Great views ad great staff Reconnection to wifi
Love the pool bar and the location to the beach. I also like the proximity to local bars and nightlife. The staff is very attentive and managers speak English. They have music next to the pool bar that is playing excellent music and they have a great happy hour by the pool. (2 for 1 drinks from 3-7) The rooms are immaculate and the entire complex is the same way. They have cabanas by the pool!! There is a separate family pool from the bar pool. They don't allow coolers, so you can't bring in your own beer and drinks. There is only 1 elevator for the whole complex. The beds are like sleeping concrete, they are hard as hell.
It was all good. Was able to bring my dog. late night noise in adjacent room & hall
Waiter took a long time to bring stuff to the pool ever for a beer..and also towels seem a little old and overused. Overall place is good and clean.
Nice rooms I asked for a late check-out and wanted to charge me $10 for one hour. Difficult parking too. I bought a hat at the boutique with a minor defect and asked them for a discount and they said they couldn't sell me the hat because it would look bad on the hotel to sell defective merchandise. Beware, if You need something like toothpaste (toiletries), they can't accommodate things like that, you have to wait until the store opens in order to buy it.
The staff was awesome! They were helpful and accommodating. Price was great for quality of stay. I'll be back! Better than resort row cuz you can walk to all the fun
Nothing. Never got a chance! Never went as the date got changed to Thurs & Fri, and I didn't notice till we were ready to leave. Everything else was sold out. Didn"t even get all my money back!
The pools The restaurant prices
Terrific time, Antonio the pool bartender was excellent, I work in the industry and he was five star. Great with the guests and the drinks were perfect.
For Mexico standards the hotel was nice but the staff were horrible. It was kind of clean The view was nice The access to the beach was nice The check in process was horrible and took way to long. Staff were rude and not helpful The restaurant's were not good and had horrible service The beds were so hard The hotel is loud
First time at Puerto Peñasco but it will definitely not be our last. Our stay was pleasant, I loved it and my kids loved the pool. The only thing I didn't like is that one of the towel guys gave us a little hard time when I went to go ask for towels. It seem to me that he didn't know what he was doing.
We found someone else's panties hanging in our shower.
Water Staff was unprofessional, guest were so rude loud and party all nite until 5 am running down the halls security unresponsive would not stay there again even if it was free.
The room had an odor that made my wife sick. We left two days into a planned four day stay.
Some renovations being done, considerate workers. Nice view, comfortable bed and pillows One central elevator. In office building Very food food at resturant No confortable chairs in room Only 5 TV stations in English, 3 are news Resturant food is expensive, over priced/ Pool not heated Nothing else close by, no with in walking distance.
Clean rooms , friendly/helpful staff , spa onsite, restaurant onsite , minutes away from the aquariaum beach/front/ access, 24/7 security ! What more can I say There was nothing for me to dislike
Fantastic views, spectacular beach and access, and it terrific restaurant\bar next-door with a great happy hour right on the water !!! All the fancier resorts had a lot of fees attached where as Playa Bonita did not charge all those extra fees Through kayak we paid $81 a night The rooms have some issues The drapes are difficult open, the doors squeak, the air-conditioner is very mediocre at best and our dresser drawers did not want to stay closed Probably because of the price it's pretty crowded and noisy on weekends
Friendly staff. Nice hotel. Gorgeous view.
Remodel was nice. Licat5
Ocean views are great.
a quick walk to the beach. Very nice pools and rooms! Only issue is that no one takes out the trash or makes the beds. I was only there for two nights but I can only imagine if it's bigger family or someone staying more nights what a hassle it will be to clean up.
Everything it was great we plan to go back
Service and no deposit
No acces to the beach
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The location,it was very close to the beach. However they had so many restrictions and areas that we couldn't have access to. During the 3 days I was there, they were working with super loud noises in the condo next to us. The staff did nothing about it. I didn't like that their instructions were not very clear. Once I got there I had to pay extra and get an upgrade. The website said 'up to 4 adults...all children are welcome', but when I was there they charge for minors (12 and up) as adults.
