Pros: The location is excellent. The room is spacious and very clean. Hotel facilities are excellent.
Cons: Reception did not speak good English so we struggled to explain to them what we need. We booked a townhouse with lake view but when we went in there was no view of the lake at all . The view is covered by the trees. So we asked to change to a regular room with lake view . No one helped us with getting our bags from the car to the room. There was no iron in the room and when we asked for one we got a mini ironing board !! The Spa opens very late during the day which means you can not use it during the morning cause it is open from 2 pm only.

Pros: We loved the wellness facilities and the welcome drink. The hotel has a variety of Saunas and Pools and also a private mall to access the lake - e.g. to take a swim.
Cons: There is no way you can get something to eat at the hotel since the kitchen closes at the same time as does the wellness. Also upon coming, the room was prepared only for one person - me, although I booked the room for the two of us.

Pros: Beautifully located right at the Domasa shore. Hidden in the forest, therefore peaceful and quiet. The rooms and the villa (we rented both) were very well equipped and nicely furnished. The food was delicious - enough options for both meat eaters and vegetarians.
Cons: The restaurant staff could have been more professional (the waiter complained about having to come to the table multiple times). The bathroom in the villa was really small.

Cons: -first and main problem - personel do not speak in english - it should be the „must” in this class od hotel. Only one lady on reception spoke in english. Restaurant personel also do not speak english - just a little bit. Spa personel do not speak english at all. - AC in the room do not work, well it was running but not cooling. Outside was 15Celcius, in the room 27. Even after opening the Windows it get hot very fast. Personel was not able to help - not sure if the reason was language berier or a technical issue. Temperature makes our stay uncomfortable. -small choice of vegetarian meals during breakfast, dinner and a’la carte -drinks additionaly paid during dinner - booking guests receive rooms with the technical area view

Pros: I liked the liquid caramel at the breakfast and amazing coffee. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It was very hard to find nice hiking and bike paths. It was impossible for us to figure out how to turn off the aircon/heating in the room apart from leaving the balcony door open, the aircon/heating was noisy during the night.

Pros: The Karpatia is between Humenne and Humenne Mesto stations, but rather nearer to the main station (and bus stations). Although next to a busy road and railway, soundproofing is good, the property is well run, well maintained, breakfast is both plentiful and diverse, and served from 6am on weekdays! There is a pleasant park outside the hotel, and free parking for hotel guests who haven't arrived by public transport is available. There is also a leisure club on site (which I didn't use).
Cons: Although still a relatively reasonable price, the hotel have increased prices considerably in the last twelve months. Although still good value for money (particularly compared to hotels in Britain), the hotel is clearly aiming for the more upmarket traveller / business person.

Pros: Location within walking distance (less than 5 minutes) from the train station, 10 minutes to the city centre. Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean room and a very comfy bed. Bonus points for insect screens on the window - no chance for annoying mosquitoes to get in :)
Cons: The rooms are a little plain, lacking decorations. There isn't much space to sit apart from on the bed. Toilet paper holder in the bathroom is in an awkward place so you keep knocking it down while using the loo.

Pros: I love the location of the hotel! It´s near the center and you can take a nice walk.
Cons: I hate a bed. It was so uncomfortable, hard and really near the ground. Also breakfast was so simple and the same every day. Instant coffee was never-coming-back factor for me. AND wellness is for an additional cost. For everyone.

Pros: The hotel itself and the personnel are very welcoming and friendly (with just few exceptions, like the receptionist during check-out) and the whole atmosphere is cozy and warm. The rooms are spacious enough and quite clean, beds very comfortable. The restaurant is top quality and the breakfast and lunch buffets are very good and cheap options; also, the restaurant's personnel is really kind and helpful. All the food is excellent and very tasty.
Cons: The spa facility was a bit of a disappointment, as there are only 12 sunbeds available, so the access is only for 12 persons at a time. Considering this is a 6 floor hotel, the spa size could be considered too small. Another inconvenient I could see is the power sockets in the rooms, as there is only one available near the beds, so not very handy when a couple needs to charge phones and cameras...

Cons: A lot of the walls need repainting (see room 411 as example). Rooms doors almost impossible to close quietly, so each morning I was worked very early by doors banging shut. Lights in hotel corridor very late in switching on, so like walking in the dark.

Pros: Wonderful place to escape from city noise and rush. Extremely quiet and peaceful, with tremendous stars in the night sky and light mist over the lake in the morning seen from the terrace. Once you wake up and enjoy this beautiful view from the panoramic window you realize you don't want to leave this place untill you walk it all around. Lovely hotel with the restaurant decorated in a folk style. They offer various and tasty breakfasts. Friendly and caring staff is a great benefit. Double room suite for four and king-size beds made our staying perfect. The lake is big, so there are great opportunities for fishing and sailing. Nice playground for children. In low season there are just few guests.

Pros: Large 2-rooms apartment, very large terrace with a lake view. Great location near the beautiful lake, in a green and quiet environment. Easy to get by car (any other transport is questionable - may be by taxi or bike)).
Cons: They attempted to change for a double room, while we have initially booked a large 2-rooms apartment for 3 adults. However, when we complained to the reception, the problem has been solved. Smell of sewage in the bathroom, after using a shower. No refrigerator in the room. The breakfast was rather mediocre, it was not worth 5 EUR per person they have charged.

Balcoon door was so difficult to open, it was literally ´mission impossible´ for us. This hotel really needs to start solving their problems. asap

Pros: Rooms are amazing, they look really luxurious. Bathroom is comfy with huge shower. Every room has balcony with view of Domaša. Perfect mattresses. They have perfect TV system (even with TV archive), so you don't need to watch LIVE shows, but you can play whatever you like.
Cons: Wellness is Extra Charge (15€/person/2hours)! Won't tell you before. It is empty during winter, so it's normal you will find spider nets somewhere. Small restaurant (but it has only 15rooms, so it's ok.
