Pullman Reef Hotel Casino - Cairns - Building

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room and view Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can’t recommend Pullman‘s Resort enough. The rooms, service, location were great (bed’s were so comfortable, you could have a spa bath and watch movies, room service food was beautiful (it’s all about the small touches), the bathroom had couple sinks, a large shower where you could sit down, even a makeup mirror) - the design of the room and the little things they had in the room for their guests comfort made all the difference. Every staff member we met was lovely and helpful. We stayed at the Ville in Townsville on the way back home from Cairns and the service was unapologetic and flat out terrible, rooms and facilities was a minus 100 in comparison to Pullman’s! If you’re stopping in Townsville I’d recommend Pullman’s sister Resort/Hotel the Mercure instead of the Ville or just drive to Cairns Pullman’s. We paid the same price to stay at both places and the difference was incredible, Pullman’s staff seemed to treat everyone as a valued customer whereas the Ville seemed to categorise who they treated well depending on what room they stayed in (according to management/staff the double deluxe rooms are ‘entry level rooms’ at the Ville). My husband and I had a wonderful birthday holiday in Port Douglas and Cairns, wish we had stayed a few more days at Pullman’s instead of staying at the Ville in Townsville and ruining the rest of our otherwise wonderful trip.
Cons: Nothing! Everything was great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything else
Cons: Parking exits very difficult for a large car
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness the staff the extra comfy bed.
Cons: The bed was way too high as I'm a short person.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Suite. Love the large room. Huge balcony. Great room for daughter to get ready for formal. Loved staying here. Would stay again. Would eat breakfast elsewhere.
Cons: Wasn’t quite the room specifically asked for but was okay. Wanted room in display photos. It was confirmed but we didn’t get that room. Lighting wasn’t fantastic for photos inside in this room but some great photo spots inside and on balcony as long as you faced ocean. Breakfast 5/10! Not enough staff on check in or check out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The included cooked breakfast complete with espresso coffee
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were spacious and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast also was very tasty - good range of food. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous.

Kewarra Beach Resort & Spa - Cairns - Building
3
9.1 Excellent (335 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Kewarra Beach, Kewarra Beach Resort & Spa is by the ocean, a 1-minute drive from Kewarra Beach and 8 minutes from Clifton Village Shopping Centre. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful ambience, bungalows in tropical forest next to the beach, calmness exuding from the air, the main lodge similarly relaxed. The highlight eating in the restaurant, extradinary food in a room open to the paperback forest, notably no music except the night calls of birds and insects and the breeze in the trees. Wonderful.
Cons: Although the days in NQ in winter are perfect it can be a little fresh at night. The bedding would be much improved with a dyna for the colder nights (yes, have to admit there is a slight chill in the middle of winter)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Awesome staff and greeting!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tropical gardens, beach, sound of waves, open air restaurant, it felt 1000 miles away but you weren’t. Instantly relaxing from the moment I arrived. Recommend to anyone.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Food was good
Cons: Musky swell and cobweb in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed and pillows were great, no doona but a blanket, amazing❗️
Cons: Dined at Kewarra resort restaurant for breakfast which was terrific. Dined also for dinner, good service and varied menu but tastes just weren’t there, particularly for the high costs.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great location with beach on edge of the property.
Cons: Staff ranged from friendly to unhelpful. Response to our requests (such as sitting next to fan at dinner so the mosquitos would bite us) were consistently rejected. Due to rainy weather conditions during our stay, there was nowhere to relax - only the one room cabin or reception area. There are no other facilities available under cover or free from mosquitos. Rainforest cabins were dated looking & really look onto a rainforest mangrove wetland type area which is (understandably) full of mosquitos. So it isn’t possible to relax on the patio area. Restaurant is limited & overpriced. Breakfast options very poor & very expensive. Room service extra $10 per order. You need a car. Not suitable for children. Overall a very disappointing experience.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything,a unique resort
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: Small fridges
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything...10/10
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like... the crocodile that was seen the day before..lol..
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The setting was perfect. A bit more lighting along the pathways to the accommodation would be good. Buffet breakfast was adequate but nothing very special. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The greatest asset of this resort is the staff. They were all very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bit more choice at breakfast and the addition of room service would be good.

