Location and cleanliness
Cost Simplicity Helpful staff
Close to Texas State. Friendly staff the room is clean but the bathroom tub needs to be replaced. the beds are poor and the sheets need to also be replaced.
swimming pool - i stayed 2 nights and i could only use it once they closed it early on friday old pillows, did not clean the bathtub we did get 1 clean towel and 2 washcloths
The location was great The grounds were very dirty. My room was dirty and it seemed as it was "cleaned" in a hurry. The floor was sticky and the sink was never cleaned. The "guests" were roaming about the grounds being quite loud at all hours and some seemed to be permanent residents as several were cooking in their rooms (yes, their doors were wide open so I could see in). One of the"roamers" was surely a drug addict as some strange exchange took place in plain sight. And another asked me for some spare change. Never again will I use this motel. I expected 1-1/2 star quality but this one should be minus 4 stars.
Friendly check-in, fast and courteous. The room design was nice, so much so most of my friends were wondering what Motel 6 I was at. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. There was need of cosmetic repair in the room. I imagine these rooms get trashed by college kids, or something. There was a hole busted through the shelving for the t.v. which was unattractive, and some of the paneling on the shelf by the table was peeling off.
The value of the place was very good. I was traveling as a single mom with a small child and this place was well within my budget. The facility was clean upon arrival and seemed like a safe place to stay. The room itself seemed like it was newly renovated and was in excellent condition. The pool was also in good condition and the water seemed to be clean. The staff of the place was also very friendly. Upon arrival I felt that it was an ok place to stay but was definitely not upper class. There wasn't a good place to park my car since my room was on the back side of the building and the parking lot was quite a distance from my room. There are also no elevators and the cleaning staff seemed to always be blocking the walkways since the walkways are on the smaller side to begin with. Although my room was clean, there were tiny bits of black fuzz all over my sheets on the bed and the air conditioner unit needed a bit of cleaning as well because there was dust all inside of the front vent.
didn't have my reservation and waited 15-20 minutes for them to book me another room. I had originally reserved a king size bed and got 2 full size beds. There were crickets outside the door and inside my room. The 2 bar soaps were small and smelled bad
Location is great - very easy access to I-35 and grocery store, wonderful restaurants and Cabellas is just in the other side of the freeway! Less than 5 minutes :) Parking on right of the hotel can be very tight if your room is in the back. Due to being cold, the ice machine was not working due to potential of pipe freezing - this needs to be addressed for their customers. Rooms have been updated -2nd time here.
It beat camping out in the elements In extreme high temps, the air was off and it took til 1:00 am to cool the room, pillows were old and hard as a feed sack and there was a 1' to 1.5' crack under exterior door that light shined in. No telling what else went thru the crack. Never again!!!!
Good location for my needs Price was extremely high for this type of hotel due to the F1 race that was going on during the weekend.
The location was central to most of the Town of Buda. Very dated and tired décor and infrastructure.

Good price and easy to get to location close to Austin and San Marcus The hotel advertised it had a washer and dryer. They did not. They could wash my one load for a charge of $10. I declined. Be prepared to buy breakfast. They had coffee, bananas and mini sweet rolls. That was it Bathrooms are TINY.
I wound up with 2 full beds which was not what I requested
Easy access. Good price. Not much of a breakfast. Upstairs neighbors noisy.
First of all they tried to charge me for the room again, even though I told them I had already paid. Then they told me 'Oh they ripped you off' its not that expensive. Then they tried to charge me for a 9 & 10 year old. Claimed they looked like adults.
Rooms were clean and area well kept Could have been in a more visiable location from IS35. Would have liked to have more towels. The rooms were quite suffie when entering. Needs air fresher after cleaning. Was disappointed in the breakfast area--needs a micro oven to warn the pastry.
Hotel owners are very friendly and take care of their customers.
The bedroom part of the room was ok. The bathroom however was horrendous. Dirty door, rusted and peeling curtain rod and towel holder, stained/scratched tub, blistered/peeling coating on tub drain covers with scotch tape. The kind of person at the front desk was unexpected. There was a drinking, loud group of sketchy people on the parking lot by the stairs. Like the title says - you find yourself in a cheap motel after paying a decent hotel rate.
I came for the weekend of Marley Fest in Austin and obviously the hotels were going to be more expensive and I had waited until last minute to book HOWEVER I paid $200 for complete trash. There were holes in the towels, the shower nob was broken so I couldn't change the temperature of the water so basically I took a cold shower both days. The A/C unit was so dusty after the first night my throat was killing me from all of the allergens. I could really go all day but the worst part was I didn't even want to bring it to the managers attention because she was already EXTREMELY rude at check out. So pretty much I know it's not a 4 star place but it's not even one star.
Disgusting, unprofessional, rude, and uncouth are just some words that describe this "hotel." Of course, driving up to this place, I didn't expect much from the poorly maintained landscape, locked front office area (even though the sign said open) and reeking unusual odor coming from the front office area when someone finally did come however, I still would have liked to be treated with some respect as I was a paying customer but the manager didn't agree. I approached the office and after about 30 mins, I was yelled at from across the way by the manager. Long story short, the manager made 2 wrong assumptions. 1st, she assumed I was underage after which I immediately showed her my ID and showed her I was over 21. 2nd, she wrongly assumed the 4 people I had with me were going to stay in the 2 person room, which they were not. After speaking my case, she ignored my evidence, refused to give me a room AS WELL AS a refund. I was not going to be out the money I paid in advanced so I called the booking company, told them about the difficulty and requested a refund which they gave (an hour long process). With all that being said, I would highly recommend against this hotel.