Ability to easily hit the beach No cleaning service during stay at least make the bed and give fresh towels
It has a great location, walking distance to the beach, 2 to 3 minutes away from the malecon . The rooms are very spacious, clean, just great. I loved the view from the rooms balcony No
Good size rooms and great pool area You have to walk on lose sand across a few hotel to get to the beach area.
Very nice, clean room with great amenities and excellent location.
Right on the ocean. Views are terrific. Great location, short walk to access beach. Nice pool, good security, gated complex. Walk to restaurants, bars, etc. Vendors bring jet skis and other toys to the beach for rent. Free Wi-Fi & good phone service. You are renting someone's condo, so the furnishings, quality & condition will vary from unit to unit. We had a 3 bedroom villa on the water. Had a great time, nothing notable to complain about.
The location and security at the condos made our stay very comfortable No coffee in the lobby so make sure you bring your own.
This place is idyllic. All the comforts of an American studio apartment, nestled in Rocky Point's Old Port. The owner took great care of us, providing tips about the area and making us feel at home. The inn is decked out in colorful Mexican decor and kept very tidy. This an absolute gem. No complaints whatsoever.
Close to the old part of town Unique hotel nice ownership air conditioning units were undersized, but we stayed during the peak hot season they didnt serve coffee in bed :)
The room was small, but used the space very efficiently. There was also a patio space with a beautiful view of the sea. The paint and decor was unique and beautiful, and everything was well maintained. The shower went into a drain in the bathroom floor, rather than taking up a separate space, but everything dried quickly in the coastal desert climate. I had to run the water for quite a while before it got warm, but once it did, it was plenty hot for my shower. This might mean an energy efficient heater with a switch, or a tankless system. I didn't ask. But LED lighting and solar panels suggest a commitment to environmental friendliness and efficiency. The owner was polite and friendly, and although he was not always in the office, we were able to keep in touch by text message. We got lost, and he stayed quite late waiting for us, and was very kind and polite about it. He made sure we knew that GPS might not get us there, and suggested printing a map from Google. This is important! The street names change frequently, and signs are not always accurate or even present. The hotel is right across fom the Plaza de Colosio in Old Port, next to an empty lot with "ocean view lot for sale" painted on a wall. I had to have a local show me the way the first time, but if you print out a map, you should have no problem. The location is convenient to a tourist section of Old Port, with shopping, patio restaurants, pharmacies, bars, frequent live music, palm trees, seagulls, fresh seafood, and ocean views. The people nearby are friendly and helpful. The WIFI was useful, since international data roaming can be quite expensive. This was a great value for the money. It had everything we needed, and nothing we didn't. Parking was listed as an amenity, but there isn't actually a parking lot. Street parking was available, and there is a gravel lot in the rubble of an abandoned building across the street. (Such abandoned structures are common in this part of Mexico, and do not indicate a bad neighborhood, as some Americans might fear.) So it is possible to park your car or truck nearby, but it's not what you might think from the description. Still, no one messed with our van there on the street, so it was fine. It is a border town, so it is best avoided during Spring Break. Since my husband and I look young, street vendors offered to sell us illegal drugs, and tried to pursuade us to come to tequila bars. This is not a reflection on the hotel, of course, but on American tourists who have corrupted this place. Overall, it was a lovely vacation. Navigating Puerto Penasco can be confusing, as street names change frequently, and signs are often incorrect or missing. Bring a map! And don't be afraid to ask for directions, even if you don't speak good Spanish. People here are generally friendly and glad to help, some for tips, many just out of genuine human kindness.
