Nice view to harbour and sea. Excelent grilled food on 12th floor. There was no printer in whole hotel!!!
Free wifi is not available in all the rooms. The lobby is crowded with web surfers.
Nice view on the city and the sea of Klaipeda from the bar/restaurant on top of the building.
Location. Beautiful seaview. Bathroom.
We went to this hotel for the first time. Good food on the 20th floor, the design of the room was great (delux room) Great variety of activities. The staff at the reception desk was very unfriendly and not helpful. Nobody helped us with the luggage. It was very cold in the room, even after they brought us the heater. Shampoo and gel is very cheap and not acceptable for a 4star hotel. The floor in the bathroom would get very wet after taking the shower. How do you suppose to drink the beverage out of the minibar if there is no bottle opener? Again, the major problem with employees. We are not coming back.
very good location: a few minutes' walk to the old town, the ferry terminal and other major attractions, accessible also by public transport - take bus no.5 and 8 and it's just 3 stops from the train station. We lived in the new wing and the room is air-conditioned. Good breakfast too. We would expect improvements to minor details such as provison of body lotion, shower caps, laundry service for a 4-star hotel. The hotel gives only a small packet of hair and shower gel for each guest.
Convenience to restaurants, bars and shops in Old Town 1. When I arrived, I was assigned a room in the old non-air conditioned section which was very small. There were two single bids that had to be tied together by the hotel staff to make a bed, large enough to be comfortable. I asked the front desk staff to let me know if there was a cancellation in the new section of the hotel. There was and I was promptly notified. The hotel staff has always been courteous and attentative.
Mostly friendly, at least correct staff. I booked a deluxe-room with a wonderful view on the harbor and the Curonian spit. Breakfast was very good and included in the price, and so was Wifi in the rooms. The room-safe was locked when I arrived, so I called the reception. They gave me a code with which I could open it. After I had set my own code and locked the safe, it was still possible to open the safe with the pre-set code I got from the reception. When I asked for this to be changed, the receptionist couldn't see the problem and just gave me the safe key, which was really useless, because the safe still could be opened by everyone who knows the pre-set code. This is not what I would call "safe".
Isolation between rooms are pure. I heard quite clear what our neighbours are talking.
I liked the design and layout of the Hotel also the facilities were first class restaurants were excellent and the most important thing was that the staff were helpfull, friendly and professional!
Nice SPA facilities although a bit cold. Good breakfast. It's far from the city.
just room. all, reception people- terrible- dont speak in englush, russian, dont know anything , restourant offers- terrible, no chash mashine, too exensive.
It was a nice hotel with clean and well airconditioned rooms. Friendly staff. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was dissapointing. For a 5 star hotel the varity for breakfast was poor. If you were having breakfast half an hour before closing there were almost no food left.
good hotel in bad location
Spa and rooms
The hotel staff was friendly and opened. 1. in the booking.com it is written that no charge for kids is taken if no extra beds. we were with 2 kids and each was charged for EUR 12. 2. Nevertheless the kids were charged, they were not allowed to all SPA zones, they could use 1 jakuzzi and 1 deep pool. the hotel is kids unfriendly. we were not informed before paying that the kids are not allowed everywhere with parents. when trying to take aroma saunas, we were not in the kindest way informed that they are not allowed, as spa is a quiet zone and guests would be disturbed. but in this area there were no one!!! kids room cold and with no supervisor, what is not normally. so we were trapped with kids. misinformation in the booking.com
A very high standard hotel carefully landscaped within an area of tall mature trees in a pleasant quiet residential area. Our room was simply excellent. We were made to feel welcome on arrival. Palanga itself is a lovely Lithuanian seaside town with long sandy beach, cycle paths and wonderful Botanical Gardens all close to the hotel. The town's noisy street lined with restaurants and bars is far enough away not impact on the tranquility of the hotel but is only 5 minutes walk when required. N/A
Great customer care, excellent restaurant. Perhaps it's the very best hotel in Lithuania for today.
Perfect place. Nice new building. Good breakfast. You can use indoor swimming pool ans sauna only till 16.00
Excellent design hotel and location
excellent location, beautiful rooms with a great sight, swimming pool.. nice restaurant and good breakfast
great place to stay and food is great. rooms are nice and clean. hotel surrounding is beautiful. outdoor pool is big. expensive, but really the best hotel in Palanga small sauna/pool area (just 4 chairs...) and gym area is closed now
Beautiful building, gorgeous well kept grounds and pool and great breakfast None!
