Pros. Rooms were spacious. Great location: right on Railay West beach
Cons. Front desk staff was rude, unhelpful, dishonest, and always trying to charge extra for something. They told me if I booked 2 additional nights I would receive a free massage. As soon as I did, they told me they were "out" of the massage promotion. This was over a course of literally 3 minutes. How do you run out of massages? The spa is 80 feet from reception and I could visibly see four massage therapists sitting on their phones! When I noted this, only then did they agree to give me the massage promotion, oh but now the price changed: the price now was an extra $20 per night. The blatant dishonesty of this runaround was infuriating! They try to rip you off by charging 1500 baht ($50) for an airport transfer. Do yourself a favor and book an airport transfer from one of the travel agencies on the beach near "Walking Street" for 400 baht ($13). Food is mediocre. Go next door to Railay Bay for more tasteful options.

Pros. As far as the location this was a great deal. You definitely want to be on West Railay. East is cheaper, but it smells a bit like an open sewer. We were just a minute walk from the beach with access to two pools, a tasty buffet breakfast and easy access to the other parts of the peninsula. No complaints!

Cons. It was very cheap for the quality by USD standards, but hotels on the east side that are pretty comparable can be found for much cheaper and just a slightly longer walk from the beach.