Locality Old air conditioning
I used to appreciate the security guard and semi closed parking lot. Sportsbook - bar on site Semi dead cockroach in bathroom of first room. Water on floor of entryway of bottom floor room (leaked in from rain). Beds are matresses on hard - fixed boxes. Only had 3 toels and zero washcloths in room, asked for 5 more and were only given 2 more after long verbal pleading with security guard ( who appears to make all decisions about requests)Bathroom toilet not working in 2nd room. Strip club out back window of bathroom. Had tent-canopy cut from suv roof and stolen. Security guard was asked to watch out for it but I suspect his frequent trips to his own truck was for a nip or 2 and he was nowhere to be seen in AM. (Police arrived within 2 minutes after phone call and seemed competent and were very polite and easy to deal with). Hotel Senorita used to be better but I fear that time has changed it.
This breakfast buffet at their onsite restaurant is very good and a very good value... The rooms are clean and very good water pressure. The beds are hard and uncomfortable, and need to be replaced with new ones, the one we got this time around was totally slanted to one side and very uncomfortable to sleep on.
good deal for your money no towels, kind needs renovating
Good price A little dirty
Good price Very old building even older rooms not a 5 star hotel not even a half star.
Hotel is near the beach, location is very centralized. TV don't work, toilet in room with no seat, hallways are wet from AC running, no Wi-Fi, dirty pool water. Rooms need to be renovated... Some fresh paint, toilet seat, cable TV and nicer bed linen would really make this a great hotel.
Hotel employees stole from us. Nothing was done. 'Money was not refunded for hotel either Please do not stay here! This place is terrible
The hotel was close to the beach and there was a guard watching vehicles and people come to and from to increase safety. The hotel is not well maintained and the staff did not seem to care about their guests at all. There was no hot water in the room. I complained about it and was told to let the right tap run for 10-15 minutes because a pump was broken. That did not work cuz it was the cold tap so i had a cold shower. I suspect the guy at the front counter who lied to me had a good laugh at my expense. Complained again and on day 2 a guy fixed it after 5 minutes without tools. The pool and hot tub were freezing again i was told a pump broke. Well fix it!!! It's not my fault the hotel was empty and i assume that was why we were treated so poorly. I had to tip the cleaning lady twice before we got hand and face towels and a second bar of soap. The sliding glass door needs adjusting as it all rusty. We have push it open with great force. There is a lot of poorly maintained items in this hotel. Its really pooly managed no wonder why people avoid it. I checked out a day early due to a family emergency and when i asked for a refund for the night i never used. I was told to call the internet company because there was nothing they could do. I asked for them to help me and they refused. Saying their english was not very good. The first room they gave us had a broken sliding glass handle see above for reason why. Only one english channel on tv cnn and the remote did not work until i complained again and then a guy put in the code for the remote and the ac remote needed fixing too. Hey at least they tipped eveything they fixed something. In all it was a horrible experience and i will never recommend this hotel to anyone but i will tell people to avoid it!!! Best western should never affliate their name with this hotel as it is an embarrassment.
It was convenient to the beach and to The great restaurant at Plya Bonita. Dragging luggage upstairs.
Close enough to the beach if walking without gear. Views were awesome. Pool is nice for the kids. Too far from beach if your hauling gear a foot. No way to drive up to beach had to drive around a bit. No fridge, no microwave, not enough towels. You had to sign out pool towels. Breakfast is in a cramped space and limited to hard boiled eggs and sweet bread some cereal and juice.
Close to the beach small breakfast small but good to snack Jacuzzi is small a lot kids played in it beds are a look small in a way not the most comfy beds
The value for the room received really cannot be beat. When you stay at a value hotel on a last-second getaway there are some things you just accept. The beds are stiff and uncomfortable and the sheets are nothing great. I would recommend bringing your own sheets. The hotel is a bit older and you can definitely see some wear and tear. For those who mirror with Rocky Point this is pretty typical for any hotel down there.
Price and staff Needs a paint job
Swim up bar In pool Rooms were dirty and damaged. Fans didn't work.