We liked friendly staff, location and spa area. A little bit overpriced.
Everything. The hotel & staff were wonderful & very supportive of British people. They had good English which made our stay easy. The accommodation was perfect for our needs,
The atmosphere, eating, hotel staff - excellent, everything very very ok nothing
The apartment was very well equipped and very stylish in all aspects. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast buffet was ok.
Goede morgen. Dank u wel for nice two days/nights in your hotel.Very experience staff and quite atmosphere inside.Great spa apartments, recommend to visit it. nothing special, perhaps small underground parking place
Comfortable design hotel rooms, good Spa facilities, very kind hotel staff, good breakfest.
Nice clean and modern rooms, garage included ok, effective airco (+30 outside), free wifi,
Po vsem parametram na vse 100 ballov ! Po chashe takie skidki, i budet zelanie priehatj daze na uikend!
exceptional accomodating help by all staff at the front desk - always helped with all and any needs we had
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly with tips about the area and some local restaurants and we'd like to thank them. The rooms were modern, comfortable and clean but not so spacious. Very good breakfast. Private parking. No restaurant or lobby bar in the hotel. Children´s playground could be better equipped.
Very good hotel. I liked everything, room was clean, staff was very helpful.
The hotel was nice, modern and clean with nice staff and central location. The room was big and it was great with the kitchenette. The hotel is located in a quiet area near the beach and a short walk from the city. We enjoyed the stay here! Everything was nice.
Attractively designed modern building, nice room with very pleasant outside sitting area, excellent housekeeping, very convenient for beach and for forest walks. Pity there is no evening bar or lounge area. Visitors need to be aware that not all staff speak English.
Nothing!!!!! Breakfast was poor, room was not cleaned, toilet bowl was broken, WiFi did'n,t work, room calling for capital repairs, I hope that I never come back to this hotel.
Large, comfortable rooms. Reasonable location. Log fire in Reception! Rooms need refurbishing. Now rather expensive for a basic hotel
We liked the big rooms and the airconditioning. We liked that we could sit outside for our breakfast. It was a pity that the swimming pool was only opened for a short while in the mornings.
We loved everything about the hotel, in particular the food and the staff, they were so helpful in every way, remember we are English and cannot speak Lithuanian. nothing
It was close to Baltic see.
We stayed here off season - this seems to be mainly a conference-type hotel, but it's within a 10 minute walk of the town, and right across the street from the trails that lead to the Amber Museum and the sea. The hotel was basically empty, since it wasn't tourist season, and there were very few business travelers. The hotel was decorated in a type of Danish-modern style, all very new, very clean. The rooms were good-sized, and the bathroom had a heated tile floor, so after a hot shower it felt like a sauna. Breakfast was included, and was a buffet of breads, meats, cheeses along w/ fish (I think herring, and other pickled fish.. Not my thing, sorry). The staff all spoke very passable English (overall, I was very impressed with how many people spoke English.. Not what I was expecting!) The nearest atm machine is in the town, and on the boardwalk (tho the one on the boardwalk was closed since it was off-season). We were very happy with Gabija, and felt it was an excellent value. Although there were very few guests at the hotel, I think they put them all on the same hall with us, and they all seemed to want to stay up much later than us! However, things quieted down, only a very minor downside.
Location and spacious rooms. The rooms were not cleaned daily only the bed was made! I had to ask twice for towels as they were not replaced, the shower and toilet was never cleaned during our stay. I had to ask for toilet paper as it was not replaced. No wifi was available even though it states that it is available in the public areas of the hotel. Overall it was very poor for a four star rated hotel.
excellent location. beside beach and beside woodland area and just a five minute walk from town centre. very clean and comfortable hotel.
Excellent quiet location in close proximity to the center. Tasty and diverse breakfasts. Good rooms. Nice staff. Perfect Internet connection (thougn not wi-fi). Rather high prices. Our room was just at the top of the reastaurant and during the last night there was a very loud concert in the restaurant. It was very noisy at our room and we managed to sleep only at 2am or something like that. It had severely worsened our overall hotel experience.
Very spacious and nice decorated rooms Bad breakfast buffet. Very limited choise of food
Exellent staff and service
Nice breakfast selections, Close street parking, Proximity to Water Park. In a very nice area
Breakfast was great, staff- very helpfull, very clean hotel. I would always recomend Alanga.