Warrawong Lodge - Clifton Beach - Building

9.1 Excellent (68 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Warrawong Lodge in Clifton Beach, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Palm Cove Beach and Clifton Beach. Featured amenities include a library, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were really great, the room was simple but clean, comfy and the view was amazing, the pool is small but pretty much enough for us and once again the view is superb. In general the place is very nice and lovely and the surroundings are truly a paradise <3 we loved it!
Cons: I guess the only problem could be the location but the view is worthy. Besides if you have a car it won’t be a problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked the location in a bit of a hurry, based on a couple of the pictures shown, that in the end, did not do the place justice. The room views, balcony views, pool and a few nocturnal guests, namely frogs and geckos, made it a memorable experience, that we will certainly arrange again, when next in town.
Cons: A little unsure at first of the traffic light system for the single lane driveway, but nothing to be concerned with. It ensures no issues with access as the drive is a steep, but well worth it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stunning views, great continental breakfast, friendly hosts a beautiful hidden retreat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very nice place to spend few days to relax and enjoy your holiday. You can listen to the birds and other fauna around while in the pool or just chilling at the terrace. Plus, the views are espectacular!! The room was clean, new and with a comfortable bed. I would highly recommend this place.
Cons: Just be aware that you need a car to get there and move around.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We adored our stay, it was super luxurious, with breathtaking views and an infinity pool and heated spa. The facilities were well above and beyond our expectations. We were so sorry we could only stay for one night on this trip but we will definitely make the time to stay much longer in future . Perfectly designed to provide and deliver relaxation. They even provided gluten free options for breakfast.
Cons: There are a few stairs for a couple of the rooms, but you can request a room downstairs if you prefer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, in nature, beautiful gardens but most of all astounding view, spa and excellent pool with you – great deck and comfortable chairs and room to chillout in and relax and recuperate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful in all regards. Highly recommended. Thanks Frank and Karen.
7.5 Good
Pros: We had the lodge to ourselves! Wish we could've spent more time there to relax and enjoy the privacy, pool and spa. Instead we had a busy itinerary touring the FNQ.

Pros: Location the view was spectaxular
Cons: Cooked breakfast would have been brillant

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was very handy to everything. Spacious room and cheaper than nearby hotels
Cons: You do need to source paid parking but that is similar to hotels in this area. 24 hours was about 13$
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic, noisy at night from outside
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Did not have the breakfast. location was excellent and the staff were helpful when I checked in and during my stay.
Cons: Room was a bit stuffy not having access to opening a window other than that the room was very comfortable and clean.
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms were nice. The beds were comfortable. They offer a little continental breakfast and juice and milk in the main fridge anytime. Nice coffee and tea in the main area as well. The location is really good. It is walking distance to everything: restaurants, marina, shopping... Although there were a few cons (see below), I would stay here again.
Cons: I didn't read that there is NO PARKING available. Totally missed that. We had to park at a parkade a couple blocks away (although it was cheap when we stayed on the weekend). We stayed in a room facing the street, and the windows did not keep out the noise. You heard EVERYTHING that happened in the street. Also, there were bugs in our room (not in the second room as we had two) - we had to be careful of bringing in food. I know that this is not abnormal in Queensland.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location right in the heart of town; wonderful comfy bed; daily room service; breakfast in lounge Good to chat with people in the lounge; loved the interesting photos etc on the walls.
Cons: Reception initially rather unhelpful. No information about breakfast time finishing at 9.30 (we almost missed out on the first day as we’d had a lie-in after a long day of travel) We discovered on arrival that there was no parking available for guests. This should been put on their website.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the welcome from Betty, and her helpfulness to us for our stay. We liked the complimentary Continental breakfast which was unexpected. We liked the comfort and location of our room, close to the lift.
Cons: Parking close to the Hotel can be difficult to find.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable and room was clean. The receptionist were very friendly.
Cons: The reception which closes at 6 pm which was very unsettling when no prior instructions were not given how to check in till we arrived at the airport after 6 pm On the secondnight, we were woken up by fire alarm at about 11.30 pm. Because they was no receptionist around, there was no one to calll the fire brigade. We rush out into the street. We were left wondering what to be activate or do next. One of the guest, called the brigade and it took the brigade a while to contact the person responsible. Thank Goodness, no fire. Did all the guests heard the alarm and ran out?
9.5 Excellent
Cons: It's very noisy inside. Can hear everyone walking, talking in hallways and slamming doors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about this lovely boutique hotel It was extremely quiet... the complimentary breakfast was welcome - the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and spacious.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and had all that was needed for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious with a good choice of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, different types of breads, jam and marmalade and plenty of tea or coffee . All of this was presented beautifully. Kim and Marilyn were extremely good hosts and gave us helpful tips on where to eat and things to do. As we were leaving Kim gave us a map showing a different route back to Townsville going inland on the Tablelands. The map proved invaluable. We would certainly recommend Jungara to anyone that would like a quiet and peaceful break but within touching distance of town bustle.

