us to the train station.
7.5 Good
Pros: Handy location not too far from Geto ski fields. Easy access to parking below the hotel. Nice river views.
Cons: Breakfast food and eating room atmosphere way ordinary. Beds and pillows were hard.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the best hotel we stayed during our last nine days spring trip to Japan. Check in and check out were smooth and the staff were humble. Room was of decent size at that price and the facilities were also fine. The hotel is located some five minutes walk away from the Kitakami station west exit. Tensochi park is at walk-able distance away from the hotel.
10.0 Excellent

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Surprisingly decent room size for the APA chain. Rooms were clean and tidy, nice staff.
Cons: I honestly don't think that the APA are cost effective in relation to other hotels.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly
Cons: Unfortunately we could only get a smoking room... Was a lot worse than I thought it would be
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, very clean, quite a large room. Has a free onsen which is always welcome. Coin-operated washing machines so you can properly clean your clothes instead of handwashing and drying them
Cons: It's a little old, you can tell, they still have the old stuff like knobs for the a/c, but it's offset by how well maintained everything is. It's deceptively far from the station. Objectively yes it's 10 min walk but when you arrived at night after a day's travels and you're bringing your suitcase it feels a lot longer. Onsen is male only, none for females
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was ok. We were given meal vouchers/tickets daily for our breakfast. When you arrive to their dining area, you give the host your meal ticket and in turn you are given a tray with your food. It wasn't a typical buffet style breakfast but more a tradition Japanese breakfast. For the money you pay, you're better off going out to eat and having a choice in what you eat unless you enjoy the traditional Japanese breakfast of cold sausage, cold eggs, cold fish (with bone in) as well as steamed rice.
Cons: Upon arriving at the hotel, the lobby smelled of sausages. Initially, we thought it was because they were cooking but it seemed that the lobby always had that smell. The hotel room we booked was for a non-smoking room but when we got to our floor via the elevator the hotel smelled of cigarettes as soon as the elevator doors opened. Our hotel room also smelled of cigarettes so we purchased some room deodorizers. After a week of smelling the smoke, we could not take it so we checked out a week early and got a room elsewhere. The hotel also stated that there is a coin operated laundry facility. When my wife asked where the laundry facility was located, she was told that washer/dryer is located in an area that was dedicated for men only (was located in the men's community spa). Needless to say, we did our laundry at the other hotel that we stayed at.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great spacious room with good facilities. Easy walk to near by station and malls.
Cons: Only had a male public bath.
6.3 Good
Cons: Location, small room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I like their staff, so hospitable and easy to communicate even I'm not good in Japanese. And I appreciated their costumer service
Cons: The pillow is a bit hard. Not soo comfy.
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were great
Cons: The bed was too small for a couple
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location was fine, near some restaurants
Cons: Room very small, Wifi terrible, onsen for men only
