Pros. It was in lacrosse
Cons. We felt very dirty during our stay. Upon entry to our room we found stray hairs all over the towels, a fingernail on our bed, and stains on our carpet. Our experience is what I would of expected from a $50/night sketchy motel, not a $200/ night best western. In addition, aside from the pool area the entire hotel seemed very outdated. The bathrooms were recently updated, but was done so on the cheap, and cleaning wasn't thorough. I don't believe I've ever left a negative review, but there's a first time for everything I guess!
Pros. Pool area set up was great. Loved the Solo Cup dispensers. Genius. If you are going to require plastic cups, it's a great idea to provide them. Good thinking.
Cons. Is there or isn't there a mini-golf course out back? It looked like it needed some work. Had I known about it, I would've take my kids (assuming it was included in the price of room).
Cons. Very dated
Pros. Water park for kids. Life guards very friendly and outgoing.
Cons. Dirty. Hotel staff rude. Don't expect to sleep here before midnight, very loud.
Pros. The room's size was great.
Cons. Upon making my reservation I was given wrong info. Checking in the front desk woman wasn't very friendly. I was given a paper explaining internet, pool times, breakfast, and lastly explaining "quiet hours" and that there would be security walking each hall to enforce said rule-- this was an utter lie. I was up until 4 a.m. due to loud and obnoxious people in the hall as well as 3 different times having people trying their keys in my room door. Not once was there security to enforce a quiet hour rule. The room itself wasn't cleaned well, I had to wipe down the table, desk, chest of drawers and nightstand myself. There was an immense amount of hair on the carpet, which stuck promptly to my bag and clothes when I knelt down to get items from my bag. The beds were described as "queen" but were slightly smaller than a FULL size bed I have at home, and the mattresses were hard as a rock. The hotel itself is nothing spectacular, a bit out of date. The breakfast bar worker was ridiculously rude and obnoxious. I'm not at all pleased with my stay and definitely won't be wasting money here again.
Cons. The facility was a bit old. Furnishings and the double deadbolt locks were interesting.
Pros. The pool has a lot to offer for all ages. It is very close to downtown LaCrosse and lots of parking available. The breakfast and coffee was handy. The restaurant had a live band on Saturday night which was very entertaining and convenient.
Cons. The door to the bathroom was pape rthin and looked like there was water damage to the bottom of it. The bathroom sink was clogged and the nozzle to turn on the shower was broken so it was difficult to turn it on but eventually we got it.
Pros. Stayed 10/26-27/2014 @ room 214 with family (wife,1yr old and 4yr old). found this thru kayak and read most reviews. Tis true that the place is a bit dated but i found it very accomodating and clean. Our double room was suprisingly modern and clean: big screen flat tv, comfortable and clean beds, new couches, new carpet. Bathroom was mediocre but clean. The waterpark was fantastic. The entire area overlooking the waterpark wascoziky warm! Perfect for a cool fall day. My toddlers enjoyed the clean and warm water of the toddler pool. Yes, a toddler pool! Water as low as 6" and as high as 18"-ish. Stayed there for an hr watching the kids from the edge, with foot in blissful water. Bought food from their hotel resto for dinner and it was delivered promptly within 15min. In the AM, the free continental breakfast had a suprisingly wide selection. Reasonably priced everything. Loved our stay and will come back.
Cons. Big pool with big slide had cold water.