Huge rooftop terrace and kitchen near the lounge and a walk in fridge. So comfy you never want to leave especially with free wifi and breakfast of cereal/ toast included. Staff are lovely and happy to help any time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, good location. Right next to night market. Easy to walk to the pier.
Cons: One guest in our room signed up a tour at the hostel but it got cancelled a day before. He didn’t get refund right away therefor he could not sign up for another tour immediately and he missed his only day to go on a full day cruise tour.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A great place to stay, you’re welcomed as soon as you walk in. Staff know what they are doing and are super friendly. The location , facilities and the comfort of the rooms are everything you want in a hostel .I cannot fault this place . 10/10 guys

Pros: We booked a private room in this hostel and were so pleasantly surprised - the rooms are better than most hotel rooms! The room was spacious, was super clean and the bed was so comfy! Shower was amazing and we had the best view of the sea from our balcony. Facilities were the best I’ve seen in a hostel, the kitchen and lounge look out over the sea which is so nice. Huge walk in fridge and free Netflix in lounge is a bonus. Would definitely stay again!
Cons: Nothing - Wish we could of stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic, very clean and comfortable
Cons: Only thing that would make it better is if there was a fridge in the room

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location location location...within walking distance of the lovely waterfront with all the restaurants. The Concierge, Junko, was excellent putting together tours for us. The view from the 14 level was spectacular.
Cons: The buffet breakfast that came with the room was more than a "little tired." It was fast asleep. The pancakes and waffles were mealy and inedible. The so-called sausages were mini-hot dogs. The "to order" section was grossly understaffed so lines were long waiting for eggs to order.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location was convenient
Cons: Smelt awful & found a large bug in my bed
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was awesome. Everything was walking distance which was great because we didn't have a car! Had breakfast one day at the hotel, it was superb. Really loved the idea of making your own fruit juice (freshly squeezed orange juice) and also fresh vegetable juice (beet root, carrot & melon was my favorite). ALL STAFF downstairs were beyond helpful!!
Cons: 2 things: 1. For a 5 star hotel it needed some refreshing, the carpet upstairs looked and felt worn and paint needs to be redone. 2. The housekeeping staff knew we were 3 in the the room and kept only leaving 2 towels. Had to call for more. Additionally, after the room was "cleaned" I would still see hair and garbage on the ground. I wasn't too happy about that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great! The room is clean and very nice! The buffet in the morning is good with many variety with a juicer that you can choose with vegetable and fruit you want. Definitely a good value for your bucks.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was good , room large with a balcony
Cons: Thought the bar needed table service
8.3 Excellent
Pros: As above
Cons: The room I had on the 3rd floor did not have sheer curtains which restricts your privacy when you open the blockout curtains. There was a couple of dried food on floor which should have been removed.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, great location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location - central to Cairns shopping/dining area and the marina. Super helpful staff in terms of helping us find a jungle tour last minute that fit our schedule. Fast service. Stayed with my family (including 2 kids) for a couple nights as a home base to see the Reef. Decided to venture a bit when we had extra time to the scenic train nearby.
Cons: As others have said, not the newest hotel. Hot tub not that hot (I like it especially hot). But none of this really mattered for our needs.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, room was spacious and clean
Cons: Prepaid $23 per day for the worst breakfast ever. A fair bit of option but everything offered was either tasteless, cold or not cooked right - felt very cheap and that they could do a lot better for the money. Only plus was there's a lot of fresh fruit. The bed was lumpy and not comfortable at all! We've heard this from other guests as well. I booked this hotel partially for the spa outside and it was broken and unable to heat up. Very disappointed in that.
6.8 Good
Cons: Our stay was quite pleasant ,however the bed was very lumpy and we had to change the pillows as they were worn out and had no support ,but were replaced on request ,the rooms were quite dusty and could do with a good spring clean .They are looking a bit old and need refurbishing

