The hotel and it´s neighbourhood was very nice
In the off-season period we had to reserve a table in the restaurant a day before, otherwise the cook was not there and we could not eat anything. The nearest restaurant was in the next village
Lovely and cozy location; dog friendly; nice breakfast and view
Communication could have been better - we booked through booking.com but there was no information on how much it would cost to stay with our dog (only the information that „additional charges might apply“). I sent a message asking about this and only got a reply asking if I want to book a table in the restaurant... it was 300sek for the dog. There was a waterbowl and a small-medium size, thin dog bed/pad provided. A nice touch, but our dog is a Great Dane so it was not of much use for him...
Really enjoyed the location, the menu was designed to reflect the food in season and was beautifully presented. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
It was quite easy to hear the people in the adjacent room, I don't think they were being particularly loud either which was a little disappointing. When the desert came, the panacotta was still a little frozen at the centre, which was a shame but it was otherwise perfect and still delicious.
Breakfast was delicious, although it was a shame no granola was offered (as we found in every other hotel in Sweden) - maybe they had run out on the day we were there?
Room small, but main issue was connecting door with neighbouring room which was extremely thin, so we could hear everything said/ when someone sneezed/ snored etc. This was made worse by the fact the door was literally next to the bed and their bed must have been equally close, so you felt like you were sharing a room with strangers. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable and certainly did not lead to a good nights sleep.
Herring lunch buffet was excellent.
Lobster dinner was a disappointment. The soup was three spoonfuls. The lobster was the size of a shrimp. Dessert was three spoonfuls. Expensive. It was as expensive as a Michelin restaurant in Gothenborg.