The location was very convenient for Palanga The beds were not beds....they appeared to be a short chaise lounge. The sheets were not fitted and would slide off exposing the "couch" part. The front desk staff were extremely unpleasant and appeared to be in pain when attempting a smile.
Very good location - close to station, Basanaviciaus street and the sea. The staff is friendly and not annoying. The hotel is in the quite place. Nice bathroom and balcony
Ideal location for nighlife and beach. Situated in a quiet area, but only a few minutes walk away from the attractions. Had to pay for use of pool, even though I was a paying guest at this hotel
Good breakfast and not the same every morning. There was in the room a peculiar smell. Probably the wall-to-wall carpet, which was stained. Balcony is useless, narrow and no furniture to be used there.
Convenient position, near the town centre. Free parking. The hotel and room were clean. Rich breakfast. Conciergerie staff looked a bit suspicious and cold.
Used the botanic garden for walks, several times, Spa (hotel), went to the pier, dinner in town, visited the Amber museum and a linen shop. I missed an outdoor terrace.
restaurant in this hotel there was very poor fan
rien poor lunch service - expensive rate
Easy walk to the beach.
We had some problems with breakfast.
Nice hotel in good surroundings. We are very glad with stay in this hotel. No
Big suite Perfect location A/C broken, customer service is lacking. We got back late to the room and found that the room was hot, and the air conditioning was broken. The hotel was fully booked for the festival "Juro Svente", so the staff was unable to relocate us to another room. We could not open the windows to cool the room because there was a load restaurant and busy square below, with smokers under the window. The room was hot and we were stuck. The person at the desk explained that others were having similar issues, and offered a fan to cool a family of 4. Upon checkout, we explained that the reason we booked the hotel is because it had air conditioning, and that we had an uncomfortable night. We were offered a "soft drink" for our terrible night. We asked for the manager and waited a long time. She was very friendly, but not very helpful. In the end, after explaining that our expectations were not met for a "luxury" hotel, the manager offered nothing. After a half-hour of back-and-forth, "It's our fault that we let them know earlier that it was broken" she finally offered a 20% discount, but because my card was already charged she would need to wire the refund to my account. That was a week ago, and I still haven't seen it.
Hotel was not full so there was space to go to the breakfast. Hotel was crowded employee but they were concentrated to discuss with each other, service was not on the top on their list. Breakfast was stuffy like one day used sock. I suggest to chef to visit some good hotel to see what is the fresh and good breakfast. This hotel quality is on B&B level.
I liked the staff, very comfortable hotel. We came with kids but that was not a problem. We had very big room. Most of all I liked design of hotel. Seems that hotel being recently redecorated and everything is cleen and fresh.
Spacious room with a kitchen. Nice modern decoration.
This hotel was amazing. The room was gorgeous and had excellent appliances. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant is amazing Armenian food and I could have eaten there every day. The Turkish coffee was especially delicious. It is a bit far from the downtown area, so be prepared to walk for 10-15 minutes.
Very well equipped room, convenient free parking, free WiFi, professional staff, nice restaurant (make sure you taste the Armenian wines!). We have stayed at three other hotels in Klaipeda before, but we will definitely come back to this one from now on. The only one disappointment was the breakfast which was served to the room: the plates were obviously prepared on the previous day and kept in the fridge.
Beautiful, modern, well equipped room. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Good location. Helpful staff. Good restaurant. Across from sculpture park and near old town Klaipeda.
Very good restaurant and design of hotel no air-condition
Wonderful restaurant with armenian cusine. Big rooms with kitchen. Good location - not far from port and old city. Good parking.
The room was very nice and spacious, the breakfast was also very nice. Also location was good to old town and also not far from good shopping mall The spa room was not prepared and to cold to enjoy
we stayed for 2 nights. rooms were not cleaned during our stay. no hot water on the second morning. receptionist had difficutlies in finding the hotel on the city map, not to talk of directons or tourist information.
Room interior, Restaurant
Kitchen in the room, free parking and free high-speed cable internet (free WiFi was not available anywhere). When we arrived there was a Russian-style wedding party in the hotel's restaurant. On our attempts to find 2nd restaurant in the hotel the party's host (or "tamada" in Russian) sweared on us like "what are you $@# searching here for?!".
Catering (breakfasts in my case) were excellent, room service - always on time. Hotel staff - very welcoming, all my caprices were immediately fulfilled. In the nearby room stayed family with a baby, I could hear their baby crying at night - probably, through the ventilation.