Pros: Check in was easy and staff friendly. There was air conditioning in each bedroom and the dining/lounge plus fans too which was nice. The place was well presented.
Cons: Despite there being a strict noise policy, certain guests still were loud throughout the night and early morning, including a loud fight in the courtyard. No one enforced the noise and the walls were not very soundproof. The hot water was inconsistent in the shower, mine went cold, one was cold and one was like warm.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff made you feel like a guest in their home, totally accommodating. great value, spacious suites, wonderful pub with delicious food and great sunset views right across the street. This is a neutral statement, but if you want to be near nightlife or access to the city, this is not the place for you. It's quiet, and somewhat remote. But if that's what you are looking for, a quiet place to relax and unwind, this is the place for you.
Cons: Nothing. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great spot for a brief stay. Compact room which was spotless, well-equipped, comfy and well sound-proofed from traffic noise (it's close to a busy road and a drive-through McDonalds). Very convenient to highways, as well as to central Cairns.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The facilities were very clean and comfortable and the location was great as it was close to everything we needed ie. IGA, pharmacy/health store and the airport.
Cons: The only minor thing was that with louvres for windows in the toilet and bathroom of the 3 bedroom apartment meant that a couple of mosquitoes came through.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We came up from Melbourne for the Wolfe Brothers concert at the hotel so for us it was a perfect location. I think the room was quite nice, very compact, it had everything we needed for an overnight stay. We even had a little breakfast pack for the morning which I wasn't expecting so that was nice. 8.0 Excellent
Pros: Private screen on bunk beds
Cons: Very small room and only 1 toilet on the floor
7.5 Good
Pros: very good breakfast, perfect location (right next door) for taking the early prodive liveaboard scuba boat
Cons: VERY loud late into the night, which is not ideal for those having to get up at 5am, but I guess to be expected at hostel style accommodation
7.0 Good
Pros: It is very clean, it does look good and the breakfast is really nice. Also if you like big party hostels this is probably a good place for you.
Cons: Not a welcoming atmosphere, not really nice spots available to relax and also not very easy to meet people as a solo traveler compared to other hostels I've been.
6.8 Good
Pros: I have been in Bounce for eight days and the breakfast was amazing. Also, each roommate has an individual locker. On average, the atmosphere is cool and there are plenty of activities.
Cons: I have a bad experience the day before leaving the hostel. One staff ex-member was having sex in a mixed dorm with ten roommates. It was a nightmare because they were very noisy and disrespectful. Another drawback was the cleanliness but is difficult to keep a hostel perfect all the time. The microwave has never been cleaned.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room and the beds were very, very comfy.
Cons: Didn't expect the noise but we accepted as we're there on a weekend.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: just think about a hostel which provides free airport transportation as well as free breakfast with massive budget friend daily fee, in addition the facility and staff are extremely good
Cons: absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast with Pancakes
7.0 Good
Pros: Perfect location in the middle of Cairns city centre. A few minutes walk from the sea side with open air barbecue & pool, and from the harbour. Good breakfast - possibility to buy non-dairy alternatives and be reimbursed if you don't eat dairy products. Shared kitchen with a lot of space to cook your meals. En-suite bathroom.
Cons: Noisy every night from 5 pm for happy hour. Not so clean rooms with a really bad smell. No curtain on the beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hostel, kitchen amazing equipment and yummy free breakfast in the morning - pancakes were amazing and lots of variety. The bar itself wasn't too loud if you didn't want to drink which was good. Beds comfy with own light and plug. Staff really nice and helpful!
Cons: Not that many washing machines. Can be a bit weird/annoying if you want to eat dinner and theres no space on the tables as its connected with the bar.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location of this Hostel is great especially if you know the area to walk around. They offer some great extras like a good breakfast and also Free Gym access to local gym which is top for me being a Fitness Instructor. The breakfast offered Cereal and also Fruit and Wholegrain bread. The rooms themselves had a large bathroom which felt very homely and all staff seemed friendly and happy to be working.
Cons: On the first day i asked about activities and dinner and the staff member told me there is nothing on however I later foudn out there was a entire activitiy boardand also that night was a FREE Guest bbq so product knowledge is def a key here.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a comfortable bed. Great location and great value for money. Peace and quiet. Lovely hosts.
Cons: Very little to dislike - Now we are being picky - Soap dish we feel is located in the wrong position in the shower as my husband kept hitting it. It would of been handy to view the TV from the bed - husbands idea. Parking was a bit tight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, very friendly and helpful managers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: ease of check in (considering we arrived very late), layout of room was great, quiet location, cleanliness of facilities (loved having a washer & dryer in the unit)
Cons: nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Unit 5 downstairs. Has everything you need for a reasonable price in top season. And is away from all the hustle and bustle with small shopping cntr around the corner (IGA). Small 1 bedroom appartment (in desperate need of some white paint as it is all light and dark green which make it unnecessarily dark) with good shower over bath, washing machine and dryer, small balcony with filtered sunlight looking over golfcourse and glimpses of the pool., kitchen with small fridge, no freezer, 2 induction plates, undercover parking, good Optus reception. We stayed 13 nights. The only downside are the frequent airplains coming over, which really did not worry us, however you can understand why people have to turn up the volume of their tv. Nights are very quiet. It was a really good base for us and we enjoyed staying there. Managers Helen and her husband go out of their way to make you feel at home. They even lend us their personal BBQ as the one on the property is waiting for replacement. We would certainly go back. Visit the Boat Harbour club, you can walk there or get the courtesy bus..great sunsets!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was central to all the tourist sites we were planning on visiting.
Cons: Even though this was our choice given the lateness of the booking, the room was a bit cramped for 4 adults.

