The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. This made our short stay most enjoyable! The breakfast selection was generous, and it was delicious. The passages to the parking garage were extremely tight and also very steep into the garage, making it somewhat difficult to maneuver even our small car. However, this was not a very important factor in our stay, thus only a minor problem.
The rooms were okay but not sound proof. The bathroom was large and nice. The food in the hotel resturant was great!! No internet access in the room. No towel service for the pool or beach. We had to buy towels that we threw away because we had no room to carry in our luggage.
the breckfast nothing
spacious rooms, food, location, bed service in restaurant (variable), staff seems to loose their good spirits on a busy night.
The staff was excellent and did everything they could to make our stay in the hotel a pleasant experience
To our surprise the room are small apartments with a small kitchen, bedroom, bath room and livingroom. Rooms are clean and the personnel is friendly and speak english. The hotel is a 15 min walk of the city center of Olot, which is a picturesque town with trendy shops and restaurants. The nearby volcano park offers a great surrouding for a walk along volcanos (very old ones which are completely overgrown by green and dont have the appearance of rough smoking mountains still hot from the lava below). A real pricewinner is the trip to Ribes de Freser were you can take the train to Vall de Nuria, a monastery build in a valley about 2000m above sea level. The train ticket is a bit expensive 20 euro pp (return ticket) but the ride is spectacular We had no negative experiences.
Good safe parking. In a rather "run down" urban area.
There was plenty of space and, though busy, it was very quiet. There was plenty of off road parking right outside and, although the tone of the area was not fantastic, it was only a 10 minute walk into the town. There was a very handy supermarket right opposite (we were "upgraded" into an appartment rather than the room we had booked. But that was great for us).
The friendly staff. Nice room.
Good place for the money. It is clean and you have your own room with air and your own bathroom. The parking outside is easy and it is a nice small town with close proximity to the park. The walls are thin as somebody mentioned, although if you turn the air on I found it to be fine. I would definitely stay here again.
Friendliness, cleaness, breakfast
Located in an area not well served for family hotels. Nice pool. Swimming pool opening hours could have been longer.
A very friendly, family run hostal with a nice catalan restaurant. Located fairly close to the mountain peaks of the eastern pyrenees. The swimming pool was large and very clean but expensive to use.
Nice breakfast although we didn't enjoy the plate of meat on the first day (embotits?) - much better when we asked for cheese. We had no idea that the hostel's facilities would close the day after we arrived because of the end of school holidays - i.e. pool, games room, and restaurant and bar. Information on thw website to this eefct would have been useful so as not to disappoint expectations. Room quite cramped and dark.
Breakfast Awful beds, this is a youth hostel not a hotel. You pay the price of a hotel, however.
Nice and friendly staff, amazing views to mountains. The room is ok - clean and comfortable, but the bed was a little short even for my height (182cm). There was also a nice swimming pool, but we didn't have a time to use it. Wifi available. Couldn't choose the breakfast menu, I prefer the buffet breakfast.
Too expensive for facilities. It was a campground with a hotel attached. Room was spartan with low ceiling and no products. For Spain, and even for France it was way over priced for the value provided. There was nothing we really liked. It was a very minimal facility for a very high price: 90 euros with breakfast far exceeded what we have paid in many much nicer places, like the place we are in now, Auberge Catalane where we have demi pension for 95 euros with remarkable food and a much nicer room.
It is in a good locsation to break the journey from the Pyrenees tothe sea. ahugely over-priced for what was on offer, and the time of year. Room was very basic.
very peaceful campsite set on the edge of the montains. Helpful staff with good english language skills
It is a nice camping site. Supermarket is at the site, you can cook at your own room, or use the resturant. We wonder why for using the swimming pool we had to pay extra.
family atmosphere the facilities for children were dirty and our mobile home smells