Cons: Having to leave

Pros: Location! 5 minute walk from the marina where the tours left from, the pool was fantastic, breakfast was great although expensive with amazing setting next to the marina. Staff really helpful and booked us a trip late in the evening for the next day.
Cons: Parking and arrival at the hotel. Had to drive around about 4-5 times before we could get to the entrance. They have a tiny space. They had valet parking which was great although quite expensive. Found the experience but stressful after long day travelling.

Pros: Great view & location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Poolside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Locality, staff and the rooms and facilities were beautiful
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We wanted to be able to relax and unwind at our first destination in Australia, this was definitely the place, the pool was very relaxing and the sunrise on the marina side was breathtaking. They had our room ready and allowed us to check in early. They also had complementary champagne and chocolates upon arrival. They also upgraded our room to a higher level so we had a better view of the bay. The location is with in walking distance to everything, including the ferries at the marina. All in all one of the best parts of our stay was the staff, they were all so welcoming, accommodating and extremely pleasant (esp Kelly and Luke!). I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: pool furniture showed some signs of wear.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location walking distance from the harbor with many shops and restaurants within the same complex. Luxurious and modern rooms without feeling pretentious.
Cons: Breakfast service was $20 and most of the buffet choices were unappetizing; the omelettes and French toast prepared on request by the chef were pretty good but overall there are likely better options around Cairns. The pool was really nice but closed unusually at 8pm.
